There is a theory that Zoro may repeat what Oden once did - defeat Ashura Douji in a duel and with that win Shutenmaru over for the cause of defeating Kaido and Orochi.
Picking this line specifically, because I think Ashura Douji will join only if Momonosuke beats him. Now yes, Momo is too young but wasnt Oden a child as well when he beat Ashura? Maybe it wont be a full on fight but it'll have to be Momo. Even if Zoro beats him, he wouldnt join unless Momo makes him.

Zoro is more likely to face the flying six before he faces all stars. I agree fighting king may require team work, but Oda will show some amount of a power up or advantage for King as well if that happens.
I think Zoro vs Hawkins is also possible, since we saw him struggle already.

No matter how hard I try I cant see this happening. :XD
Unless Shinobu's powers are maturing indeed, instead of rotting, and it can be used on humans, which would make it extremely dangerous ability if it were in hands of bad people if there are no limits to it.

Would be interesting to see Momo becoming an adult somehow and beeing strong enough to beat Shutenmaru, but I'd rather have him stay a kid and impress with his incredible will and have the likes of Kaido, Zoro and Shutenmaru amazed.

His power to hear the voice of all things will surely come to play a role during wano too for sure.

Been thinking about something...
There is a theory that Blackbeard is 3 persons in one and that he will eventually have the 3rd DF as well...
Now, who else has been shown as 3 persons from time to time? That's right, our majestic Zoro-senpai.

I wonder if it could end up with Zoro taking on Blackbeard at the end instead of Luffy. :hmm
I know what Y'all are gonna say, he is Luffy's opponent, he owes him for Ace, this and that...
All valid reasons but not necessarily the truth IF at the same time Luffy fights someone else, who deserves the ass beating more than Blackbeard. You guessed it, the magma boi.

Besides, with the Darkness logia in Blackbeard's possession, Luffy would be at a huge disadvantage and all his power-ups would be nullified except Haki techniques which he can use in his normal form while on the other hand, it wouldn't weaken Doro-tenpai one bit. :toc
That's all Zoro hype I have for today.

Its not a fight. It could be a challenge. Like manage to make me use my second hand, or stand up after i attack you. I am not talking through physical strength, but rather through determination.
We dont know what traits of his father impressed ashura douji. One could be strength but the others could be personality related. I cannot see him joining without seeing Momonosuke show any traits of Oden. He has to feel Momo is a worthy leader and those traits of Oden is what i am expecting to see.

ow, who else has been shown as 3 persons from time to time? That's right, our majestic Zoro-senpai.
Smooooooooth

. But yea, 3 is the most common number for themes in OP. 3 deadly weapons, 3 types of DF abilities, 3 admirals etc....

I always thought he already had a DF before getting yami yami no mi.. That was coming from when whitebeard said"you rely too much on your ability and that is your weakpoint"...
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

But just read the official translation on Viz, which says:
Overconfidence and Carelessness, those are your weakness. So as far as we know only 2.

Regarding Zoro facing him, it depends on what his 3rd DF ability could be. But nevertheless, he is based on the most notorious real life pirate and that alone makes him the real villain of the series. Unless there is a bigger villain than him, i dont see Zoro facing Blackbeard.

Random thought...
Zoro asked Luffy twice to give him the cursed sword Kitetsu of the second generation to have a look at it.
Zoro is usually clueless and has no idea which swords are of which grade nor any other information. However, here, he picked an interest in the sword that Luffy was carrying. He probably was feeling or at least doubting that it might be cursed.

Despite asking twice to see it, Oda chose the option that Luffy doesn't give him the sword. Why? What will happen when he touches another cursed sword? Will the possession of two cursed swords be too much to bear and end up with an escalation with curse consuming Zoro and possibly attack blindly without distinguishing friend from foe?

Also, we no longer know where that sword is after Luffy got spanked. Maybe it's plot convenience so that no friends are around when he finds it and takes it into his hands... :hmm

I think Zoro simply has a fascination with interesting swords and the sword Luffy had just caught his attention.

I don't think having another cursed sword will do anything to Zoro other than make him horny that he has another dangerous and rare sword in his collection.

Yeah, his swords don't change his fighting much. I mean, when he got Shusui his flying slash attacks got stronger, but they don't change his style or anything (which is good, he's a swordsman!) But i do think he'll replace his one cursed sword eventually, not sure if this is the one, or if that guy who gave it to Luffy will make him a special sword. That would actually be more interesting to me.

Have to disagree as the swords are important and strong blades. They aren't just regular swords as Oda wouldn't put much emphasize on them and make a sword system on what 'Grade' they are. Zoro having and using them prove how he is able to overcome them through their curse so far and use his own skill to be one with the equipment/weaponry. So wouldn't toss them off just "blades" as they have importance.

Zoro could just collect them and even switch them out as he wants, but I don't think he'll replace his swords.

My point is, why emphasize the curse of Kitetsu swords if nothing will ever happen... It makes no sense.

That's why he probably will lose a fight to break non-curse sword (Not Kuina one), so he gains the other one. So this arc will be harsh on him looking at things so far. Don't think Zoro would give up swords he work hard on claiming too.

Gotta hype up the swords, I guess, and that's one way to do it. The swords could have had a bad history that led to its users dying, which in turn led to people thinking it was cursed.

Harsh how?

You think the curse will finally take affect one lead Zoro to a terrible outcome? Obviously he won't die, but be defeated in a fight or something that lead him near-death state? Maybe similar to when he face Mihawk, but much deadlier. Though of course he will survive after being treated by someone (possibly one of the nine scabbards) and get redemption in gaining a new sword and rematch with that person who defeated him?

Zoro getting defeated to near-death state means Zoro is out of combat for a long time... It literally took several arcs for Zoro to recover from Mihawk and Thriller Bark. How do you get to the conclusion that he would be able to have a rematch after such defeat? Is there some miraculous healing treatment we are not aware of or what's the logic behind those guesses?
Near-death state injuries can only happen in the final battle of the arc when no rematch is pending and under the assumption that the next arc won't require fresh Zoro going all out.

Nah, not really (in Moe's voice) Zoro is not the type of guy to lose his composure very easily, he stares at death right in the eye that's the reason why his cursed swords choosed him.
So of course he will struggle but he will come out on top in the end, by his own strenght and won't ever need "redemption" unlike other characters.

Wow, you can feel the 'triggered' in the post if your choosing to mock my voice over an opinion lol xD? Learn to respect opinions as mine was just that. Idk what Oda has in store for Zoro side, but if it means he gain a new sword, he would have to get one of his destroyed for it as been shown in many times on why he gets a new sword. Also who to say Oda won't make that play a role with the curse as the curse seem to activate when in long-term use for awhile for other wielders, so it can eventuality get to him. He definitely looking for a redemption as so far he is the only Strawhat not doing anything and instead Oda has him in an adventure around Wano while others are doing work. Meaning instead of fighting (At least for now), he be working on his character and do something to make him feel like before in pre-timeskip.

I said he be near-death, but doesn't mean he won't make comeback which seems like it going to head into. Your free to think what you like, but there is a reason Zoro is doing nothing for awhile instead being in action by Oda's writing, so he is planning him to get his redemption like many of the Strawhats. Don't feel zero-minded about the idea as it's not impossible to think of it :hi.

Not really, just someone much stronger than he anticipated. Just because he was trained by Mihawk doesn't mean Zoro achieve being at his lvl. He still need to get stronger on his own as I doubt Mihawk taught him ALL (Emphasizing) his ways how he got stronger. That's like saying Luffy is at Rayleigh lvl due to being trained by him, when we know he has ways to go to reach that point and surpassed him too.

Oda is unpredictable, so it wouldn't surprise me if there is a 'healer' who can heal him up from such a state and it's not impossible as look at Luffy vs Crocodile since Luffy was near-death state, but still came back stronger in the end. I don't get why you see it farfetched when Oda make the impossible, possible. Even him getting hurt like that, he be able to make it to the final fight back if heal up right. We seen characters heal up in a few days to fighting back in the next no problem. Just saying if you think Zoro will 'breeze' through without getting a struggle, then you don't know Oda as if Hawkins is proof enough, he will face struggles with his opponents later on.

Why are you comparing Zoro to Mihawk here? Nobody asked for that. I will ignore this paragraph as it doesn't answer the questions I asked you about.

Oda is unpredictable but he only has pulled off miraculous healing with rubber man and with Ivankovs help. Zoro isnt a rubber man nor is Ivankov present so you still have to provide anything supporting miraculous recovery on Zoro, who btw, has been consistent with recovery time.
If you think Zoro will be defeated to a near-death state and have a rematch within few days of the same arc I think you are grasping at straws here and if you think that Hawkins is proof for anything that you claim you are grasping at more straws again, same like you do with your argument that Sanji is dominating fight with P1.

There is absolutely nothing backing your claims so how did you reach the conclusion that Zoro will be wrecked and have a rematch?

Your the one who mention Mihawk in the first place, so you tell me. Also you can't say you 'ignore' it after just answering it as you counter yourself.

That's why I said could be one of the Nine Scabbard that could heal him up if they have special powers or herbs that can bring Zoro back to strength in time for the festival. Again my idea is a theory, your free to not agree or not. Though just go with it based on the pattern I seen Oda on how he might write for Zoro and for him to get a moment later on as well from M3J. Though, don't rule out possibilities, just saying. How grasping at straws? You think Zoro won't struggle with anyone after he shown with Hawkins? Your the only one thinking he will not from how I seen your posts. You got to get with that he won't breeze through others just because we haven't seen his 100% either. He will struggle and it won't be farfetched of near-death state as you never know?

Why you bringing in Sanji vs Page One? This is about Zoro. Now your trying to get off topic again like usual. Keep it within Zoro talk or your just proving your dodging what we are talking about here. Actually there is as you look at the patterns how Zoro gain a new sword which require one of his previous one destroyed and also he isn't fighting right now and instead on a journey in Wano. A lot of things giving hints on Zoro where he can go. I am not saying this as fact, but just possible routes. Idk where you get the idea that I said all of this is going to happen as I am not sure. Though if Zoro does get a new sword, it would require one of his swords broken and that's a fact as we seen.

You got learn to read back on character instead of saying 'not proof enough' like you said to others. Be more open-minded instead of wanting Zoro as a 'perfect being' when he isn't.

I don't think there is a curse to "activate". Zoro isn't affected by the curse, and that's why he can use the sword where other people died. I really think that's all there is to it.
