Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

e interview where Birdman said that Lil' Wayne is better than Biggie, Pac n' Jay-Z?
The dude must be on something.

Greatest Rappers Ever:
1. Biggie & Pac (I think both are on the same level of greatest. And it piss me off when a fan of one try to make the other greater while discrediting the other greatness. They are both the greatest, people should just learn to respect that)
3. Nas (greatest lyricist of all-time)
4. Rakim
5. Jay-Z

As for the Eminem discussion: I don't really like the guy music. His only songs i like are
1. "Lose yourself"- one of the best song of all time. That shit set the street on fire when it came out.
2. "The way I'm"

Beside those two songs i really can't stand the guy music.

Jay-Z? Nah I would put Ice Cube and Easy E above him. Z can't touch them in terms of lyrics.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

I can agree that his vocabulary ain't the biggest and that the variation could be better, but then same for lil' wayne that dont vary as much in his rhyming and is often using the same word to rhyme with but he gives them different meanings so everything's a matter of taste

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

I still reckon the old school rappers are better, but the good thing about the present day artists is that they experiment with the music, and the beats are still on a high level.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Yeah I grew up with early eminem and snoop so i haven't really got a hung of 2pac, biggie but they are deffo top top!

And yeh a lot of rappers experiment, mix with other styles and stuff, it's interesting and fun to see the development of the style since it's relatively new and free for experiments...

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Eminem is a master, his new album is different though, when I first heard 3A.M I was a bit skeptic, but after hearing it again, its a good tune.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Well, "crack a bottle" aint that bad, it got a pretty nice vibe innit. And "when i'm gone" is also a great song but I can agree that some of his albums are nothing but bad "club" songs...

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

eminem is cool, but i'd rather listen to the acts mostly from the 80s and 90s. old school is the best, let me list some of my faves

public enemy - fear of a black planet
n.w.a - straight outta compton
beastie boys - ill communication (i decided i liked this one best)
outkast - aquameni
the roots - things fall apart
black star (mos def and talib kweli)
a tribe called quest - the low end theory

as for new ones, i mostly incline to alternative hiphop

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Just heard Crash You by Thomas Rusiak. feat Teddybears STHLM, check it out yonie if you haven't heard it. It's the first english song i've heard with Timbuktu innit, and he's one of Swedens best rappers of all-time often doing influential political hip-hop.

edit: I'll check out those songs, havent heard any of them o.O

Re: Hip Hop/Rap fans here?

Out of Eminem's known new singles of his new album (Relapse) what do you think is the best?

"Crack a Bottle" Listen

"We Made You" Listen

"3am" Listen

"Old Time's Sake" Listen

"Beautiful" Listen

So far I would have to like "Beautiful" the best, Eminem is back!

My number #1 favourite from these singles has to be " We Made You". And my #2 favourite is " Old Time's Sake" that is awesome.

"Beautiful" doesn't sound like Eminem or his songs. :darn:notrust:o;):blink:s:oh

hmm fifty, dre, em, stat quo, bobby creek, kardinal offishall, fat joe, birdman, lil' wayne, some chamillionaire but h bit ridiculous imo... also "We the Best" album by Dj Khaled, donomar, fabolous, T.I (dope imo), flo rida, Jay-Z (mainly the remixes with Linkin Park), Julez Santana, Paul Wall, Lloyd Banks, Ca$his, M.I.A and The Streets

As for swedish it's like... Mange Schmidt (sorry ippy..) timbuktu, petter and Organism 12, Pst/Q (Mobbade barn med Automatvapen) and the underground ones are Kaggen and Legenden.. basically..
Organismen and Pst is still considered underground although well known in the swedish hiphop scene. Well atleast Org is, Pst/Q is still signed to juju records which holds acts such as Timbuktu and Chords but hasnt released anything since 2001, he has made a few guestappearances mopst recently on promoes 'kråksången' an album which i highly recommend.
