Discussion Who will get Ace's Mera Mera no Mi (Fire) Devil Fruit?

Robin isnt weak at all with her devil fruit power if she could add armament haki to the hands she sprouts she could beat many strong opponents without effort

I know wat you meant, imagine robin with armament haki, summon arms with it, DONE!!! that is why I compared rebecca with her to begin with. The next chapter is really what we need to tell how strong rebecca truly is, however being a relevant participant and knowing how she is not going to drop right off the bat, is enough to give an premature estimate that she is strong! in her on right! which makes her a very viable candidate on taking the mera mera fruit.

I also doubt, that any current member of SH will take mera mera. Because, their character is already developed, they have their own fighting style. Oda will not add a layer of mera mera ability to this character, which without a doubt will overshadow their already developed skill set.

Again I'm not talking only about BB in person, but even if any of his current or new crew members gets Ace's DF, then it would make the crew considerably stronger, thus Luffy and his crew will have even more problems when challenging them in the future. That's why I think it would be too much to give another powerful DF to BB's crew.

And if some new member of Luffy's crew gets it, then it would be quite ok, since without it even having an alliance with Law and even with Jimbei joining I still can't see how Mugivaras can currently challenge any Yonkou.

But thats it... the Strawhats from now on are goin to face ovewhelming power. I"m betting Oda will give the Blackbeard pirates tons of power just to give the Strawhats major challenge and show what they need to overcome and all. It's one of the reasons why I think mera mera no mi could and should go to Blackbeard pirates or to a new member of Strawhat.

Nami with a devil fruit would be so out of character though. It'd be like completely re doing her character. Usopp on the other hand maybe. But he needs to save the lives of those who fall in water.

Robin is in much higher lvl than rebecca to comparing her and rebecca its like you comparing a 30lvl character from a game with a 50lvl character from a game the thing is all the sh are way higher in strenth and skill if rebecca would joined before the skip-time i wouldnt considered her weak because she would be close in power with the others but after the skip-time everyone got stronger and to be honest we dont need rebecca because both zoro and Brook are using swords and they both are in much higher lvl than rebecca.

Rebecca will still be weaker than Robin. Why? Because after the SH go to other islands, BB himself will show up and pay a very special personal visit to our little princess, somehow BB really likes that df and he won't let some random weakling having, hence Rebecca stays weak no matter what happens.

She's even weaker than Robin, her speed doesn't help her at all against Robin. I'm not even sure she can handle Chopper in his monster form either and Franky has laser beams & other exotic weapons inside his body. I think Rebecca level is equivalent to the medium strength members of CP9 at most (excluded the moronic chief).

How do you know Rebecca is weak? She didn't go all out against Luffy in their scuffle, so we don't know the true extent of her strength. I think we'll see just how strong she is in D Block.

How are we? I don't remember any hype or feats from her. I also don't see her getting the fruit either, since she'd still fail to beat Doflamingo. If the crew succeeds in freeing Dressrosa from Doflamingo's rule, then Rebecca will likely stay on the island.

Isn't Sanji one of the best swimmers in the crew? I don't think he would risk his swimming abilities for the sake of gaining new powers.

Sanji's feet becoming fire wouldn't stop another Vergo from crashing his bone again. I will give you a chance to explain why it would help. It's not like his kicks are too weak, but his body has too weak of a defense. But in order to counter that flaw he already has an affinity to CoO and probably having the highest speed value of the Mugiwaras, enabling him to evade those attacks. Some better CoA usage would certainly help.

So rebecca is weak just because bb is behind her? And how come rebecca stays weak even after she has the power bb so dearly wants?

As i said earlier, read my previous post. Rebeccas strenght is probably in her defensive abilities. Hence as others have pointed out, she doesent have wounds all over her body like the other gladiators.

You could have also pointed out Zoro askind Kinemon about his fire technique. There is also this attack: Rengoku Oni Giri (煉獄鬼斬り Rengoku Oni Giri?, literally meaning "Purgatory Demon Slash.

And still no hint at all since he also had Gorilla, Tiger, Twister, Buddha, Dragon, Demon attacks. Would he get any of those zoan fruits too?^^
