Imo mihawk-buggy was just a gag scene
Haki should be able to damage buggy
When u cut a logia, they also naturally get splitted like buggy does, so if haki cuts logia the same thing should happen to buggy

Sure it splits, but in the end... it doesnt really mattter (i had to fall to lose it all). As long the hakiinfused blades loses contact, their abilities are there again in my opinion. So if you let the blade stuck in buggy he gets hurt but just a normal slash through him... nah it would hurt but thats it.

That if you cut Buggys arm off with haki it doesnt matter. The moment his body isnt made "normal" with haki his abilities coming back and he can reattach it. But if you let your hakisword in him, he has no abilities.

No it doesnt work that way, if you cut it off with haki it will stay cut, if it worked that way then Aokiji would still have his leg

Nah, the situation and context is different when it comes to logia and buggy. Logia users generally have bodies that become intangible. Haki allows you to overcome that intangibility and come in contact with the substance of that body thus you are able to cut it normally. Buggy in turn has the specific ability to split his body. Haki allows you to come in contact with the substance of something but it doesn't allow you to cancel out abilities. But when it comes to buggy the substance of the body isn't an issue, that is always accessible. Buggy has an ability where the actual substance of his body has the ability to get chopped... Which is different from logias who hide the substance of their bodies behind intangibility.

I can't stress this enough, haki simply doesn't cancel or impede devil fruit abilities. The only things that negate haki within the story are kairoseki and BB's devil fruit.

I see no reason to believe Buggy would be affected the way Aokiji would be. Their fruits work differently.

Gold Roger being a Swordsman has no connection to Zoro being Yonko Tier.

Mihawk is Yonko tier so when Zoro beats him he will be Yonko tier. Roger is not who Zoro is trying to surpass, it is Mihawk.

Edit: Zoro doesnt even have to beat Mihawk to be Yonko tier. Once he fighters Mihawk evenly he will be Yonko tier. If he beats Mihawk he would be a step above

:verily

Beating King is the least what I expect from Zoro and his all-out lvl with possible TS and Wano power-ups is still beyond our imagination.

Lol yes and we havent even gotten to the part where zoro improved his haki.

Mihawk was probably crying in joy when he wasnt shichibukai anymore coz that means he isnt obliged to fight zoro (coz we know shp is going to challenge world government to a war in the future) anymore.
"Y-yeah its not like i was scared. Its just that i no longer have to serve the marine anymore so i dont see why i have to do that. P-perona lets get some rice ball again in case zoro returned back!"

That's... a good point. I don't think that literally happened of course but the fact is that without mihawk being a shichibukai then the series has lost its most obvious plot device to force zoro and mihawk to fight, in spite of it being of the the series longest standing plot points and one sided rivalries. For them to fight for reasons other than to merely test their abilities while more important stuff is going on.... mihawk would have to join a pirate crew that is an enemy to the strawhats. Which at the moment would appear to be the yonko.... maybe mihawk joins shanks and shanks will end up an enemy to luffy? Shanks so far has acted in order to stop what he sees as pointless war and conflict.... So perhaps it is not too strange that he would end up at odds with luffy who has pranced around the new world picking fights with the yonko.

That's weird scenario for me. Mihawk is not a good fit for that crew at all lol. It's not impossible of course but if shanks has an established friendship with mihawks then this alliance makes more sense than the alternatives.

I mean, shanks is like 99,99% will be on luffys side.
If mihawk is also on the same side, that just makes the final fight of zoro and mihawk be tensionless......
Cool thing about the fight with mr.1 is its a death or survive situation...there was no one to help zoro and thats what makes his gained victory to be super badass

I think Mihawk and Zoro will happen regardless of Mihawk not being forced to obey the WG to the bare minimum to keep the title.
I think Zoro vs Mihawk is probably one of the last if not the last fight we will get to see in One Piece, everything else will be concluded at that point.

I'm my opinion, Zoro's fight with Mihawk is already going to be tensionless.

Zoro had a shortcut to the title and that is just a fact. Now this isn't taking away from Zoro's skill, but this is truth: Zoro is closest to the WSS title because the simple fact that he had Mihawk train him.

Despite the fact that only Zoro and Mihawk care about being WSS, even if their were more people gunning for Mihawk's title they wouldn't have the greatest chance like Zoro does.

Mihawk trained Zoro for 2 YEARS. For 2 years Zoro learned Mihawk's fighting style as they no doubt spared. 2 years to come up with a offensive and defensive for Mihawk's particular fighting style. Zoro has an unfair advantage over everyone else gunning for the title (if there is anyone else).

At the end of this... Zoro defeats Mihawk, but could he have done it without being trained by Mihawk? That is the question we are going to be debating now. One that I have serious doubts. Mihawk would have basically defeated himself by training Zoro.

What has Mihawk taught Zoro? Only Haki from what we saw and any decent combatant from New World could have taught him that.
It seems that Mihawk didnt share with Zoro the specifics about the Kokuto forging process since he doesn't know about it.
Zoro's combat style didnt change at all after training from Mihawk, he still uses the same Santoryu style he always used, actually it never changes since the start of the series. He always trained only physical strength in pre-TS and during TS he was training Haki.
Not sure what Mihawk could have taught Zoro so that Zoro has an advantage over him compared to others. :hmm
