Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

I like Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, and Nujabes.
Lupe Fiasco is my favourite. He happens to be the very few who rap about decent things, plus the tunes are nice.

When you say Rap, do you mean Old School or not?

Depending on whether thats a yes or no my answer will differ greatly.

I'm a hip-hop/rap fan. My favorite rapper is Nas(In God's son i trust). My favorite song of his is: One Mic(he killed that shit). Then comes Lupe Fiasco. My favorite songs of his are: Fighters and Hip-Hop saved my life

It's all about Soulja Boy these days
Talk about been whack. The likes of Soulja Boy is what is wrong with Hip Hop nowadays.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Yeah, I'm a Hip Hop/Rap fan here. My favourite Rapper has to be Eminem. His songs are awesome and contains meanings about his life and some of his songs are just hilarious, funny as hell when taking the piss out of other celebs. :p Others I like are Tupac, Notorious BIG, Big L, Big Pun, Scarface, Nas, Ice Cube, Kool G Rap, Wu-Tang, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Bones-N-Thugs Harmony, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne.

Also a mixture between old school and new.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

I like Eminem somwehat, his new stuff aint that good though.
Well as far as swedish hiphop goes ive found a dude called Roffe Ruff, he's basically my neighbour but he always wears a mask so i dont know exactly who the fuck he is, very annoying.

Btw, what do you think of the interview where Birdman said that Lil' Wayne is better than Biggie, Pac n' Jay-Z?

Baby aka Birdman said:
“He can rap, he can sing, he’s just an artist,” he says. “I don’t think no one will ever be greater [than Wayne] because I don’t think no one puts in the time or the quality. If someone do come along, can you imagine what he’ll have to do? He got to put out on thousand mixtapes, do a thousand records [and] sell 100 million records. 2Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie didn’t get to the shit Wayne’s done.”
This mutha f*cka just made quite an amount of enemies, alright I didn't like Lil' Wayne to begin with, but still, this is blasphemy.
Baby said:
“It’s not a rock record,” said the Birdman in an interview. “That’s what I think people are getting misunderstood. When you speaking about a rock record, you think he’s got a guitar and everything, but it’s not that. It’s going to be some of those types of beats, but it’s just great music. I don’t think no artist can do what he about to get done. My son is a rock star.”
Rappers AINT ROCKSTARS! IT SHOULD BE COMMON F*CKIN SENSE!

pffst. he's just making news and getting attention. lil wayne is far from being the best rapper. i can't tell who's the best rapper, but my favorite would be the beastie boys, as paul's boutique is my favorite rap album of all time.

Biggie n' Pacs work is respected among almost any hiphop fan and Jay-Z is said to be the current king of hiphop. I doubt that Lil' Wayne will achieve either much less both.

Anyways, I can't say who the best MC is either, but my favourite is Pst/Q. :amuse
Has anyone seen the movie 'bout Biggie? "Notorious"? It's actually pretty good, worth a watch indeed.

Better then Jay Z? Hahaha you got to be kiddin' me, he is known as the King of Hip Hop. There is a reason why Lil Wayne is known as LIL Wayne. He still is a beginner, he doesn't match up against the top dogs.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

the thing is, lil wayne is 26, pac died at 25 n biggie at 24. They achieved a lot more in less years.

he'll never step on the same level as them even more so after what birdman said. bitch ass punk.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Asher Roth is ok. Biggie and Pac arent the greatest ever. Wayne is an average rapper at most.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

I like Eminem's "We made you" but have you heard "3 A.M" that song is pretty dark and R-rated.

I'm still waiting for Detox.

I've been listening to a lot of plan b recently. Dunno why, but at first i use to think him rubbish, bland, predictable. But i was an idiot. Easily one of the best rapper on these shores.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Checked Asher Roth out, wasnt that impressed, he sounds, i dunno, plain. I prefer Apathy, Tonedeff, Deacon the Villain and Esoteric just to mention a few.

I think this is better than Asher Roth.

Many rappers will rap circles round Big and Pac. The Jazz Liberatorz album is very dope.
Cant stop listening to it.
