I KNEW Doumeki still had the egg! At least I suspected... but having it confirmed is like, whoah.
And and and... man, Watanuki's so powerful, able to "go" somewhere in dreams.
And and and... she could see him! O_O
My intrigue grows by leaps and bounds with this story! I'll be even more impatient for the next chapter!
(And did the blurb in the corner say the new OAD will be out February 8th? That'd be friggin sweet, not much longer if that's the case)

that devastated girl in the last page, she's a new character, right? i haven't read xxxholic for a while and i forgot some of the supporting characters and all characters almost looked alike for me at this point... sheeesh! i hate it when i have to wait for manga chapters...
but great chapter! Watanuki can enter dreams! great! but i don't like cliffhangers if i have to wait for week!

Hmm... something odd about this building, even Doumeki looks not all comfortable. Would the time to reveal the secret of the egg finally come?
Last time, Yuuko used the "red" baseball bat as "Zantetsuken" to help the housewife (on the 1st floor?) with net addiction. This time, the spider woman wants Watanuki to find the "crimson" pearl and lead him to the top floor. The woman who can "see" Watanuki... dead person?

Whoah... I can't believe she can totally know he's there! But now she'll have seen him just disappear or something too! But yeah, when you get all emotional in a dream it can wake you up. Poor Watanuki-kuuuuun! That'd be so frustrating!
I don't get what the lady was saying though, about the pain and "trying to tell them" and stuff... Dunno if it was just that vague or what...
But then...
Awwww... *squeeee!* I'm all happy cuz Himawari-chan has been keeping in touch with all of them after all! And she still makes Watanuki-kun smile.
I mean look at him! He doesn't smile like that for anybody else. It's that special Himawari-smile! X3 That's why I like her; she makes our Wata-chan so happyyyy!
How little has changed between them after all. Even his pouting when she mentions how well he n Doumeki get along, hehehe! I love it. It's so reassuring to see how all three of them get along just the same, even when their circumstances have changed so drastically.

It's just that injured girl in Wata's dream... she looks like someone who might bring them in trouble or maybe the one who could help regarding the crimson pearl...

I couldn't think of the reason that Watanuki would be so bothered by the last words on the page... but... if something might be wrong with her that would be a possible reason for the layout not showing her, AND for his concern...

xxxHolic and TRC Crossovers in Kobato Anime
OMG, I had a proper fan girl moment just now! Watanuki is in Kobato episode 17!! Only for a small bit, but it was still great to see. There were loads of links to Holic in it. Doumeki's Temple and Mokona Land!

and also Himawari's nature against the shop...
There might be some other reason why only on Watanuki's birthday she could come except for the fact that its Wata's special day...

There was so much I got excited about... It's still suspicious that they didn't show Himawari-chan even during her little love confession.... but it was a LOVE CONFESSION!!!! It was so adorable!!!! X33333333
I danced around the apartment, hehehe. I haven't exactly been a shipper of the couple, but I always acknowledged how Himawari-chan made Watanuki-kun so darn happy, so seeing his sentiment returned is super special awesome for him. ^___^
But yeah, simultaneously so sad how they're separated, and can only be in touch so briefly. So beautiful and tragic at the same time...
I was surprised in a grimly pleasant way when Watanuki was able to re-visit the lady in the run-down apartment; he'd worried before that once he left he might not be able to return. Whether that meant return to his body, or return to that place, I'm not sure, but at least he's there for another round.
Unusually abrupt stopping though; an almost whiplash of a cliffhanger.
