If the D really is the half moon, then the other half of the moon is a dark D. I don't think BB comes from a long line of traitors (lol), but I do think it's related to this difference in values people had at the time caused a schism in whatever the original clan/group/organization/crew was. The distinction between what the D meant was lost over time, as all of them were enemies of the nascent WG either way and that knowledge was wiped out.

Saw elsewhere on youtube that Luffy might be able to Domi Liberati people aka a reversal of domi reversi. The theory is based on the board game and states that Luffy would need another "nika" to do it and conveniently, Bonnie is here. This technique would not only save the demonized people, it would give a complete 180, turning them from an enslaved dark demonic creature to a "white" version of themselves with freedom as the main driver. I want to stress that I am not the originator of this theory let me see if I can find it for you guys.

Getting in one more before the new year:

"Conqueror's haki" is a misnomer and its sole association with "conquerors/kings" and "intimidation" or whatever is part of the Void Century propaganda. It's going to be a Gum Gum = Nika level of reveal, but I'm not sure entirely what "conqueror's haki" actually will be. I think it has a LOT to do with communication though, seeing as Imu/Gorosei seem to be using some application of voice they have a monopoly on (aside from Luffy that one time (and Zunesha/Momo I suppose))

Because they're MUTANTS. If they were born in a different era, people like Whitebeard and Big Mom would be mythologically venerated as progenitors of some legendary race of blah blah blah.
