What's there not to like about AssClass? It's one of the most entertaining manga in the industry right now.

And what's that nonsensical statement about sheep? Oo Are you trying to play off entertaining and series as mainstream just because it wasn't to your liking?

I would like you to elaborate on the 'many boring' arcs in OP is possible.

What is not to like on AssClass? it was boring, and the humor didn't do it for me. Not entertaining at all.

I tend to read people only reading what runs in WSJ, I barely read anything from this magazine.. as I find better elsewhere. People follow what they know about, or what others are reading, that's what I meant.

Clear on my mind is the Fishman arc, that's the one I can elaborate with my limited English capacities. The plot in the arc was in itself quite boring, the villain was uninterested, the motivation was already seen before. And it had a big problem, it was endless.. dragged out like crazy.

One piece = peerless, but now flawless. Love it, now and forever, even on its off weeks
Gintama = A lesson in craft, more so a lesson on making wordiness work in comics. Love it.
Naruto = Considering it was terrible for the first volume or so, it's rarely missed a beat in the years since. Blows my mind, even when it's corny/dumb.
The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays: Another weak one that grew into a legend. I've not paid attention of late, but I love it
Assassination Classroom: Excellent, and forever deserving of its success
Toriko = Kinda builds on itself in dumb ways, but each expansion of its universe only improves on the foundations. Love it.
Nisekoi = Never as good as its first year, but still a phenomenal example of a romantic comedy in Jump
Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma = One of the prettiest series in Jump, and it only improves with time.
Isobe Isobee Monogatari ~Ukiyo-e is difficult~ = Super funny, and uses its art and setting to great effect.
Haikyuu!! = Scratchy, beautiful goodness that has really achieved its peak since it introduced Hitoka.
The Disaster of PSI Saiki Kusuo = one of the funniest gag manga I've read in a good long while.
World Trigger = Struggles to be greater than average, but it's still worth paying attention to all the time
Illegal Rare = No strong feelings
Soul Catcher(S) = not long for the world, but it's delightfully experimental. Wish the main character was better designed.
Bleach = I like it more now than I have in a long time, but it's still lacking compared to that raw, punky first year.
iShoujo = excellent anthology-style series that'll never do as well as it deserves in Jump
Kochikame = GOAT
Stealth Symphony = Visually busy, over-written, and the end of the first chapter totally put me off it. Still reading because it's in ESJ, but it's a crying shame.
Tokyo Wonder Boys = Kinda super mediocre.

How far did you get into AssClass?

You are the one who did a BOLD statement just now. I will tell you the ones I liked:

-Impel Down Arc
-Sabaody Archipelago Arc
-Enies Lobby Arc
-Loguetown Arc

Well I mean everybody has different preferences. Popular series are popular because they meet the needs of a large amount of people but obviously not everyone. Hell, I hate nearly everything I encounter in all forms of media. Maybe that speaks negatively about me in some way but I like what I like as does everyone else.

That being said, down with the One Piece and Assassination Classroom hate

Fisherman Island was not that bad in my opinion, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is not one of the best, though.
Thriller Bark was the worst, I could pass through this only because I like One Piece very much.

ooh i like this idea, gives us some insight into our fellow thread-posters:.

One piece = Was epic at Alabasta, and Marineford, to Goa Kingdom, but now pretty bad. Many weeks I just skip to panels with Luffy or Zoro/Sanji, and thats it, only looking forward to Ace being revived, and some Sabo Luffy.
Gintama = Only follow the anime, but stuck at ep 31, wish it was more like Sket Dance, but will slowly continue. I wish it would pick up, Id like to like it for the plot and not just for pairings
Naruto = Best action manga in the lineup, my first anime and manga.
The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays: Great anime, will read if an s3 doesnt come by 2015.
Assassination Classroom: Anime when, perfection since the school exams and hotel arc.
Toriko = Really interesting world, but I hate the art, everyone is too bulky.
Nisekoi = Only reading cause its in english jump, and then only read panels with Raku, Shu, or Onodera else I skip them entirely.
Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma = Great cast, SoTaku forever!
Isobe Isobee Monogatari ~Ukiyo-e is difficult~ = Artstyle is too dated for me.
Haikyuu!! = Best sports series of all time (excluding Free!), best manga in Jump today. Perfect.
The Disaster of PSI Saiki Kusuo = Why is this so funny, best comedy, needs more DARK REUNION plots and Kaidou.
World Trigger = Glad to have a science fiction action series, great cast, great character designs that pleases. No issues.
Illegal Rare = Ugly art, too dark for Jump, and just really inappropriate for the magazine. I cant get into it at all.
Soul Catcher(S) = has the most unique art of jump and satisfies my school club stories and such, love the visual flare with the music.
Bleach = Hasnt been the same since the Arrancar saga, best art in all of action series, kind of needs to end or bring Grimmjow and Ulquiorra back at least.
iShoujo = Alright though not my type of romance, app idea is good concept.
Kochikame = dont read
Stealth Symphony = One of the best written lead characters and narratives in the magazine. Perfect blend of storytelling and action to make a unique entry in the underexplored fantasy area. One can tell it comes from a master of storytelling at each chapter.
Tokyo Wonder Boys = Why are the character designs so appealing, its like a dream come true.

One Piece: Really enjoyable to read and involving. Love the world and the characters.
Gintama: Don't read the manga, but really enjoyed the anime. The comedy clicks with me.
Naruto: Recently something of an excruciating read, week to week.
Kuroko: Enjoyed the beginning but fell off after a while.
Assassination Classroom: Haven't read it, but it looks delightfully goofy.
Toriko: Wasn't all that interested in it.
Nisekoi: Rather boring.
Shokugeki no Soma: Really enjoyable art and subject matter. My favorite of the newer series.
Isobe: Don't read.
Haikyuu!!: Am watching the anime, and really like the characters and energy.
The Disaster of PSI Saiki Kusuo: Don't read.
World Trigger: Don't read.
Illegal Rare: Blah.
Soul Catcher(S): Really like the ideas in this one, but don't exactly have high hopes for its success in this magazine.
Bleach: Much more enjoyable now than in recent years.

More or less. I don't like dropping things unless I'm completely indifferent about them. In Naruto's case, I do want to find out how it'll end, especially now since it might be reaching something of an end. And really, it hasn't gotten that bad for me until this recent arc.

I agree. And if the author goes on with KnB after the currently game, I can see it getting worse.. Too bad is hard to believe that author has the same courage as Inoue Takehiko. Well, I can't blame him.

I would even think the huge majority of long time readers has that attitude now. There is only that much deus ex machina and bad writing people can endure.

Is it bold when the huge majority of manga readers agree with my opinion? You certainly have read many, many volumes without actually liking the series it seems.

One Piece = MASTERPIECE - great characters, great world, great story
Naruto = never read
Bleach = never read
Gintama = sadly never read
Toriko = never read but the anime was okay, maybe i will reread the last arc of the anime and continue with the manga
Kuroko no Basket = i really like that one, i am more interested in sport × supernatural stuff than simply sport series itself
Nisekoi = was good until it got dragged out, now it is super cliché
Haikyuu = nice art but the story is bog-standard
Saiki Kusuo no PSInan = dropped this one because the Edited Manga was to slow
Assassination Classroom = grew on me but i don't like the longer arcs
Shokugeki no Soma = great art and characters, i really like the idea of a cooking battle manga
World Trigger = boring
Soul Catcher(S) = i really hate the art (bishounen) but i somehow like the story and the behavior of the characters
Isobe Isobee Monogatari = never read but highly interested in it
Illegal Rare = chapter 1 was good but it got worse with every chapter
iShoujo = nice art, nice story but this one will share the same fate as the other good rom-com series in jump i think (Koisome Momiji & Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa)
Stealth Symphony = the first chapter were a disaster but i still have (little) hope for it (because of its writer..)
Tokyo Wonder Boys = not interested

So after following the ToC for like 10 years, I finally learned to stop reading every new series and getting too invested. It's a lot to get into for me at the moment, and I haven't read a "new" series in a while. Unless it's from a returning author that I'm interested in. Other than that I tend to avoid things until it seems like they have a foothold.

What do you mean by "same courage as Inoue Takehiko" ?

The main reason Inoue ended Slam Dunk is that he thought it'll be impossible to create an arc more exciting than Sannou arc . He said it in Top Runner - a Japanese talk show. I highly doubt Tadatoshi Fujimaki will create some more exciting that he already has shown. The way he developed the story works very well in the short term but in the long term is harmful IMO. However KnB is a big success, so is hard to believe that author has courage to end the manga like Inoue did.
