Nah, he fighting Orochi more. He doesn't forget his revenge easily like that like he avenge Chopper on Ohmn.I am 99% sure Zoro will fight king
Zoro doesn't look like the type of guy to become a Shogun. Sounds way too peaceful for him.Marrying Hiyori and becoming future Shogun of Wano is enough of a character development?![]()
Also since when he into girls? Stop his journey for marriage? Nah he isn't like that and only love is his life is his blades.Zoro doesn't look like the type of guy to become a Shogun. Sounds way too peaceful for him.
do you forget the part where he got new sword, known for giving wound to a yonkou?Nah, he fighting Orochi more. He doesn't forget his revenge easily like that like he avenge Chopper on Ohmn.
Plus man who fainted from nerf pleasure isn't going to beat YC lvl opponent all by himself unless he has major help for it.
I mean Shogun as leader of Wano's military, not the Shogun we see in Orochi, Momonosuke will take over the political leadership with position of an Emperor.Zoro doesn't look like the type of guy to become a Shogun. Sounds way too peaceful for him.
It's not something he wants, it's a title Momonosuke will give him and it will happen after he became WSS.Shogun makes no sense for Zoro. Zoro goals are of his own interests (strongest swordman).
I hope so, that Shimotsuki Ushimaru looked too much like Zoro to be just skipped and never addressed. Is Zoro's backstory going to connect to Wano or not?
Oh, that's possible but it still seems too calm for him. Zoro would probably prefer going into a hurricane and fighting everything in his path.I mean Shogun as leader of Wano's military, not the Shogun we see in Orochi, Momonosuke will take over the political leadership with position of an Emperor.
Once Zoro has accomplished his dream I can see him spending his days in Wano training the samurai who will look up to him even before the time Wano arc is over.
He also use the Snake Slayer sword on Kaido, so by your logic, Momo should fight Kaido in same way since he has the other. Enma isn't going to do anything to him especially he won't fall for same routine twice on being cut down like he did years ago. Think Zoro would surpass Luffy and beat or heavily injured Kaido more is dumb assessment just based on the blade which shown in flashback it took 2 blades to cut into his body, not one.do you forget the part where he got new sword, known for giving wound to a yonkou?

I'm not sure about Kuina's family but my hope had always been that we'd meet Zoro's relatives of some kind in Wano. As the story went on and with Oda mentioned in SBS 92, I'm really hoping that Zoro will be a descendant of the Shimotsuki family.Zoro and Kuina's family will have ties to Wano, and the plot reveal will hopefully unravel bit by bit as more characters come into the story (eg former daimyos).
If Zoro is a Shimutsuki, he could be appointed daimyo by Momonosuke, who will take the step up this arc to become shogun.
Reading that part of Oda's comment as well as what Hitetsu said about Kozaburo (ch955) leaving the country illegally, you start to weave the piece together in your mind and can see how Zoro would fit into it.SBS 92 said:The fact of the matter is, a ship from Wano reached East Blue a few decades ago.
One of the descendants of someone on that ship is a person that everybody is familiar with...
This part might be featured later in the main story so I won't mention any more than that. It isn't going to be a major plot line, it will just be a minor story.
Seeing we reaching now War side, don't think we will get any deeper stuff on Zoro or his background. It be too out of nowhere in fighting and plus some already tired of Oden's flashback to begin with. This was just never Zoro's arc much. He will have his certain moments, but he truly not center of attention much.I'm not sure about Kuina's family but my hope had always been that we'd meet Zoro's relatives of some kind in Wano. My own theory now is Kozaburo had left Wano to explore the world and with the other passangers( including Minamoto's ancestors) ended up in East Blue, with Kozaburo then settling down in what became known as Shimotsuki village. It would explain how ( the swordsmith responsible for making) Wado Ichimonji ends up there.
Maybe the sword was passed on to sons in the family until a descendant only gave birth to a daughter, hence it ended up with Koushirou? Maybe said daughter left the village and returned many years later to leave her son to be trained and looked after by the dojo master, as a favour to the descendant of the founding member. This son would be Zoro and would help in explaining how he has a different family name ( his father's).
What do you guys think?
I wonder if Kozaburo broke the law by leaving the country or he left the country because he broke the law...Reading that part of Oda's comment as well as what Hitetsu said about Kozaburo (ch955) leaving the country illegally, you start to weave the piece together in your mind and can see how Zoro would fit into it.

As noted in the quote I posted above, it's not going to be a major plot, just a minor story. This is with us working under the assumption that it is Zoro that Oda is referring to. Other than that, the rest of my post is my own theory on how it could possibly have played out; Zoro coming to be born under this family.Seeing we reaching now War side, don't think we will get any deeper stuff on Zoro or his background. Was it supposed to be? I don't think I heard anything about it being so. Naturally in a land of samurai, he'd stand out more than the other crew members but certainly with the major plot points to go through in this arc, I don't consider that he would be his arc. There are few things that are more important here. He has gotten is fair share, including a new sword, which we love to see. Begrudgingly giving up Shusui. This was just never Zoro's arc much. He will have his certain moments, but he truly not center of attention much.
It's very possible he doesn't fight any of them, yes. He hasn't gotten any history with any of them but they all carry bladed weapons/swords of some kind, though their proficiency is largely unknown. I think a lot of us see King as an opponent for Zoro, but that's less because of anything other thant the fact he carries a katana.Even thinking he won't fight the Calamities since he heading more Orochi side to face him as final fight. The fight history in Wano hasn't been truly good on him much to think he get up there as deep.
I'd say probably the former. I don't see anyone of that family being traitors or assisting the enemy; however far removed it is from the current story or its characters. The negative implications it would have would be difficult to ignore. Especially considering all the Shimotsuki we've come to know, especially the lengths Yasuie has gone to protect our allies' plans and the citizens of Wano from the shadows.I wonder if Kozaburo broke the law by leaving the country or he left the country because he broke the law...
Maybe he protected a member of Kurozumi clan during the prosecution of the said clan...
It depends on how Oda goes, but don't think he have time to go detail on his backstory enough with upcoming fights as again be too out of nowhere especially focal point is not to lose interest in war fight and Scabbards on their situation if he comes out with something like that.As noted in the quote I posted above, it's not going to be a major plot, just a minor story. A lot of his journey through this arc has led us to see Orochi as the person he would see out if he could choose an opponent; especially now that Kyoshiro is confirmed to be Denjiro. It's hard to imagine Orochi as a really fight, not only because he seems more the man in the shadows rather than the fighter (despite his mythical devil fruit) but also because he's not a swordsman.
Unfortunately the only real samurai we've seen fight is now an ally, so hopefully a new strong challenger shows up.
