But is it truly way too soon? By even next spring, based on the plot, thered be enough content for a 26 episode anime.
Soon? it's not a question of being soon or not, World Trigger is not really popular, not even sells good, has a totally uncertain future in Shonen Jump like other bunch of mangas more popular that died with a little more than 1 year of serialization.

Fast anime adaptation happens with Nisekoi and Haikyuu because they are really popular and sells very good, and will happens with Souma and Ansatsu in some moment.

A classroom full of kids learning to kill in a country that's plagued by school massacres. No it certainly had no big chances to begin with to reach any big masses.
Western World does not consist only of the US. It's French public, Sharkbait and myself were talking about.

Just getting a good reception in Jump will lead WT to get more popular. I think WT has no problem to reach same popularity as Sket Dance and Medaka Box.
I don't consider World Trigger reception good. Good reception is Shokugeki no Soma, Haikyuu!! and Nisekoi (Assassination Classroom is a monster), World Trigger only survived because this year was weak of good series, its rankings in the begining was not that good only getting better currently. Its destiny is uncertain as I said. We have to be realistic, we already saw series more popular than WT cancelled after one year or so.

If it can't get much popularity in the second biggest manga market the hopes to reach some bigger fandom here seems little to not possible. :( Does it get enough promotion at least?

Yes, it is uncertain. But, it is also too early to consider that WT will going to end soon or not. As I said million times, if we have to be realistic, we should actually discuss about whether WT will end or not when it actually stayed in bottom 5 for multiple weeks.

Plus, based on the current flow, I don't think 2014 will be good either since there is absolutely no room for new series to get popular. The only way for the upcoming new series to do well is to end one of old series.

So, the French public does not fond of AC?
Not as much as Japanese do it seems.

I don't look that much but from what I saw Kana made a good promotion, in particular during the conventions. It will be in the launch of the new digital platform that will be out on the 22th November. I may be tempted buying it under that form.

I dont know they have a series right under their nose thats ready to take off as a new flagship title in JUMP, all they need to do is replace Kurokuroku with DRUMP and 2014 will be off to an excellent start.

Well, it depends how Nisekoi, Haikyuu, AC, and Souma going to do after the animation.

Plus, I'm not really too sure if Drump actually going to be serialized; plus, even if Drump become serialized, I think it will most likely going to be serialized in either V Jump or Saikyou Jump, not Shounen Jump.

To judge the popularity of a manga I use this site.

http://www.manga-sanctuary.com/bdd/manga/13309-assassination-classroom/

It's like a french MAL but it's more manga oriented.

Here his a little summarize:
One Piece: 3rd
Hunter x Hunter: 14th
Naruto: 2nd
Bleach: 6th
Gintama: 278th
Toriko: 295th
Kuroko no Basket: 295th
Beelzebub: 104th
Nisekoi: 1214th
Assassination Classroom: 884th

the rest of the ranking
http://www.manga-sanctuary.com/popularite.php

The main problem with that website is that the average age of the site is at around 25 years old. But that the more accurate data I know about the french market.

We see that Assassination Classroom is more popular than Nisekoi even if Nisekoi was release a month before Assassination Classroom in France.

Now that you mention that, I have to agree. There really is no room left for new series to get popular, let alone survive over 20 chapters.

Looking at all the stable series at WSJ we have at the moment and the years they started, we have:

1976: Kochikame
1997: One Piece
1999: Naruto
2001: Bleach
2004: Gintama
2008: Toriko
2009: Kuroko, Beelzebub
2011: Nisekoi
2012: Haikyu, Kusuo Saiki, AC, Soma
2013: WT, SC, Isobe

So that's 16 series with stable positions on the ToC. I presume that leaves about 4 spaces open on the magazine. That's as minimum the number of open slots it can get: 2 each for series to debut and series about to get cancelled.

2012 has been one of the best years WSJ has ever had in terms of new successes, with 4 of them easily becoming strongholds on the magazine: Haikyu, Kusuo Saiki, AC, and Soma. This is further augmented by Nisekoi serializing a few weeks earlier, moderate but survivable hits WT and SC serializing a few months later, and of course, Isobe. In return, we've seen six major hits finish within this same time period from 2011 to the present: Bakuman, Inumarudashi, Nuramago, Reborn, Medaka Box and Sket Dance.

Looking at the list above, there's a relative lack of popular series still surviving from before 2009 compared to all the number of hits we've been getting since late 2011 alone. At the same time, however, each and every one of these remaining older hits have a firm presence in the magazine, with no signs of disappearing anytime soon. Consequently, with a landslide of newer hits from recent years, and the relative lack of surviving hits from earlier years, they've also had the effect of taking up so many more slots on the magazine than can be replenished by long-running series getting cancelled.

In other words, any new series that is going to debut within the next several months is going to face competition so severe, it's going to have a much higher chance getting cancelled in under 20 chapters than surviving for even 50. For the latter to happen, a new series must, MUST oust a current series from the magazine, and neither of these 16 seem to be going anytime soon.

From what I can tell, the closest of the stable 16 series people seem to agree are about to finish soon are Naruto, Bleach and Beelzebub, but I don't think it's going to happen within the next few months. And what if Hunter x Hunter returns?

Still, ignoring all the series that bomb after the first 7-8 chapters, WT and SC seem to be the weakest links of WSJ at the moment, so there might be some merit in discussing the two series.

To summarize: After such a high turnover rate of stable series on Weekly Shonen Jump these past few years, 2014 will see it plummet hard, making it potentially one of the worst years for new hits to come out on the magazine.

I don't think Bleach going to end soon. Even it is in final arc, I think this story still can go couple of more years; so, I think we should still see Bleach for a while.

Not sure about Beelzebub, but there is a high possibility that Naruto going to end on next year.

Well, if Naruto is the only series that has a chance of ending next year, that only frees up one slot at most for series in 2014 to fight for.

Overall, the turnover rate of stable series on Weekly Shonen Jump is definitely about to plummet, thus leaving 2014 to be potentially one of the worst years for new hits to come out on the magazine.

Well, depends on when Naruto going to end, 2014 going to be either a repetition of 2010 or have at least one successful series.

I highly doubt Bleach has 'another couple of years'. Sure, it's in it's final phase and it's not going to end soon, but I highly doubt it's going to see 2015.

That means you think Bleach going to end within 2014; I highly doubt Bleach going to end within like next 50 chapters.

Really? I thought it was actually proceeding fast enough to finish in the first quarter of 2014. Naruto is the one I dont see ending in 2014.

Even it is pretty fast pacing, it is no way Bleach going to end within next 50 chapters. Based on Kubo's writing style, he can easily write for couple of more years.

Really? Naruto is definitely near the climax right now.

The pacing for this arc is going all kinds of directions, my expectations are indeed that it'll end in 2014.

The captains are fighting back with their bankai's, after those fights you have a main fight or two, including Ichigo's, some jibber-jabber about the plot and.. the end?

Really? Naruto is definitely near the climax right now.
So is Bleach? The only reason I see Bleach continuing outside of '14 is if they decide to not end two of their biggest series around the same time.

And Naruto's plot stops, Bleach could stretch it out, Kubo's good with that.

kubo already said bleach will go on for several years and jump will give him free reign. bleach may be declining but is even now one of the bestsellers only comparable with just another few. especially since naruto will end in the next while and take a huge portion away. jump tries to get its bestsellers going on for as long as they can. don't think he will rush through the end with some mere fights. you can expect a stretched out arc with new enemies arriving constantly. like what kishi did in the war. thats just one possibility for kubo to stretch the shit out of it for 200 more chapters.
