Disappointed with support only Hinata Shoyou, playable would have made me import.
okay, sure, but how would that even work? Just have all his attacks be ball-based? Sports characters being playable in action games, save fighting-based sports, is just plain difficult to pull off, if even worth it at all

I hope beelzebub going out in colour halts fans suggesting that the series was axed. Easily one of the most annoying things in the fandom.

The downfall of both hachi and iron knight (unless it improves in the next sevenish weeks) suggest that apocalyltic type scenario doesnt work well (towns being destroyed in first three chapters). Its a nice setpiece but I find it odd that done at the hands of two different writers it didnt work. Wonder if a third will try this year.

It was totally axed. Don't get me wrong, it's going out well, and with the respect it deserves from the publishers, but you're kidding yourself if you think it would have ended at this point even if it weren't massively underperforming in the magazine. It's sad, but true. And obvious.

It will not, probably. Nurarihyon no Mago got 3 chapters in Jump Next! to finish and even so they say that NuraMago was cancelled yet.

Nisekoi getting 3rd place is great after all this time, it is not anime reflex, though. Looking forward to see if the anime will have any influence.
Gintama really improved in the last weeks. Besides, very normal TOC and with the cancellations there is less things to talk about. XD
Nice cover from iShoujo.

So will 3 series finish instead of 4?

odds are still good for four, but we have no confirmation one way or the other. Still, I wouldn't hold your breath for Iron Knight living much longer, whether it's this round or a bit further down the line.

Beelzebub was definitely axed. This final arc and battle was just so rushed. If only it did better it would have stayed on.
iShoujo looks alright. My strong opinion is that it won't last. Have to wait and see.

I'm gonna say 3. Beelzebub would probably be the last one from this round.

The colour doesn't really... say anything in regards to that? It doesn't change how rushed the final act was, along with evidence that it hss been ranking horribly lately, implying that this must have gotten axed prematurely.

If it truly was axed, then I cant imagine why they would give it a colour page for its potential final chapter. Didnt seem like its common occurrence for series to end with colour page. The writer already displayed that he typically does rush his story events so it seems hard to say based on that fact alone.

you're being kinda stubborn. There's a huge difference between any given series being cancelled and Beelzebub being cancelled. It's underperformed for a long time, as you'd expect for a cancelled title, but it's still a long-running title that spawned an anime, has had three novels, high sales, et cetera et cetera. Even when cancelled, something of that calibre deserves the same treatment other such titles like any other recent concluding hit has had. Medaka Box, Nura... Heck, even Magico and Enigma got colour pages for their finales in Jump NEXT. It's not a rare occurence at all.

It is normal for series which run for pretty long time and get the anime ends with the color page.

I dont really think its being stubborn as its been a learning experience as I didnt know all those series (well except Nura) had finished in Jump NEXT.
Additionally, for all we know, the writer of Beelzebub just wanted to end it and move on.

That doesn't really explain your reason Beelzebub shouldn't get the color page on its final chapter. Plus, I don't really think Tamura wanted to end Beelzebub, more like the editors end the series.

I think the distinction is it is leaving with color pages and some fanfare, an honor few canceled series are provided.

Beelzebub probably did not end on the authors terms, but a distinction should be made between Beelzebub and a series like Hachi. I think that these things are too often treated as binary systems here, good or bad, true or false, canceled or successful, free of any context. There is a difference between series like Belezebub, Mago, and Medaka Box that lasted four or five years, received anime, and ended with some degree of fanfare, and series like Hachi or Koi no Cupid, simply terminated after three or four months.

I guess there's something about calling a series "cancelled" that makes it sound like it would have never ended otherwise. I still think Beelzebub was on its way out, and the ending got expedited by the cancellation round.

I don't know why but sometime last year I was thinking "yep, this is the final arc. It'll probably end with Fuji." So to me, as much as its pretty obvious Beelzebub got cancelled, I also think the author was planning on exiting anyway. I mean, I even wanted to resist calling it cancelled because it just made so much sense he would end with Fuji, consistency and continuity be damned. But being cancelled is probably more accurate to call it.

But yeah, a popular long running series is going to get colorpages for its final chapter. I don't know why the spoiler dude didn't label it as the last chapter, but it totally is. I don't know what Mago's exception was, but the extra chapters in Jump NEXT was probably to fill up the volume.

Edit: I agree with Kaiten completely. I also think a lot of Beelzebub's fandom from this part of the woods (non Japanese, Edited Manga readers) really don't get it was a popular series and it did well for what it was. If Beelzebub wasn't considered a success it would have been cancelled a long, long time ago.

Enlarged, the lead of stealth symphony has an actually good outfit/footwear and with the cute mask too, would be fun cosplay and fanart source.

The color page doesn't outright prove anything about why Beelzebub ended. It could have easily (and likely) been cancelled and just given the color page as a courtesy for how long it ran.

Based on the color page, I think I Shoujo going to have ten different stories.
