What inspired you to try translating?
What got you interested in Japanese?
Do you read anything other than dgrayman?
Any future series you planning on translating/reading?

Hey <333

No questions yet.. Just wanna say thanx for all the DGM translations ^^
Hope you keep up the good work and continue to translate DGM for us

[Lacy]

What inspired you to try translating?
Hm, not sure. I started taking Japanese classes at school because of my interest in anime (which is a lame reason). But I love learning the language, and I wanted to try my hand at translating my favorite series.

What got you interested in Japanese?
Haha, as above, I was (still am) really into in anime. I was at that point where you know a few simple phrases from hearing it so often ^^; So when I got my chance to start learning Japanese, I took it.

Do you read anything other than dgrayman?
I read Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and I occasionally read Bleach, One Piece, xxxHolic, and some more. But with RL and all I tend to only focus on my main 2 favs >.> I watch quite a bit of anime though, Code Geass, Naruto, Nodame Cantabile etc.

Any future series you planning on translating/reading?
I'm in the middle of translating the first chapter of this new monthly series, Highend. Other than that nothing. If something ends up making me interested enough, who knows, maybe I'll start translating more. But I think improving my Japanese comes before translating more series ^^

Thanks for the encouragement! I'll try to keep translating DGM (and not flake off >.>).

Whats you favourite DGM char and was your favourite scene in DGM so far ?

[Lacy]

Whats you favourite DGM char and was your favourite scene in DGM so far ?

Favorite character is Lavi <333 Then everyone else comes second.

My favorite scene... um, there's a few >.>;;

Spoiler

Tyki 'killing' Allen in China, Lavi getting angry after Allen stays in China, Allen getting Crown Clown and now basically the entire chapter 112 involving Allen and Tyki >.> haha, Allen gets all the badass scenes~

[destinator]

Loved the scene too when he got into Crown Clown <3

What got you interested in DGM and are you reading it from the start or where did you get into it ?

[Lacy]

Oh man, I can't remember exactly now @__@ Uhhmm, I think I was just randomly downloading manga to read. There was only 10-15 chapters out in English then, maybe. I read the first chapter then thought, "Hey, this is actually pretty good!". I liked D.Gray from the start :3 I was very happy when Hoshino-sensei recovered and started drawing again, now she's doing crazy things with black and white contrast.

[destinator]

Wow really ? I have to admit that when I started reading DGM the story wasnt that interesting but the art totally hooked me up. Its still one of the main reasons why I like DGM. I like this dark and crazy flair of the manga. Sometimes it was so crazy that you had problems to actually notice whats going on right now xD.

So yeah why do you like DGM so much (or what to you like the most about it o.o)?

Rawr, good question ^^ It makes me think XD

- I love the art and how it has evolved. It has a unique gothic feel which is awesome. And like I said, how she uses black and white right now is fantastic.
- The characters. Hoshino-sensei's character's can't be hated (with exception of Kanda to most people. I still like him XD), and it's good when she shows other sides of them.
- The way the story is told. If I enjoy it, it's all good XD

And maybe the way Hoshino-sensei tells the story is more... 'womanly'? I don't know, it feels like D.Gray deals with emotions more than the battles than, say, Bleach does.

Somehow I feel like really liking this thread <333

[Lacy]

Eerrr, I can't remember many pokemon XDD Lessee~

...You are an Arcanine! I like the fire types.

[bax]

Arcanine?

Fiery stuff <33 Sounds hot

[Morri]

Maybe this was asked already, but how long have you been learning Japanese?

[Lacy]

Not long enough T^T 4 years. That's why there's always those horrible // in my translations >.>;;

...I'll keep doing my best! @__@
