Do any of you feel Zoro and Hiyori could be an item (as Oden and Toki were), and, at the end of the series, Zoro ends up at Wano?

I believe Zoro will go after Orochi, battling/beating Kyoshiro, and Hiyori killing Orochi with the Ame no Habakiri (maybe Zoro helps and uses Enma).

Of course, Zoro will be doing whatever is required to further Luffy's cause. I don't think Luffy would have an issue with Zoro aiming for Orochi before Kaido's crew, but at the end of the day Zoro will have to participate in the bringing down of Kaido and his crew in some capacity.

Wano definitely seems like Zoro's natural habitat at the end of story once his goal is accomplished. Considering his many parallels with Oden it could be that he ends up in relationship with Hiyori.

I just can't see Zoro or Luffy ending up with a woman, Zoro is too focused on being the best swordsman while Luffy's just oblivious.

Hancock is dead, I don't want this to be true but Oda hinted at Hancock being sacrificed along with Sabo and Vivi.

That's certainly an interpretation of what Oda implied during Jump Fiesta. I highly doubt that that will be the case for them. The latter two especially.

Anyway, Zoro's true loves are his swords. I honestly don't see him in any sort of romance at this point in time. Maybe in an epilogue, he may be shown to have settled down like Rayleigh, but the interest isn't there right now.

Yea I can agree with that. It might be more like Viola for Sanji, sure they'd look good together but it's not going to make sense.

That said, which leads to your next line, I am leaning more towards the endgame situation when Zoro may want to return to Wano after Luffy/himself reach their goals.

Yea, and that's why I'm hoping Oda doesn't mind making relationships canon.

Even the obsessed types can be coerced by womanly charms. I don't think it's something that has to happen, or remotely necessary. However it would be a soft touch for his character which I'd welcome with open arms.

As I doubt Oda will make Zoro and Hiyori have children like Oden and Toki did, little O-Toko serves as a parallel as their child.

Despite getting into a relationship and having children, Toki insisted that Oden leaves and continues his travels until he gets the answers he seeks.
Even if Zoro and Hiyori end up in a relationship, the same will happen, Zoro will leave until he fulfills his goal, nothing can get him off the WSS road.
Once he is WSS and WG overthrown I bet he will be going back to Wano.

WHen did that happen? i havent heard of it...

I think romance with woman before they achieve their dreams is like infidelity, cos romance has broadly been defined as the adventure in the series so far.

Plus, too many people on the ship will ruin the story experience. Oda would like to focus on all strawhats, if there are too many of em, he'll lose focus on the story.

I don't think it'd take feminity for Zoro to fall in love, but the woman being a tough badass and probably an accomplished swordsman.

I am afraid I underestimated Zoro, he might be considerably stronger than what I thought.
In that case, coming from the time-skip training, he didnt only come back stronger than Luffy, he came back waaay stronger.

Because Zoro is another strong fighter and they were up against a Yonko and her entire crww... of Course they would need the 2ND best fighter in their crew of 9.

Because it's his opinion. Challenge it if you disagree, simply calling it out as bait won't get discussion any further.

It's no requirement. Nothing says it is needed. And honestly, we don't know enough about it yet. Since we had upgrades to the other two haki forms, chances are Shanks' arc, or another one, will have more to say. So right now, Zoro just doesn't look like he'd really "NEED" it to be first mate on the Pirate King's ship or even World's Strongest Swordsman. As of yet.

I would personally love to see him have it of course, but right now there's no "requirement".
