Yeah, I even applied for it once already, shortly before my abitur. They accepted my portfolio so I was able to participate in the exams, but they noticed that I chose the wrong field of study. Apparently, I was too young as well.

That's a shame! What did you study? I imagine Fine Arts is especially difficult.

Well yeah.^^ I don't know about it. So far, every single teacher in middle- and highschool liked me. Towards the end it became ridiculous. I was even able to sell a painting of mine to a teacher for 100€....So, even though I know it won't, I hope it will continue like this.

You mean, like, during Gymnasium? I was majoring Art and English with a minor in Philosophy (or rather, "Ethik") and Math.
After getting my (Abitur) diploma I was already fed up with visual arts and went straight for Language and Literary Studies: Japanese Studies (major), English Literature and Intercultural German Studies.

But your experience throughout Gymnasium sounds great. You'll definitely cut your own path! I wish you all the best with it!!

Well, sure do!
It's not all that important here what you do during highschool, as long as you get your diploma. No one gives two shits about your choice of subjects.

With the stuff I'm currently doing at university I got several options as to what I can do. I'm most likely going to be a university lecturer after graduating and so I can start working towards getting my PhD. : )

As of now, I'm a part-time journalist. Might consider going full-time some point in the future. But first things first... for now it's all about doing a PhD!
