Discussion Why do people shit on The Sinner?

I like how people use the “people are impatient” or “people set themselves up for disappointment” excuse.

Because no matter how much they complained about the Sinner at first they were still expecting him to do something cool and kill some main characters because he is a demon and no demons are allowed to suck, effectively forgetting that he had lost half of the DK's magic which consisted of more than half of his power, got separated into two for who knows how long, cursed with slowly dying as a punishment by his boss and was fighting most of the OP characters in the story. So I agree with one poster, they've set themselves up to disappointment.

Usually, when a cool character comes into the story we expect strong feats from him the original demon was an enormous disappointment because
his best feat was beating a weaker escanor but after show quite big effort in order to defeat him that's the only solid thing he did.

If his feat was to be solid and equally to his hype then he should have fought escanor while he was in The one and defeat him in that state that would have been a solid feat decent of his hype.

Another solid feat would had been if he had faced all the group of the sins and hold up his own and perhaps overpower the group at some point.

Or face rueodecel and kill him in 1 vs 1 while rueodecel was at his best another solid feat

Or catching maels greater sun and send it towards the sins that would had be another decent feat

Nakaba could had used maels greater sun and like 3-4 of the sins group coordinate their attacks with maels greater sun and end the sinner
That's another decent way to get rid of the sinner without making him look like a total one-shot useless scrub like did.

Exactly. The sinner shouldve showed more solid feats.

He's still alive though. I expect a final attack with massively increased power due to Crisis soon.
Maybe Chandler's subconsciousness will get mad at the DK and force the Sinner to use his remaining life force to power up an attack which will get effortlessly blocked by the DK.

Its simple people kinda say something shit on a shitty shit. Looking back cussack and chandler got the hype when Zel said both of you are far more than those TC, which's true. Then Chandler did a true night that completely made Escanor useless and Cussack telepathize Arthur stubbing himself to death. Furthermore both of them showed up their demonic shadows when cussack was schooling Arthur. Then we saw their true PL which is insanely strong so on and so forth. Then it heightened their hype again when they merged and became the original demon. But in the end they got swollen up on Mel's omega cruel sun.lmao. Until now theyre nowhere to be found. If the OD is not a huge dissapointment I dont know what is

The answer had been said, and it's simple: He gets a big hype because he's supposedly invincible (gets presented as such) and he litteraly gets wiped out a few chapters later
