ROFLMAO!!!!! People still think Akaboshi has a prayer. It's been in every bottom five since it debuted. Does it matter weather it's first from bottom, second, or fourth. It's the least popular manga in the magazine, that won't change.

Kuroko seems to be in trouble but nothing dire. It could survive the next cuts.

C'mon Akaboshi, just another spot or two and you might not die so young!!

Kuroko just needs to be let go though. I mean giving color pages to a series the week after it hits bottom is retarded.

But the Mago color/extra pages thing is freaking sweet.
Well though it got color pages I don't think it necessarily means it will live beyond the next cuts.

Bokke-san(Which I actually liked ;__; ) got color for chapter 12 or 13 but that didn't stop them from killing it at chapter 18 this year. Although Kuroko has the advantage of being the only sports series in the magazine, that should only go so far when Jump readers don't seem to like sports atm.

Plus Kuroko still has a disproportionate amount of colors compared to everything else outside of Bleach and Beelzebub. This will be number 8 for this calendar year. Bleach has 8 and Beelzebub has 7.

There's nothing wrong with pointless hope. I know the series has pretty much no chance of survival, but its nice to see it putting up a fight.

There's nothing wrong with pointless hope backed by realistic expectations.

I think my expectations are pretty realistic. I just want it to end without bottoming out week after week. That's not too much to ask.

What's this shit about Kuroko getting yet another CP? JUMP should just cut that crappy series...
Sad to see Mago falling back after it's great rise. Apart from that, it's what I'd call a very pleasing and enjoyable round of ドベ5!

The only way Kuroko won't end with the next round of cuts is if something else gets cut instead - and it's possible; Medaka isn't doing as well as it could/should, even if it isn't bottoming out like Akaboshi. I can't see Jump cutting any of its other series, though. Maybe the next round of new series will have a sports series, and...

I can see Medaka ending before Kuroko, painful as that is to say.

^What gets me is the series is most likely going to die anyway. In this cut or the next with the way it is ranking. I'd rather not cut a series with potential compared to a series with underwhelming games and extremely shallow characters for the most part.

Jump wasting time on an extremely crappy series in a desperate attempt to keep sports in their line-up. That is the only thing I can think of. -____-

Well with Mago's recent stint of popularity and the incoming drama CD I'm no longer worried about it at all.

Kuroko, however, needs to freaking die.

No one's even translated or scanlated he last 4-5 Kuroko chapters... I liked it but it does kinda not seem like something that could ever be interesting in the long run. There are like 3 interesting characters, most of the rest look like each other and you can't remember who's who, and though it does give a kinda science logic to the game it doesn't make up for other things which kinda makes it tedious, like nothing's happening.

Yeah, it looks like English translation is about 4 chapters back. Kuroko is actually got better in Shuutoku arc. But, the pace is too fast, so if Kuroko continues, it is not even going to reach the 20 volumes.

Also, I want to know that is people's judgement on Kuroko is based on Shuutoku arc, or does people make jundgement based on Seihou arc, which is not really good and too short.

Mago getting color and drama CD is just amazing. I somehow suspected that the editor put Mago into the bottom so they can give Gintama and Bakuman together in the upper half. Does it say when the CD is going to be released?
Considering it's going to get a drama CD, I think it's time we start guessing who will be voicing who.

What's a drama cd?

Anime, music, live-action...?

Anime without the animation, basically. The seiyu act out the parts just like they would for an episode. It's all dialog on audio CD.

Well at least Mago has potential probably for April '10, about the same right now as Psyren but it all depends on how either go. (the only thing that seems certain is Jump is grooming Toriko to be the "next big thing")

Kuroko getting color and 31 pages makes up for it dropping back to the bottom five this week. Hopefully Jump can put some more life into it. I'd hate to lose such a great series so soon.

Yes and not to mention the English version of Jump just picked the series up. To be honest, Toriko is not one of my personal favorites in the magazine.

Well unless we hear anything about Psyren getting a drama CD or anything, I think Mago and Toriko will be the one getting an anime first especially with the two being bigger seller than Psyren. Although I think we're forgetting that Bakuman is already the big thing, not to mention it will be the easiest to adapt to drama, movie or anime.
Any news on who will be the seiyuu of Rikuo?

>.< Sket Dance dance will get an anime first >.<

Psyren will get one in April, there's no doubt. It's drama CD will come out after Mago, but both will probably debut in April 2010. Toriko and Bakuman won't be until October 2010. Any earlier and they'd have to start filler to soon.
