@KTS- what do you suggest? reading the manga or watching the anime?

deathnote? kung me bandwidth ka, movies then anime then manga, in increasing order of intelligence needed to understand... anime is quite faithful, almost wor for word.... manga kung wala kang bandwidth masyado....

besides the movie is best for those who hated the most disappointing plot development in the series...

I see 2rats as b@st@rds profiting from the hard work of the subbers. And now they are even selling manga by Edited Mangas from different groups. Plus, over priced pa sila most of the times.

gold plated ata mga dvd nila e! never gonna buy from them again! at the most dapat 50-60 lang ung dvd (plus mga 20 or so for profit and encoding time) kaso umaabot mga 80+! bumili ako KKM dati di pa pala tapos! langya akala ko kumpleto na kaya bumili ako, d man lang cnabi na d pa available ung huli!
bumili ka na lang ng dvd burner, blanks at broadband! mas makakatipid ka pa!

Alam mo ba na I watched a fansub of Flame of Recca before nung di pa uso yung mga DVD sa Quiapo. Puro VCD pa lang sa Quiapo nuon. And meron akong nakitang message duon sa intro.

Not the exact message but 2rats and Filbars are mentioned there. Kahit naman yung mga nasa Quiapo din, galing din naman sa Torrents, IRC's at DDL yung mga yun e. Complied lang tapos burn, vend, profit na agad. Much like how 2rats was and is doing.

At least sa Quiapo, mura. E sa kanila, ang mahal ng isang CD. Before, at least 4 years ago, Php 150per CD nila. Per CD ha! Hindi DVD! And to think na ang puhunan lang nila duon ay DSL connection, CD burners and Blank CD's na ang common price lang nuon ay Php 50.

That's why I condemn them.
Tapos pati manga ngayon, nagbebenta sila. AMP naman.

I saw a copy of that in Quiapo (Quiapo boy ako e ) but never tried it. I'd like to wait for it. Alam ko na din naman yung story. I just wanted to see how the movie is adapted.

well u have also to take into account the re-encoding to a standalone player format. took me 18 hours to convert and burn to dvd some 20 pr0n video files from avi. but 150 for a cd? ano un, platinum plated?

mas magaan ung story nya, with some merged characters and it's plot development is something "L" fans would love considering what happened in the manga before the timeskip na wala sa movie! hanggang dun na lang ung "spoilers". sorry if a bit too much.....

Well, yeah, the conversion takes time but once they are converted and you have a master copy, everything's easy.

Share ko lang, I just watched Battle Royale. (Ang loser ko ngayon ko lang napanood T_T). I was warned that it was overrated, but I figured, anong klaseng fangirl ako pag di ko napanood to? La lang. Crush ko yung guy, that I immediately identified as the one who played Raito-kun. Tama diba?

Anyway, anybody here fans of Ueno Juri? The one in Swing girls, the eldest kid in Engine, and Noda in Nodame Cantabile? La lang, type ko siya. Like Kirsten Dunst, yung di talaga strikingly beautiful but kinda grows on you.

Yeah si Raito-kun nga sya. Pero sobrang bata pa nya sa Battle Royale. Comment nga ng isa kong classmate, mukha daw syang anime
Anyway, about Battle Royale being overrated, I would say yes. Pero mas overrated yung Battle Royale II para sakin.

re: bought copies of anime

I never buy my anime from Quiapo nowadays. A few years ago siguro pwede pa coz I was using Dial up connection lang and my maximum HDD capacity was 30GB only. Ngayon kase, yung copies nila dun, salpak lang sila ng salpak e. di bale na na hindi sunod2x. Tapos and sagwa pa ng subtitles.

I only buy American series there pero parang ayaw ko na din.

I bought grey's anatomy and watched it...#&^%* kelangan ko pang tumabi sa speakers ng TV ko para lang marinig yung dialogues. Tapos yung isang episode, nasa kabilang DVD and yung kasunod nya nasa isa pang DVD. WTF! Mahirap bang magarrange ng episodes by number?

re: "strawhats" in quiapo
i'd rather invest in a good pc, dvd/hd, burner, and a high speed broadband kesa bumili ng dubious quality at mapagod sa pamimili at tawad sa vendor. at least sa una, mamimili ka lang sa net/torrent, dl and then wait kahit matagal dahil mas me kontrol ka sa content and quality.....

hehe nasanay ka lang na may subs! ganun talaga. ako nga din pag nanonood ng english series ngayon full volume talaga kasi walang subs! Tapos may one time pa nanood ako ng english din with my sister (JDrama addict) tapos nagtinginan kami kasi di namin naintindihan. Our faces were like "where are the subs?" Tapos saka lang nagregister na di pala jap yung pinapanood namin!

Which reminds me- I need to clean my room too! Halos wala na akong maapakang sahig kasi puno ng damit na nakakalat. Kaya ako laging late for school kasi yung mga school stuff ko buried underneath, tapos kinakalkal ko pa! hehehe. I'll take a pic of it sometime just for fun. Actually, nagsubmit yung sis ko ng pic of my room sa dirtiest room contest. FYI, may mas matindi pa pala haha.
