No, Asky just likes to put a yaoi spin on everything. It's clear that their hands are just supposed to both be forward, but one is behind the other, so the imprecise drawing makes it look like they're holding hands.

No, it was probably unintentional. Then again, it's not as if Konomi even draws all of SPoT anymore. His assistants draw a fair amount of it, such as that infamous panel, that had to be fixed in the volume release, of Rondo hitting Hiyoshi's hand and the point continuing.

In the manga, during the match against Miyako/Matsu, Shiraishi says that, "While a lot of people call you a seaweed headed bastard, I think your hair style's quite cool, Akaya-kun. You really must introduce me to your hair stylist."

So, basically, Shiraishi has expressed a desire, however jokingly it might be, to visit Akaya's hair salon.
