Discussion Whose face did Momonosuke see?

So Momonosuke saw a guy who most people (myself included) think is Doflamingo. But there are some who say that it looks like Luffy. Honestly, I don't even... Nevermind.

It also kinda looks like Bon Chan with glasses, but I don't think anyone thinks it could be him, lol.

IMO he's hallucinating out of hunger and Luffy's face turns into Dofla's in his mind. So technically, he saw both.

With the last chapter it's pretty much confirmed that it was Doflamingo.

Well Zehahaha has some valid reasons why he thinks it's not Doflamingo. Honestly, at this moment, the theory which me and some others thought of, that claims that Dofla with the help of CC has managed to input a kind of a programming into zoans seems just a little too much. But I don't have any better explanation.

Momonosuke has told a story.. and it doesnt look like he has met dofla... also the face was shouting the same thing what luffy was shouting which makes me believe it was just a way to show that momonosuke was in great stress and is seeing the distorted version of luffy's face... but yeah..it resembles a lot to dofla's face.. but the solutions or theories told on that part is too much sci fi.. which should not be the case in one piece... But yeah I might be up for a surprise...

The thing is .. if it is Dofla he has seen the same can be expected to be resolved in this arc... but if it was just general hallucination.. people will keep talking about it for next 50-100 chapter and then this moment will just get lost in the other bigger discussion coming..

Too much sci fi? In a manga that has all kinds of weird races, powers, advanced technology like missiles, lasers, cyborgs, human programming, biological warfare, aliens... Yeah, you're right. Putting in aditional instincts in zoan fruits which already posses an animal personality seems way overboard...

Well you could've explained it better in the opening post because the only real qustion was in the Titel. "Whose face did Momonosuke see?" And that way it sounds lke a question about the facts and not to open theories or first thoughts.

Well I'll just repost what I posted in the chapter discussions thread

Just how the hell a kid like Momonosuke would've met Doflamingo ? Considering we've already seen a flashback about him already
Also tell me how the hell someone can control another one via a " Smile " ? We've never ever seen someone appearing like that in someone's mind in OP at all. Also, we've got confirmation that Momonosuke never ate anything from CC, he ate a DF that was made by Vegapunk to begin with... The closest thing we've seen to what happened to Momo was Mocha when she was hallucinating (mistaking one of CC's henchmen for a snake)

So you're asking me to believe that Dofla put something into that DF that makes him appear to anyone ate that, instead of believing that the little child was hungry as fuck, not being able to know what the hell happened to him, being in some island with some fucked up men there, suddenly fainting because of all that stress and hallucinating which made him see Luffy in such a distorted way ?

I'd rather believe he met Dofla before (not in PH), rather than Dofla putting something in the Smile which make him control people, because that's plain ridiculous

So yeah I'm insane then

Can't really be anyone but Doflamingo. Those glasses, that forehead, that hair. Pretty unmistakable. Don't really care how or why Momo would know his face. Maybe CC cosplays as Doflamingo

And it's really interesting because as Zehahaha pointed out Momonosuke never met Dofla before.
So to explain this vision the only solution which looks the more believable to me is that Momo as the ability to see the future! I really think this solution is the one because I think Momo will join the SH!
Why? Because he's a Dragon, and that is fucking awesome! Like others nakama he has a goal to fulfill (find a way to save his father)! And someone says somewhere here that it couldn't be him because he's too weak, but what if is able to see the future ?

i never thought of Momonosuke becaming one of the members of SH, it could happen, i mean luffy doesn't recruit people because they're powerful, luffy recruit people because he thinks they're cool and he saw them as nakama..

Putting up additional instincts that needs food deprivation to show up... yes it does sound too much sci fi even with OP standards ... Animal instincts I can understand ,,, sensing danger before it knocks on door... but to see that danger precisely.. it is the thing of Madam Shirley which is an in born quality and more believable... as such inborn qualities do get activated in extreme body conditions like distress,,anger etc... (talking of OP only) ...
Since the face resembles too much of Doflamingo I would like to believe it to be inborn quality rather than imbued one... And also would not like to pass the possibility of the face to be just the distorted version of luffy...
