Rave Master is something I've wanted to read for many years; mainly because a lot of Fairy Tail members mention it in comparison to the former series. There's been a few crossover stuff done with both series and a lot of Rave characters have appeared in FT, so I'm aware of that at least.

"Shit's about to hit the fan" :XD yeah, that. Looking forward to seeing what Hellbram's powers are. BTW, is it me or is a large of disguises involved in the series so far? Just something I'd thought of now....

For me, I think I'd have to agree and say that it'll be a little while longer before they find the next Sin, everyone's bet is on it being Merlin. The mangaka surprise us with that, I dunno. She seems like a real piece of work though. Gowther is strange because his face is not shown even on the posters; I wonder what's up with that.
I wouldn't also say that I care a lot about the Knights, the only one that pleases me so far is Hauser. I detest Gilthunder; what a prick. The rest are just standard characters, though with good abilities and whatever else they bring to the story.

I'm not sure I "love" shounen, the majority of my reads are that genre but that's mostly just because of what I started out reading than anything else. I'll give those series a look then, in particular Ueki.

Nah, but I think we spoke about it before and Maz also told me to read it. How far are you with it?
Yeah, Fairy Tail had some crossover stuff with several series, with Rave it had a manga and anime crossover, if I'm right.

Merlin seems the most obvious yeah, it's been somewhat hinted and they showed the most of her, Hellbram's power might be interesting, I hope, the other Holy Knights have been rather generic. Calling Gilthunder a prick is a bit too harsh, he probably had a troubled childhood. :teehee Gowther is still a mystery, but I'm trying not to think to much of him/her/it, I want to be surprised no matter what.

Hmm, go for Ueki then, it's rather short for a 'long' series. Only 154 chapters if I'm correct. I'm not sure if we talked about SnS before though. I can't recall that. I caught up with it a while ago (ch28 if I'm correct), just read the latest chapters (I was behind), now we're at 37 and some important stuff is going to happen. So I'm looking forward to that.

I even wrote down some of the ingredients and recipes to see if I can do that shit too, which probably will be the case, I'm a good cook. :hip
Although I doubt I could get the same reactions Souma and the others are getting. :(

I just now started Mahou Sensei Negima!.

I did once before, a long time ago, but I barely remember where I put it on-hold, so a restart is in place. I remember really enjoying it.

The one with cachaça and red apple juice is so strong. I thought it was like smirnoff ice, just 4% of alcohol. But it has 30%!!! :cookiearf

I'm not used to such strong drink!:faint

*drinks more* :oooh
It's burningggggggggggggggggggg.
I think i'll make caipirinha with the rest of it tomorrow or a cocktail with kiwi.

Yes, both manga and anime; there's actually an anime crossover that just came out last month or so. But since I don't really watch the anime, I'm only really aware of the manga crossovers and the many references they include. Rave fans are quick to notice and point those out as either Mashima's lack of creativity or something quite cool to give a nod to. :amuse

Okay, prick was kinda harsh but he seems stuck up to a certain point; especially at the beginning. Later you realise he's not useless but actually knows a few things within the Holy Knights camp. He definitely had a difficult childhood(:derp), which actually makes you feel some sympathy once you realise it.

154 chapters for a series is not THAT much; I would say. But saying that, Toriko has pretty much the same number of chapters and I can't bring myself to read it. Only stuck at the first volume, which was last year :XD.

I've seen some pics of Shougeki, when the characters react to the food; it's what makes me want to read it. It's so over the top and looks funny. Let me know how all those recipes turn out for you. :nod.

Negima, I read the first volume too; many years back but sorta just dropped. It's completed now right? where are you with that?

Ahhh I completely forgot this whole time that the Smirnoff you had was Ice and not Vodka. :XD What did you the cachaca with?

:rofl
How much of the bottle is left?
I've heard caipirinha with kiwi is supposed to be best; but I've only had them with berries and I had this really awesome passion fruit caipirinha. Man, that rocked.

Yeah, there's a lot of fun references put together. I didn't know the anime version was out though, have to keep my eye on that.
But I thought you were watching anime on some kind of regular basis? Do you still plan on watching the City Hunter series and movies?

Since I've joined BakaBT (a few months ago), I really binge-watched a lot of anime. Most of them are 80s/90s (and some even older) anime that I've missed or never heard of and man, I love that shit. Most of it has really poor quality, even for that time-period, but I love that shit. It's fun too see how the 80s contain a lot of space travel and mecha, while the 90s were more action-packed adventure/slice of life series. And all of those big franchises are fucking awesome.

I picked up Digimon Savers again, since I stopped watching that somewhere in the middle all those years ago. It's quality is surprisingly low, if you look at animation and especially the work of the voice actor. I guess I was too enthusiastic about a new Digimon season back then to notice.. And I'm watching Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) weekly, but the first season is just 2 episodes away of ending. It's just as great as it's manga.

154 is definitely not much, looking at good shounen standards, Toriko has 247 out now, which is a bit more obviously and that's the sort of long that sometimes turns me off too (just think about Hajime no Ippo now, 1027, :derp ) But I pick up series a lot longer from time to time too, with the latest additions being, Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru (500), Doraemon (821), InuYasha (558) and Osu!! Karate Bu (483).

These days I tend to drop a lot of series (no matter what form), which I never did, when I started something, I continued, no matter what. I just start reading (not watching) something no matter it's size. But when I think it doesn't deserve that much attention from me, I drop it. But sometimes there are some great (KSKM or InuYasha) manga's that you find.

Shougeki has some fun reactions to food alright, although most of them look 'orgasmic'. There isn't much variation, if you compare it to other cooking manga's that do that too. But it's still a lot of fun, Shougeki has some fanservice too, of course, but it deals really well with it and it has some nice characters for that too.

I just started again with Negima, I only read two chapters last night, then I realized it was half past 4 in the morning and well.. I needed some sleep I guess. Got another day off today, so I'll read a bit more today, I think I read at least 5 or 6 volumes the first time, if not more. I read a whole fighting tournament and I stopped after that, seems like a long way to go, but maybe that's just in my memory.

I remembered I dropped it (because it was too long (±200 out then, and still on-going :p )) and planned on watching the anime instead, since I watched a lot of anime back then, something I quickly didn't do anymore.

No chaser?! You are a brave girl :worship
Cachaça is drank pure mainly in simple bars (street bars), but in small doses served in those small glasses.
Caipirinha and cocktail are more for dance clubs or shopping centers or restaurants.

But as i said, i thought it was like Smirnoff Ice at first.
Usually i can only drink one dose of cachaça pure. And i only like the ones with jabuticaba inside (the bottle comes with a whole fruit inside).

Jabuticaba:

Yeah, just check the anime thread in the FT section, or there should be a seperate thread for the FTxRave crossover. I've seen a few series and anime film so far; just check my MAL.

I want to watch City Hunter still but not bothered to fix my ratio; seems too much work to do so and I can't be arsed. Though I really need to.... What animes have you been watching?

Digimon? really? :huh Nah, I'm not watching that and I didn't even know there were more seasons of Digimon. I've had Silver Spoon manga on my reading list and will make my way to it "soon"(:derp)
When I do eventually fix my BakaBT account, I need to watch some Kenshin OVAs that Nana recommended, since I've not seen/read it.

Usually the number of chapters really puts me off reading but depends on how impressive a recommendation I get from friends and others, which may sway me. The only thing I've dropped so far is Minami; I was just struggling to watch it, so I decided to leave it for a bit.

Fan service and food should go hand in hand :nod

Maybe reading by arcs is better if you're picking up something that is long gone/finished or has a high number of chapters.

I'm still not watching a lot of anime lately; just a few.

i drank it pure. :XD

there is still half of it, so i can make two glasses, since i don't like it strong.
Go Asky :cheerbunny

Yep yep, I had been trying to find videos of the first episode that aired at Comic-con but no such longer.

That's even more reason to have a cold drink, don't you think? :yodawg. Tomorrow for sure, you must :nod.

I plan on making pizza for Bob, if he really comes to Fortaleza (and if Agrias also comes and allow me to use her kitchen).

Well, I hope to tag along as well... if things work out. Hmm.... one of those multi flavor Brazilian pizzas.
I think someone shared a pic before with some crazy toppings...

Cachaça is almost unknown in the states, caipirinha is not particularly well known either. There is a rum bar near my house that serves caipirinha, but it's a new place I have not had a chance (or the money) to go to yet.

I usually have caipirinha when I go to Fogo de Chao, as well as trying them in a few places here and there. Some places make them with white rum instead of cachaça, and while still good, it just isn't the same and obviously isn't authentic.
