I'm sure she'll be meeting with several of the Wano people as she travels around. Given how she's Kaido's child, I suspect there may possibly be quite a bit of conflict there.

i expect Yamato to find out the reason about the people who broke the island's rule and left the island in the past (people like quina's grandfather among others). It must be something not as trivial as "being simply curious about who else live out there".

Unless of course Yamato starts planning on being daimyo of Kuri, since Oden was daimyo of Kuri. lol

no I mean, think about it though. yamato isn't talking about wanting to be daimyo, even though oden was daimyo, as well as shogun.

actually not supposing anything here, i tried to imagine yamato as a nakama and came up with this conclusion, daimyo or not, yamato, is more an ally than nakama, and, will show up in the final war(s), (if Oda wants to make it happen of course). By the way, the word nakama is a bit deprecated, in the context of grand fleet. as long as yamato (or any SH friend) is ready to help for the upcoming war, it is fine to not having him permanently on the sunny. (ended up with nakama as synonym of ally here...) , that is why i picked "no" in the poll

So, what were people saying about how Yamato wouldn't run into any problems in Wano for being Kaido's child

I don't think momo would care all that much. Even if he does, if yamata takes responsibility for them then odds are he would go along with it. It's also worth noting that yamato just solved the mystery of disappearing folk in wano, defeated the perpetrator and both page one and ulti were victims. I suppose what oda is going for here is further indulging yamato's lunacy in her path to become "oden" and having her grab a bunch of unforgivable criminals and turning them into respectable folk. Kaido's forces numbered in the 10s of thousands, her taking them and putting them to work to rebuild wano seems like too obvious a path. That while taking her pick of kaido's followers as her own retainers of course.

Wano seems well on the verge of being rebuilt already, but I could see Page One and Ulti serving Momo for when Yamato leaves.

I also figure Yamato is actually becoming her own character more than becoming Oden, since she stayed rather than sailing right away like Oden did.

Rebuilding in OP usually seems to happen pretty quickly. Though I still think kaido's forces in wano are a problem that needs addressing. 10s of thousands of soldiers, surviving tobiropo and headliners... Both queen and king were left alive as well.

The framing in the story was that yamato's journey through wano mirrored oden's own travels through the country. And incidentally, it was during oden's travels that he collected the scabbards.

Exactly, so sooner or later, the fates of all the Beasts Pirates on Wano are going to be eventually addressed into following Momo, the rightful shogun of Wano. Momo will have a bigger army to support him and maybe even train him into becoming a capable force himself while Yamato can happily go off sailing without worry. It's going to be great.

If it's a direct parallel, Yamato will force his way onto an Emperor's boat, and there'll be one tagger-along from among his followers. Obviously the funniest would be a Cross Guild pirate- Yamato hanging onto Mihawk's tiny boat with a chain is a very funny image. I figure it'd be Ulti following him around after the last few cover chapters, and it'd be extra hilarious if after finally getting rid of Perona, Mihawk is saddled with another couch-surfing brat with basically the same tsundere personality.

Would be interesting of a development for Yamato to follow Cross Guild because Buggy was friends with Oden. She'd prob be conflicted on how to treat him since she looks up to Oden so much, and then gradually develop into her own character treating Buggy as he should regardless of the Oden friendship.

Hmm, yamato joining the cross guild would solve the crew's apparent manpower problem. In the sense that they don't seem to have executives. Of course, from an outside world perspective the crew looks monstrous with buggy and mihawk at the helm and crocodile as the brain even without executives. But they need to have real muscle to properly function IMO. And yamato would come with at least ulti and page one who aren't by any stretch a poor addition to any crew. They could even recruit the rest of kaido's forces if they make their way to wano... I wonder if perhaps it'll be the crossguild that ends up recruiting the renmants of kaido's and big mom's crew. We never learned what happened to smoothie and co. Conventionally that would make them almost too strong but on the other hand the power scaling in the series has gone out the window. Shank's crew might have at least 2 yonko level fighters and maybe even more in the king/katakuri+ range. Blackbeard at least for now has kuzan. The strawhats are being built up to have 2 yonko level fighters, maybe 3, though they do have the issue that their bottom executives do not carry their weight (ussop, chopper and situationally nami). Meanwhile the WG just sharted out god knights and for all we know they are all yonko level fighters while still having admirals and the gorosei.
