Corocoro reveals that we're getting a new feature called "Mega Evolutions", that causes a pokemon to transform in battle into a new appearances. Abilities, stats, and even type changes. Currently, MegaBlaziken (Speed Boost), MegaAbsol (Magic Bounce), MegaMawile (Huge Power and is Steel/Fairy along with normal Mawile), MegaMewtwo (Insomnia), MegaLucario (Adaptability) and MegaAmpharos (Mold Breaker and becomes Electric/Dragon) have been revealed.

Koruni is a gym leader and holds the key to understanding Mega Evolutions.

Also, three new pokemon are revealed: Gogoat's prevolution Meekuru, the Normal-type rabbit Horubii, and the Electric/Fairy Dedenne.

umm not digging this mega evolution thing. Pokemon had already become way too complicated. It getting harder and harder to train a perfect pokemon with EV training, right moveset, ability, nature. >___< Ya trying to catch a rare pokemon with the right ability and nature >___< urghhh (much less catching legendary)...

I wouldn't say the Megaevolutions are complicating things if the current understanding is correct. From the way it's spoken about, it's basically just a forme change, something we already had around since the fourth generation.

Have you tried the Synchronize trick to get the right nature? Catching a bunch of Natu/Munna early on made it real easy for me to nearly always end up with the best nature. Though that does mean setting aside time to actually catch pokemon instead of merely catching them on the fly. Even legendaries aren't that complicated as long as you prepare beforehand. IVs are the only real bitch.

Finishing the game is easy, catching all of them is easy.
But ya, I am way too neurotic about this stuffs. I used to have so much more fun when I didn't know how to play the game the right way lol.

Never really had trouble finding the right ability, though that can simply be due to the specific pokemon I go after. Breeding is a breeze, and aside from my Shinx in SS, I really haven't cared about trying to get breeding only moves since any useful moves can simply be gotten from a tutor.

I'm just loving the designs of the MegaEvolutions.

And now we got two new methods to EV train, Super Training and Core Training: Super Training involves some minigames that you play, and Core Training involves the "Training Bags" you receive after playing the Super Training that you can have your pokemon use to increase their EVs. Core Training also allows you to see your pokemon's actual EVs.

The CoroCoro due next month will feature new pokémon, new MegaEvolutions and type chart featuring Fairy-type.

I was sceptic at first of this megaevo, but looking at the designs of the pokemon (especially Absol who is so sick XD) I am already in love with it.
Still I do not want to fight a motherfucking megahydreigon!
About the rest, the new are good, but the design of the rabbit is way too simple..
As for the new training facility, I am happy that we will be able to see in a tangible way the EVs of out pokemon.
Man, I want to play this game so badly..

I hope Mega Mewtwo actually gets stronger than Arceus. Otherwise, that form sucks. Mega Absol looks good though.

So it appears you will only be allowed to have one MegaEvolution on your team. That makes it seems as if they are quite powerful game-wise.

Anyway the ability of megakangashkan is parental bond which allows him to attack twice in the same turn.

cant wait to see what the other starter mega evolutions looks like , charizard probably gonna be the first of ashs pokemon to get a mega evolution in the anime , if not its pikachu

Spoiler: Info from the Pokemon XY demo from Serebii

During the Pokémon Game Show, it was shown thanks to a picture from a Twitter user, that the method of Mega Evolution is through a simple button in the attack interface when your Pokémon has the Mega Stone attached to it. In the demo, you also ride on a Skiddo in a route and seen riding a Rhyhorn. In it, you also battle Professor Sycamore, where you use Mega Evolution, and battle Shauna & the other playable character. Fennekin has the moves Psybeam, Flame Charge, Fire Spin and Tail Whip. The Mega Evolution battle has you face off against Chandelure, Dragonite and Crobat with Mega Mewtwo. Helioptile has Tail Whip, Thundershock, Quick Attack & Parabolic Charge. Sylveon has Swift, Quick Attack, Fairy Wind & Tail Whip. Froakie has Water Pulse, Quick Attack, Lick and Round.
In the demo, you start off with Alexa telling you to go see Professor Sycamore. On your way there, you battle the rival, with a time limit. Once you get to Professor Sycamore, he will give you Mewtwo and teach you about Mega Evolution, which is just done by a tap of a button with a move the same turn, and he'll then battle you. After the battle, a video runs of the game. It is also said that running is default due to the analogue stick, with you having to press the B Button to walk
03:53: In the Pokémon Amie feature, there are three stats listed for your Pokémon. Friendliness, Hunger and Play. It's currently unclear whether these features affect gameplay. The sweets you obtain for it are called Pofure.
04:00: As always, there are also Pokémon on the field, and the character kneels down to encounter them

Edit @ 08:00: Some minor more demo details have come. First, it appears Mega Mewtwo doesn't have an increase in Hit Points. Also, non-Kalos Pokémon such as Skitty and Exeggutor make an appearance in the overworld. Fairy-type moves are also not very effective on Fire-type Pokémon

And there's gonna be an anime special/new series based directly on the original games, and features Red and Green.

^Yep, it called Pocket Monsters: The Origin. It is set in the first generation era.

Oh, someone noticed this screenshot and people think it may be a new game since they don't recognize it from anywhere else.

Red looks weird though. I do understand that they had to alter the look somehow to distinguish him from Ash, but this version looks super weird. They didn't change much Green/Blue from Gary, which makes it even more weird, like the one is still the old character and other a brand new one.

Red does look weird, but I'm pretty sure the reason he looks weird to me is because I so used to Ash/Red from Adventures, and he's so different and "normal". It's the hair, I believe.

Since gen 3 the designs of Rock Pkm went pretty downhill, if you ask me.

This gen could change your opinion, but at the moment it is hard to say it.
In any case there are some rock typed pokemon that I like in gen 4 and 5, such as Gigalith and Bastiodon.
But that is my opinion.
