At least Enigma is getting a color page. It's not like it amounts to much, but it's nice to go one week without seeing it at rock bottom. It's a travesty that the last series from 2010 is going to be canceled. The entire year was a failure, and it looks like 2011 may be going the same way. There's a good chance that St&rs and Harisugawa will end up like Enigma and Magico. And Ikkyu was arguably WSJ's big gun for the year, and it failed miserably.

I think it's a bit unfair to consider the entire year a failure. We enjoyed Enigma for what it was so the experience was worth it. However, while it is disappointing that it's doing rather badly right now, until there's a notice that it's actually canceled, we can't say anything for certain. There are many different scenarios that can play out before then.

Yes, Magico came out on September 2. Like all the other Jump series.
The ranking is for the week from August 29 to September 4, we can hope that the sales boost over 30k next week.

Oh, now that's understandable. I thought it was a week. It's not bad then. :)

As for a whole number of the series, i don't think there is any information on it.

Guys I just noticed Bakuman doesn´t come with a cover for any of its chapters (Except when it has a color page) does any other WSJ title do this too?? If my memory serves correctly I think Dragon Ball didn´t had covers for its chapters?

Those sales seemed pretty good to me and they seemed to be going up with each consecutive volume. Maybe they had a higher standard of success back then.

Naruto usually had them every chapter, but there haven't been any lately. From draws a chapter cover from time to time, though.
Bleach always incorporates them into the chapters.
HunterxHunter doesn't have them either. Not anymore at least.
Most of the series abondon those chapter covers in order to put more content into the chapter.

I've been looking all over for those with no luck :(

but yeah, those were pretty tough days when volume sales couldn't really help. It was same deal for Ane Doki and bunch of other stuff.

If only the international buyers would amount to 1% of the sales, they probably would. :P
Kind of hard when they do incredibly moronic things like restrict how many volumes you can buy on Jmanga, region lock it, etc.

The only series that consistently has a cover every chapter is One Piece if I remember correctly.

Not sure I'd count Bleach...I'd say it's more of a title page given that it's almost never at the beginning of the chapter.

Hmm

Almost exactly the same as the oneshot, but it seems a bit more polished this time.

Gets points for not turning in to an unrecognizable mess between oneshot and series, which has been happening way too much lately.

Well this series seems somewhat interesting. I like the concept and I could easily see it turning into a more mainstream battle manga if it needs to..Only real complaint so far is the art it's pretty inconsistent and there were times where Sayuri almost looked like a man. Though if the series lasts long enough I suppose the art will improve.

Of course if it;s true that the author badmouthed other JUMP series I;m not sure how much I can be on board with this one.
