Pour Shaman King, dans le tome 24 il y aura 2 nouveaux chapitre sur la fight entre Marco et Luchist. Le chapitre #360 sera tout en couleur. Les tomes 26-27 contiendront des chapitres pour completer la fin de la série.
Since someone requested for a translation of the ads regarding Shaman King.

The JF flyer (in colour) doesn't say much that isn't already on the official site. Basically, vol 26-27 of the kanzenban will contain the true, proper ending for the series. Two new chapters will be added in vol 24 (more details on this below). 360 pages of full colour across all 27 volumes containing databook-type of information. All artwork/print will be retouched/corrected (of course, that doesn't mean ALL, just some.) The total number of new pages drawn for the true and proper ending is 380, the most ever in Jump history. It all begins (or ends) in April 2009 (i.e. with the release of vol 26-27).

The other b&w ad is from WSJ (likely) containing information about the 2 new chapters in vol 24, releasing on 4 Feb 2009, ch 265-266. It's the battle between Marco and Luchist (excuse me if spelling is wrong). The outcome of their battle and the reason why Luchist betrayed(?) the X-LAWS will be revealed as part of the true, proper ending of the series. Total number of new pages in these two chapters is 36.

Can't wait for Ashihara Daisuke's oneshots.

His Room 303 oneshot was pretty awesome. Just wish someone had scanned it from Jump #33 for a proper Edited Manga.

Hey, kimiri. Got WSJ 33 by any chance? :X

Mago's in the basement again? This is disappointing. Maybe nobodies liking the tanuki arc.

Why is Mago in the basement? I hope it's not gonna get canned. Mago's tank sales have always been very good. I hope they give it some leeway room.

Who knows. I think Mago's gotten to the point Psyren's at, the point Sket got to earlier this year: it's lasted long enough that there always seems to be something else to cancel. I'm predicting now that Psyren and Mago will survive the next round of cuts no matter what. And the longer a series lasts the higher the odds it finds an audience. While I really enjoy Meister and Kuroko I doubt either will last long.

Nice avy Randal. I like the battle wolf!

yeah terry cloth rocks bells!

and the bottom 5 isn't too bad this time... what we're looking at now is Love Trouble having to round it up soon despite the ovas, and asklepios leaving of course... and then i'm screwed. i'll enjoy everything to some extent (even naruto at present... bleach?..... well it's still pretty)

ugh Jump's being too kind to me lately

I suppose i can pretend to hate Bokke-san till Edited Mangas hit the scene

I'm grudgingly working on LQ scans of chapter 1 V_V If someone takes it off my hands I'd be happy. Not that it's bad, it's actually pretty good. I'm just not overly enthused about cleaning magazine raws.

Naruto will probably end by the end of this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Bleach just had another large arc after this current one too.

And they can't keep canning the action series' so Psyren and Mago probably have some high hopes from the editors. Reborn! will never rise to the status of Bleach and Naruto, so something's gotta replace the shonen trio.

I also think only one sports series will survive, since they haven't really shown much differences so far. Chapter 3 of Kuroko was pretty much identical to Meistar's chapter 3, and in chapter 4 Kuroko is gonna face Kise, just like Raiho faced the other guy in chapter 4.

No chance Naruto ends by the end of 2009.

No chance whatsoever.

It has at the very least 3 more years to go.

What are the chances that both will get cancelled and we'll get another round of crying over the lack of sports series in Jump? The two series are THAT similar? Ouch.

I'd think Toriko's almost at the level of the Top 3, and that will probably end long after Naruto...

I almost cried when I saw DGM wasn't on the cover, but I guess that's to be expected.

I'm not too worried about Mago atm. I still think here are about 3-4 series that will be gone before it. To love, seeing as it has been pretty much second to last for a while, Asklepios, seeing as how it's been last for a while, Neuro, it was said it's ending this year right, and Psyren, it's generally below Mago and has been near or in the basement for quite a while now.

Though, what do I know? Double Arts somehow got canceled before Haken.

Kishi just said at Jump Festa it's ending soon. After the Pein arc (which will most likely, all that's left is Madara and Sasuke. That could easily be finished up within 50-75 chapters. It may not end this time next year, but it could end reasonably soon.

Eiichiro Oda also said when he was doing the Alabasta arc that "One Piece is half done." That was around volume 26 or 27, and now One Piece is in the volume 53 or 54 range and it isn't even close of being done.

Then about a year ago, he did another interview saying "The story in my mind was about half done, but some things just lasted a lot longer than I ever thought they would" in reference to Skypiea and Water 7. Then he mentioned again that he thought that at the pace things are going now that he was half-done.

I see Naruto ending in about 5 to 8 years from now, although you are right, it could end in 50-75 chapters. I just don't see it ending that fast.

As for Kubo Tite, he flat out denied when he was in the States a fw months back that he had plans to end Bleach. And rightfully so. The man has no idea how to tell a story (Like Oogure Ito) and is making a very good living out of DBZ with swords. Why would he ever want to end Bleach? Especially with the sales he has now.

The fact that Kubo is driving Bleach into the ground is completely turning me off. Naruto, I will probably keep up with. I don't read OP.

I just hope some of them end so we can end the "Big 3" Era in Jump...

It'd probably be easier to tell when a manga will end when said end is nearer - so just because Oda wasn't sure when he was "halfway through", that's not to say Kishi isn't if he really is almost at the end. It'd be a huge shock to see one of the Top 3 end, I think (but no wonder SJ wants to catch up with Naruto, of all the series!).

Not surprised about Bleach having no end in sight. It's got no plot to end.

One Piece can be expected to end in about 8 to 13 years from now. It's not going anywhere for a while. Naruto, well, I heard that Kishimoto said at last year's Jump Festa that the story had about two years left, and would end at around 500 chapters. That gives Naruto 1.5-2 years left, which seems about right. I figure that there's nothing left to do but have the final clash with the Akatsuki, which will result in Naruto confronting Sasuke and resolving that issue. Tsunade dies some time along the way, and Naruto becomes the 6th Hokage (despite being totally undeserving of the position), and he, Sakura, and Sasuke go down in history as the next generation of Sannin. Series over, and all that can be wrapped up in about 2 years. Unlike some manga-ka, Kishimoto does not have a tendency to extend his manga long past where it REALLY should have ended, for the sake of both the story and the readers. He's just shown a tendency to make the story suck while it was still going on.

Kubo, on the other hand, has been over-extending Bleach ever since he didn't end it in Soul Society, to the point where I have no idea what's happening anymore, because nothing's actually happened since Turn Back the Pendulum. The chapters simply aren't worth remembering. If Kubo doesn't intend to end Bleach after this arc (which could still take 7 years, considering Kubo's pacing), then I think Bleach may get "Shaman King-ed"- cancelled even after becoming a well established series with over 30 volumes, simply because it got SO unpopular rather late in the story. If Bleach continues as it is now without ending, I predict that it will last 2-3 years, maybe 4 for its past grace to wear out, before it gets cancelled. It's already beginning to lose its "Big 3" spot to Toriko and Reborn, at least in the Table of Contents, if not in tankobon sales, and if Reborn starts to pick up a bit, and Toriko gets more established... Bleach could be seriously dethroned.

In short, the current Big 3 (there are always really a few really big series in Weekly Jump, just all three of them don't usually last this long) will be around for at least another 2-3 years, at which point Naruto and Bleach can be expected to end/be cancelled. Toriko and another new comer series, along with One Piece, should be the new Big 3. Unless One Piece goes beyond rankings, like Kochikame, and a new series replaces it, but I think that the story is too connnected, popular, and well-selling for that to happen. I think it will retain its flagship title status for the duration of the series.

One Piece's been stated to be at the halfpoint right now. That's pretty fitting, since they're more or less exactly halfway around the world.

As for Naruto, I can't see it lasting more than two years past this point. And that's pushing it, it'll probably be more like 1.5 or something. Then again, I want that series over already. I'd rather not see it fall any farther in my mind...

And Bleach... Kubo's having a good old time drawing cool shit, so it confuses the hell out of me when people claim that it's "almost over."
