There's no deep scar on his cheek, but I'm fine with it as long as the hand is dismembered.

This is an amazing sign for this fight. The fact that his arm is dismembered shows that we will atleast get to see the fight in it's intended structure (however most likely with lessened blood).

I think Hisoka will lose his arms. The story of the fight depends upon it. I suspect blood will be lessened.

I thought I saw a screenshot of ep 31 with Hisoka holding his severed arm, so that's guarantee. It just look a bit clean ( no blood).

Probably like the manga where the arm just seems to fly off.

Believe it or not there's really not all that much blood until AFTER
when the blood in the severed arm and the arm stump starts flowing.

They'll probably use nen to censor.

There's a small chance they will as they have been keeping a few things from the 99 series that aren't in the manga. One such example is Killua calling Wing Mr. 4 eyes when in the manga Killua just calls him wing.


Hilarious thing about all this censorship...

It's gonna make Kastro look like a total wimp

I only need the blood when the arm is coming off. Then I just don't care. And it's illogical to bleed much, since the Gum should "hold" the ligaments there to no get "lose".
I can't judge anyway by that image that because the only thing I see are characters there when it's supposed to end the arm.

There likely won't be. But actually as I said when the arm comes off it doesn't actually bleed all that much. It's after when it starts bleeding because of Hisoka's heart pumping blood.

The arm would be longer than that. It's going past the bottom of the screen.
I dunno if they are going to use the screen borders as a way to censor or not.

Maybe I can have fun seeing what they do to censor the episode.



QUESTION TIME:


Let's say they made a version of the DVDs that added blood in and perhaps even deleted/new/alternative scenes from the manga. Basically what us manga fans want.

But they charged extra for it (It would have to be since it would involve more work)

Would you be willing to pay more to get a more true-to-the-manga uncensored anime?

Let's see I think It was about $60 for 15 episodes from the english dub of the 1999 series for full retail price. Would you mind if it became $70 or even $80 for a more violent
HxH?

(Of course I wait for the price to drop anyways. :P)

No I wouldn't. The amount of blood isn't a selling factor for me what so ever.

Me as well. As long as it retains what the author intended, blood or no blood doesn't matter to me.
Which is also the reason why my '99 hxh copy is well... downloaded somewhere. Or why I didn't watch Eyeshield21 and Beelzebub anime at all despite them being one of my favorite manga.

Honestly, it depends. I would first see if the blood was well done, some reviews, I don't know.

Actually, if the "bloody dvds" included the original version too, I would gladly pay more to have them. It would be like having the "Master Edition" or something.

Well I for one would pay extra for a more bloody HxH 2011. It's not that I got some sorta obsession with blood and violence (no more than most people I think).
It's just that I would want it to be as close to the manga as it can be and to do that you're gonna have to have some violence. Togashi drew it violent for a reason.

Neither the 1999 version or the 2011 version have lived up to this standard. That doesn't make them bad but just not as good as they could be.

I understand that with the time clock HxH 2011 got it's really difficult to show violence. That is why I think the DVDs should be more violent.

So, with these titles, i guess Heavens Arena arc will end with episode 36.
