I agree with you that it doesn't make sense for any of the monster trio to be 1 shot... unless Baka Luffy challenges Kaido :teehee:teehee:teehee

Not even Doflamingo could 1 shot Sanji and resorted to using Parasite due to having acknowledged Sanji's strength.

As I said above, this was purely plot.

Manga fans have a way of dissecting a manga they love until there is nothing left of it lol.

In my honest opinion, Zoro 1 shot the Manslayer(I'm counting his 3 blades as 1) while being 1 shot himself.

What I consider a 1 shot = 1 attack that physically makes contact with a person and then that person faints/dies/incapacitated.

How many shots did it take for Zoro to fall?
We know by Zoro's own admission of naivety that he was heavily injured and he would have passed out whether the Manslayer fell or not. And like I said, if the girls weren't there, Zoro would have bleed out

I know your trolling but Zoro would never be able to tank hours of Katakuri pummeling him lol. At least not at this point in the manga

:drmke:drmke:drmke
Maybe not but also no need for it. Just enough beating/injuries to push Zoro into Asura to end it, even in a draw.
They both get up shortly after and say: not bad for a vice-captain. Likewise. :hip

Plot armor always keeps em awake until threat is gone so if Manslayer wasnt finished Zoro wouldn't collapse.
Also, I doubt he would bleed out. On TB he basically had no blood left at all and was conscious.
This was very unlike Zoro. Damn toad oil. :teehee

Your not Oda so you cant possibly know that lol

But back at TB Zoro also retained concious the entire time, even after all the damage... This time he passed out due to the blood loss here so that's how it must be discussed, without injecting our own headcannon into it. And his stomach also growled before he fainted so it was probably a combo of Blood loss and hunger?

HP also explained how devastating this particular injury actually was. 1 of the worst clean blade piercings in the entire manga

Idk why Zoro fans(not you nik/m3j) are upset with this honestly when Zoro eventually defeats King/Orochi they will have maximum bragging rights to how Zoro, despite injury, is even more of a beast than originally thought.

But did he fall after Manslayer's first strike or did Manslayer attack again and again? Luffy's punch to Bellamy is what I'd consider one-shot, it took Luffy one attack to take down Bellamy right off the bat. If Bellamy defended the first blow or dodged it, then I likely wouldn't consider that a one-shot. Same here.

As I have said before, I have no idea as we usually see Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro go down only when they've ensured victory and safety, the most recent example being Luffy after he beat Katakuri.

True I am no Oda but do we really dont know? Look back, the pattern is the same. Have they ever lost consciousness while their arc's main opponent was still up and presented a danger for those close by?
Why did Zoro faint in the first place? He has shown nothing that indicated such an outcome. Smells a lot plot element-ish.
Just a panel before he was strong enough to flex so hard that a famous assassin couldnt pull his weapon out. One panel with sfx Huff Huff and in the next panel Zoro sleeps. :teehee
The entire scene is weird. Gyukimaru turns his back to him and just leaves, while he couldnt wait to get on with their duel and was trying to cheap shot him. He picks up Kamazou's weapon which was sliced in half the previous chapter and now is whole...
Either Oda is losing it or there are some other powers at work here. :toc

Not upset that Zoro fainted, it is simply very unlike Zoro. Was he hungry? Possibly but he wasnt starving that we can use that as a reason. Was he eating poisoned stuff and drank poisoned water? Sure, still not a reason to faint. Was the wound serious and did he lose some blood? Sure, still no reason to faint. The bloodloss on TB is incomparable to this. He went from being fine to fainting, whatever the reason. When the wounds are serious they are usually without consciousness for several days while here he's back up within the same day...

It is the damn toad oil, I am telling you. In it's presence even demons faint. :toc

I missed this, nice sighting. Jaimini says his "Dizzy" while Mangastream makes it out to be his stomach growling. That would make a lot more sense if there's a tinge of hunger in the mix.

After this chapter, I don't anyone will see Zoro taking on Katakuri if he can't handle same durability as Luffy when he was pierce. Especially those Katakuri fans on the other sites are now downplaying him badly on even trying to face him when it was stack against him already.
You seem to be having fun with all the bashing 😅

I always said that Katakuri would wreck both Zoro and sanji.
I remember someone arguing with me about it.

Now the setup is clear for the power ups:

Luffy: all kind of haki specialist
Zoro: Blackblades and haki
Sanji: Raid suit and pervyness

But in my opinion it would be a stretch to have Zoro and even moreso Sanji beat top commander and commander 2 or 3 one on one in 9 days at the festival, it makes very little sense to me.

If Kamazou can cut zoro so deeply and make him faint in one hit, then it would make no sense for him to suddenly be able to fight king second to kaido himself 1v1... and don't even get me started on Sanji

Unless we get a toki toki hyperbolic time chamber.

If he lost due to minor stomach or hunger, that's make him look worse. Shows he not durable still as Luffy fought in WCI with many fighters when he didn't eat until Sanji's cooking. That be horrible to his character more as he should have more stamina than that on not needing something to eat before fighting.

Oda admits it's his own fault so not really no use saying it was something else. He would have Zoro said what contributed about it or heavily implied it. So far its just him 'lacking' lately.

Afro I know your upset about Zoro's situation, but don't drag Sanji in this cause unlike Zoro he actually doing work and defeated high-tier opponent easily and without injury.

Idk about that since he easily defeated a T6H that are closer to YC lvl, Beast Pirates are heavily implied more dangerous than Big Mom Pirates on higher bounties especially their YCs, Sanji easily dodges Katakuri's attack when he saw the future, then Sanji has more chances than Zoro fighting him in better condition.

Final fight pointing towards Sanji vs Queen or King, Zoro looks to be for Orochi especially now meeting Hiyori and can't leave his side after this ;).

I have 3 questions for you.

  1. How do you know how strong both Kamazo and Page the savage are we saw the likes of Shutenmaru slice Jack like butter why do you assume that kamazo would be any different?
  2. Do you know the gap in power between top headliners and all stars, cause it could be as big as between YC1 and Yonkou?
  3. Are you implying that Sanji would beat Katakuri?

I just feel like it was weird that Oda went out of his way to make Zoro's stomach growl and that there must be a reason. I'm not trying to make excuses for Zoro.

It looks bad in any situation:
The 1 we were presented
If Zoro was hungry
If we learn later that blade was poisoned

But I'm just trying to evaluate all the reasons why something so unfamiliar to us (Zoro passing out from 1 hit) happened.

My 2 theories are that we learn the blade was poisoned or that it was a combo of him hungry/seriously wounded.

Like you, I dont think it is a big deal, BUT whether it's a plot element or not this is a feat that will be used to evaluate Zoro further until his next fight.

Either way, whatever which reason, all sides would look stupid especially if he falls from hunger and poison when his stamina should be more than that as again we seen him fighting more in pre-timeskip to far longer than this, but now he goes down after one serious hit? Regardless, nothing will save Zoro or his fanbase for this as many are losing faith and hype for him now. If he does fight a serious opponent as final fight, Orochi looking to be in his future now more than ever after this latest chapter.

1. If he was at T6H or above, he wouldn't go down in one hit. Headliners usually get K.O. easily and since he got taken in one hit, nothing says he is above them at all especially stronger or as strong as Drake or Hawkins as those guys aren't 1-Hit K.O. material either, so nothing points he is strong or stronger than them. Until something says otherwise, he is like a fodder as those Headliners who get one-shot easily. Also are you really comparing to Jack and Shutenmaru lvl? Lol, I can't take you serious as at least those two didn't go down in one hit after hitting each other XD.

2. Kinda same as BMP as the T6H are at same lvl as Perospero, Daifuku, Oven, etc. with their ranking being closest to Calamity. Unless there is another group in-between them, it's highly likely T6H are the in-between to Calamity and regular Headliners. You also don't know the gap either, so why your suggesting you have a idea of a huge difference is compare to YC to Yonko? That's more your theory than fact end of the day.

3. Hmmmm....Depends as of right now, I need to see more Sanji's feats in the arc, but if it's him facing YC, then more possibility he could face people like Katakuri and even defeat him. Plus since both are COO specialists, it be who can out predict who since Sanji did outpredict him on his future sight when he try to kill him and have the power to back it up if we take Page One being defeated easily too. Meaning YC will be a challenge for him if guys like that can give him struggle at all.

Not trying to make excuses for Zoro either but Oda didnt explain the situation. Unless Zoro's tankiness got weaker during time skip this makes no sense and we know that that is not the reason.
The 1 we presented, he passed out from a wound which shouldnt be underestimated but so serious to make Zoro faint out of the blue? I dont buy it. He had his chest sliced up during Baratie and the same day(?) he fought Hatchan and Arlong and he didnt pass out. Even Arlong asked how can he be alive with such wound, not to mention fighting in such state. Zoro's tankiness always defied logic and now we have this. It's not big deal since it didnt affect any fight or anything but why do it in the first place when it is so out of character?

Zoro may have been hungry but it has been established since chapter 3 that he can starve longer than Luffy can and still fight without issue.
The food he ate was poisonous but we saw that the 2 major Baka's among SHs shrug it off like it's nothing while people can die from it.

I don't think the blade was poisoned. I thought about that option at first but then I remembered that Hiyori was wounded(by the same weapon?) and she didn't pass out.

If he was at T6H or above, he wouldn't go down in one hit.
All Zoro's opponent go down in one hit so this means nothing. Also, Zoro never compliments the strength of a fodder so Kamazou isnt fodder.

How can you be wrong about so many things with just one post? :toc This post basically sums up all the things about your poor understanding of how things really are and you come and say that Sanji fans(meaning yourself) use facts... You are not aware of how wrong you are, that's your main problem.

Stop biting bait guys. Every absurd statement doesn't have to be challenged..leave it there, like a stranded person on the side of the road.

Betcha Zoro won't change much from the relationship and won't want it.

I wonder if Zoro will go after Orochi's head next chapter and Kyoshiro will cheap shot him out of nowhere. :hmm
If the death theory is about to happen, that's one way to go or he will get seriously injured. However, considering that main battle part of the arc is approaching I wonder if Zoro can allow himself serious injuries and there is already the one from Kamazou.
I hope Oda doesn't plan to nerf Zoro so he can justify him struggling only because of injuries obtained before the final showdown.

I still want to see Orochi surprise everyone and suddenly just decapitate Zoro to the utter incomprehension of everybody. Only for Hiyori to somehow revive him as she herself was revived. Toki-Toki no mi, I'm tell'en yah!

Or perhaps some kind of underhanded slash from Kyoushiro. He looks like the kind of guy to just slink in the background and then suddenly spring a trap of some sort.

The most likely scenario is, though, that Hawkins has voodooed Zoro. Zoro himself with be his own demise, slashing Hawkins with a fatal blow, and then receiving it himself. Honestly, there shouldn't be any inhibition stopping Hawkins from doing this... he should be able to voodoo any character, and just wait for them to deliver a fatal blow to him. So long as nobody understands how it works exactly, he's the perfect weapon that even Law would have trouble beating. He did get blood from Zoro, after all.
