Discussion Who is your Favorite Strawhat ?

Nico Robin of course! She's smart, mature, beautiful, and most of all, she's the user of my favorite devil fruit in the entire series, the Hana Hana no mi (Flower Flower fruit).

Zoro is my second favorite because of his awesome Santouryu style.

Usopp. I have this weird feeling... that after Luffy, he's the more "straw hat" of the crew.
Crazy things happens to him, he has many of the weird caraterial tracts of other crew members... He's the one who always struggled the most to keep up with other's strenght. And he's the one who at the end of the story will be the character who grew the most, both in terms of courage and in terms of power.
He will never be stronger than the monster trio, but as an active SH member this won't change the fact that in the end... he will become a monster himself. I hope he will make Van Augur cry in despair, while Yasopp will finally cry tears of fatherly joy.
Oh, and he's the only SH who surpassed luffy's bounty... In a way. Keep this phrase always in mind when you speak of Usopp. "In a way". That's why he's so awesome for me!

Zoro, robin and luffy. Luffy(especially using his HH) and zoro for their badass fights. But outside fights, that would be Robin. Her comments are the best. And she doesn't get the exaggerated eyes and mouth blah blah. And she's cute, her backstory was especially moving, the enies lobby arc (especially when she finally cried and decided to live). She's just perfect.

Zoro is a close second. Lawd he knows what to say at the right time. He's fights are epic and the way he slices stuff up. He's the embodiment of bad ass. Also that time he took the fall for luffy when kuma came and the time he swore to never lose again while referring to luffy as pirate king (first meeting with mihawk at zeff's restaurant) were both amazing.

And lastly he supports luffy, he's the most loyal to luffy IMO, he doesn't second guess him and most of the time he's the one pointing out the need to give luffy respect as captain at certain times. He's also mostly the voice of reason in the crew and remains calm enough to give unbiased opinions and actions to take when they're faced with something nerve racking. If he had his own crew, he'd make one hell of a captain. I also like the way he's grown and constantly trains to get stronger. His total lack of direction is hilarious and adds some nice points to his character.

He threatened to leave the crew if Luffy accepted Usopp without an apology, so Zoro would be a hard captain, but probably smarter than Luffy. I think respecting Luffy as a captain came only during the arc that Usopp left the crew, but otherwise I don't remember any mention of it.

Sanji!! He's kinda the smartest guy when it comes to strategy. I hope he will be put forward in the next Arc. I want to see an Okama-Sanji when he's in a desperate situation! I think there's something admirable about his strength. He doesn't need a devil fruit, weapons etc. This man alone is a big deal. He said once he will be the most dangerous man of the Mugiwara, and i hope he will be!

Well my point was that he'll mostly do what luffy says without hesitation. He has respect for him as a person and captain.
The straw hats are generally like this (especially sanji as well) but its more evident in zoro.
There was the time he saved smoker on luffys orders and also didn't fight back after luffy told him not to in jaya island when Bellamy attacked them. He was opposed to both of them but didn't argue with luffy. I guess I just feel that way because he's the last one that'll argue with a decision luffys makes. Granted the rest of the crew will still obey luffy but they're more likely to argue with his decisions at times. And although there truly hasn't been another situation like usopp leaving, his comments there at least perfectly portrays how he feels in that regard.

I usually see him doing as Luffy asks when it comes to fighting or protecting others. And I guess when it comes to pride? Otherwise Zoro has gotten annoyed at Luffy for not stickin to the plan, like when they were infiltrating Iceberg's place or Enies Lobby.

Haha of course he does get angry at him. I just said he's like the least likely to argue with a decision luffy made. If luffy actually tells them he gonna be going off on his own, zoro might not actually have a problem with that. After all most of the times he seems mad is because luffys gonna be hogging the action alone and Zoro's crazy about fights.

Naturally. After all it was zoro that called him out to stop messing around as they are now in the new world.
If its something serious that's directly relating to captainship/ leadership which luffy isn't living up to his duties, zoro would be the one to lecture luffy first. But asides that he rarely has issues.

Since the issue of the poll has been raised by the local mods, I'll not comment on it but the thread title and poll are extremely and contradictory.

My favourite Strawhat is by far Zoro. It's first of all his personality and then his fighting skills that make him stand out for me. I love the way his resolve is shown in the manga, not just for his own dream but also in the moments where he stands in to fight for a crew member. I think he's slowly accepted within himself I believe the role of Vice Captain( though that I dont think that'll be confirmed in the manga for a while, if ever) and slowly grown into it. Love it when he gets inbetween an enemy and Luffy as he did with Pica.

I've always liked sword-based fighting and Zoro is presented so beautifully and even something comical as fighting with a sword in his mouth has been made to seem pretty cool. Plus those moments he channels his inner demon to attacks .
Lastly, the crew gets some awesome clothing designs and Zoro's are some of the coolest "manly" ones we see with the crew.

i like OP because of theese weird characters obviously, but i like luffy just as much for the same reason, only i count luffy out in this because i kinda see him diferently then the other straw hats, hes the one that brings them all to be like they are right now, so i cant pick between anyone and him, he is in a diferent category for me.

on the matter of the pool, while i agree with the mods on how the pool should be, i dont think he has to change it if he doesnt want to, its his pool in his thread, what is so bad about him doing the pool he feels like doing? so i think we should leave him be, anyone too outraged can simply not vote and make a pool of theyr own or something.

These two guys are my favourites too. In fact all of the Straw Hat crews are my favourites. But a particular one is my favourite of all and that is Chopper. I like him because he's cute and he always shows funny reactions upon people's compliment on him which makes me laugh all the time. I even bought the Chopper stuff toy as part of my collection.

(Kinda funny reason though... )
