Folks,

I think... Kohane's mother now becomes the focus of the audience as Kohane will let the truth to be told: Why and what she has treated Kohane all these years... Is it the same story she has told a few chapters back (i.e. since the father has left, she must move on and prove everyone they can survive because of the "gifted" Kohane) or is it the first-hand experience of Kohane being the factual account (i.e. her mother has gone to the extreme - even if it means to hurt / change themselves - to keep Kohane in the "showbiz")?

But, I have a rather odd feeling with Watanuki and Domeki in this arc... Is the whole thing what Watanuki "wishes" Kohane will settle with her mother, in another word, this is another "dream"?

I think the other medium fat and ugly lady is quite exaggerative, if she's a real medium, she must has had noticed Kohane's ability as a medium.. She's been accusing Kohane of lying because of her own lack of skill, and the folks believe her just because she's an adult. oh well...

I do not believe the age in this situation has a lot to do with the creditability. In our society, there is no surprise that we tend to side with the majority on many things. If minority speaks up with the truth, it may not be heard or well accepted by others. If Kohane had been consistently sided with other medium in the past, I am pretty sure she and her mother will be in a totally different situation.

In fact, I believe young people like Kohane in such TV shows should get even more attention / ratings. The older lady - whether she has got the real, strong psychic power or not - is simply telling things which could be easily "open for interpretations" by anyone... in other words, it is so vague that it would not be absolutely wrong or right. Take this case, for example, the missing husband could be still "alive" in another dimension, which to some: "he's in heaven!" She has right about one thing about him: "he'd never come back!", dead or alive.

So it will becomes something many people want to hear / listen! This is quite in line with one of the recurring theme that many of us often wanna lying to ourselves, to compromise or pretend everything will be fine as status-quo.

yep I know what you're speaking about, it's similar to the so-called 'fake'fortune teller's predictions (the one Watanuki first met). open for interpretations but lacking in responsibility.
But I think there might be a turning point in this story, because the woman's look changed when Kohane repeated her point.. perhaps she'll believe Kohane, i'm just guessing though.

i KNOW what ur talking about this all being a dream. It might be i think reality and the dream world of watanuki is mixed so he can exist cause what he did for syaoran the wish and what fwr has done to the worlds had to mess up his world up since we found out that Watanuki give up his memories and i'm guessing something else cause it doesn't fit right.

Its getting hard to tell whats real anymore. But the good thing so far is that we all know Watanuki is human. Yuko keeps saying there are two futures to be saved one of them has to be Watanuki's cause he musted have done alot and sacrificed alot of stuff which they haven't shown yet.

It seems Watanuki was a major player in one of the people who helped Syaoaran and co to make there journey. I wonder when will Clamp will give some justice and tell us so info on Watanuki and who Yuko really is.

This whole thing with Kohane has had me on the edge of my seat for weeks (I haven't even gotten up out of it, it's that tense!). I'm thinking we'll find out some stuff about what's going on with Watanuki next chapter, he can't just come in like that without some sort of reaction from audience members and people around him that won't point us in the right direction.

The mother finally got what she deserved. Hopefully Konoha will be able to live a 'normal' girls live more or less from now on, maybe the family court (if people would trial the mother) will send her to her father..
I'm eager to see Yuuko in the next chapters, too. Her injuries in TRC might have some impact to Holic I guess.

I still worry slightly, I get the feeling the mother might try to hurt Watanuki again next chapter if he tries to help Kohane. I don't think Yuuko will be in it right away though if they're in the middle of the Kohane story but no doubt it should have some impact on Holic.

Her injuries in TRC might have some impact to Holic I guess.

Maybe her injuries might cause the dimension where the shop is to become slightly unstable, and Watanuki has to go and try to stablize it again??
