Elfman and Evergreen were able to dodge his death curse and they are fodder for the BDSK. That's all I have to say.

Zeref was absolutely not serious against Ultear. Why do you forget Zeref's feats against DF Natsu, who is light years more powerful than any BDSK?

Makarov was fodder to Alvarez of course he can't do anything against him. Yes FH Zeref shot DF Natsu but that's because he had Fairy Heart. I said Fairy Heart Zeref solo BDSK no doubt about that. But Base Natsu could match Base Zeref in combat and apparently Base Natsu is still too weak according to the author to the point that Gray and Gajeel are his rivals.

Zeref was actually serious with Ultear, he was angry but despite his immortality and regeneration he got knocked out and unconscious for several episodes by her.

Elfman and Evergreen were able to dodge his death curse and they are fodder for the BDSK. That's all I have to say.

Remember, even Natsu could not dodge it and he was better than either of them, and they could not dodge without Natsu's aid or giving them for warning

EDIT: I thought it was nerfed Zeref, nevermind, Zeref wouldn't need Death Curse to handle them, he takes this relatively easily, with Ultear he valued life which weakened him severely.

Zeref with a singke eye flick was able to push back DF Natsu's frontal assault and Zeref was able to fight against Igneel Natsu evenly while holding back. Zeref absolutely fodders.
