everyone agree that war is horror. the israeli people want to live in peace, too. but hamas are fanatics. they have no regret when they kill israeli. they teach their children to hate israeli from a very young age. they send suicide bombers into the crowds.

for about 2 years israel pulled his army back from gaza and what do you think happened? they grew from underground organisation to a real threat and pushed the goverment faction fatah back. now hamas control gaza and they are much more radical than fatah.

if hamas has no regrets to send own people die, should israel have regrets? should they just endure the bombing in their streets and the rockets which hamas send over flying?

don't think that i'm pro war. i hate war. but if israel won't do something it will never end.

Well oppressing Palestine certainly isn't going to ease the opposition against Israel, therefore wouldn't solve the conflict.

you only say the things that are wrong. we all know that it is wrong but try to pull a solution in this case. it is much more difficult and that is why there is such a conflict.
israel try it's own solution. it may be wrong for us but not that wrong for them.

what would you do if your city would be bombarded every few days and you never know when it would hit you or your family, friends or relatives?

As you sow, so you shall reap.

Their is no solution, Israel isn't exactly in the right but they're not in the wrong. Hamas I feel is certainly in the wrong but the people in Gaza are the ones who have to suffer from that.

Israel is using a solution that has been shown to have better long term effects. Look at it like the Atomic Bombing of Japan(though I have to question whether that was the easiest solution and whether the US goverment didn't go to far). It's certainly not something to be proud of but it works.

Yeah but in this case its not going work. Other solutions have to be found including negotiations with Hamas and not without otherwise the conflict cannot be resolved, even though I'm starting think if ever-lasting peace can even be achieved, it just seems like the same whole process is being repeated, and peace holds no real meaning for both sides concerned.

problem in this case:

hamas want that israel pulls his army out off gaza. it is understandable.
they want that israel dissolve the embargo. it is understandable, too. here begin the problems. hamas transport their weapons from egypt. right now they are using hundreds of tunnels. israel had destroyed few of them. if they dissolve the embargo, can you imagine HOW much weapons they could transport? explosive, firearms, ammunition, rockets en masse.

the piece they would have with hamas would only last few month utmost. then rockets bombardement, suicide bombers, well armed hamas ready to deflect any attack. that means also that israel would lose much more soldiers if they began another conflict like this. this is much more difficult than it looks. the citizens of gaza are the victims like always.

I think the reason why Gazans support Hamas is that they have no choice. Even before this whole attack, there was a humanitarian crisis situation there. There was no electricity, scarce food and medicine, no money and no jobs. Plus the fact that Gaza was closed off from the neighboring areas(even from Egypt there was a blockade to prevent passing...It was opened for a few hours when it got really shitty), people couldn't provide support for themselves and their families.

Imagine this while you are in your comfy home somewhere completely far away....

The only answer to getting by was joining a radical group who had taken over, if I am not mistakes Hamas at one point was killing off all the fatah members (their own compatriots from another group) in the strip. they were that isolated from the rest of the west bank...

Back to the present, shortage of food and supplies radical militants with support was rounding up their own people...Many Civilians had to join to survive, then comes Israel who is the main enemy (just as Palestine is Israel's enemy) and shoots ducks in a closed barrel..... Tanks, heavy bombardment and very advanced weapons VS basic weapons and no strategy what so ever except hit and run....

Israel has the right to protect itself, and so does palestine ...No life is more important than the other...justifying killing civilians for the sake of protecting civilians on the other side is wrong.... especially if it 800 people in 3 weeks....

but debating it won't solve anything coz no matter what we do, innocent people will die for economic gains and interests of the more powerful nations.

And if innocent victims complain, hell....it is their fault, they should suffer, bleed and die in silence because this is the current world order.

Well a temporary end to Rocket Fire for sure.

Hamas gets screwed over. A good chance of a popularity drop for Hamas.

What Israel is going for now is a permanent end to rocket fire and monitors on the Gaza/Egypt border. Through diplomatic means but I see about a 0% chance of either of those things happening.

None of this is really surprising. It's the Middle East

Hamas will be soon history.
??
Now that they are so close to finish Hamas, they should go to the end and even civilian Palestinians agree with that cuz they don't want to live that situation again in couple of weeks, months or years if Israel let Hamas get away.
If they stop now Hamas would have won and will grown bigger.
Im I missing something ?? u said Hamas will be soon history... can u explaine plz ?

indeed after they killed more than 1200 n injured more than 5000 !!

they could stop rockets by letting gaza free at the first time i mean without soldiers on each entrance of the city.

It's believed that Hamas will have a popularity drop, I mean who got them into a war with Israel of all places?

Also where did Egypt say that? I know Iran said something to that context. Anyways that really doesn't have all that much to do with whats going on. They have a right to defend but they don't have a right to fire rockets into Israel. In fact twisting the words a little this could easily be support for Israel.

They're goal was to stop the rocket fire. I don't think you understand what happened here. Here goes:

-Hamas gives temporary ceasefire of Rockets which was Israel's goal in the first place. Does not give any hope for a permenant end to them.

-Israel leaves and declares ceasefire

So then Israel leaves the moment they get hope a temporary ceasefire on Rockets. This means that Hamas had an ace in the hole that could have ended the war with far less casulties then now. But they didn't play it? Why? Because they're stubborn . Yeah the Blame Game is just great.

They left Gaza. What else are they supposed to do?

@Akasunanosasori
It seems that you're not happy that the war is over.
