for today: Iran, Argentinia (though seeing them lose would be nice, it won't be against Nigeria), France and Honduras (sorry Switzerland, but history is against you)
Definitely gonna wtch France match. Last time I missed part of it = instant regret. Will also watch Argentina for a while to see if Messi is über or not.

They won't ban Suarez for life though
They won't, yeah... but they totally should. He should be in jail tbh, if a boxer punches the other one before the bell rings (or after the fight) he gets charged for assault, what's so different in this maniac biting people?

What "thing"?
Asian teams can't dissapoint in a WC, as no one expects anything from them.

If it wasn't Nigeria I'd tell you to watch only the last 15 minutes, lol.

Suárez bite was well planned since long ago.
Jokes aside, it was certainly a plan. He waited till the refs were distracted to do the bite (something that is really hard to see already tbh) and expected Chiellini to react and get a red card.

Well I, for one, hoped that they could give better fight just like what happened in 2002. Even if you compare it with their performance in 2006 or 2010, this year their performance are just much worse. Do note that I wasn't trying to say that they could become the semifinalist, but I was hoping at least one of them could pass from group stage.

Not counting 2002, Japan has only won 2 matches in their entire WC history (both in 2010, also the only time they advanced to 2nd round outside of Japan). Like, seriously, they just suck, it is what it is.

Agree, but then again I wasn't implying they have to win every games in their group stage, just give me interesting matches. Considering that Japan has exported some relatively known names in the European league in recent years, honestly hoping that they could perform better isn't a hogwash, at least from my own perspective.

This is getting interesting, glad we are back to level again. Argentina did not pick up speed.

Nigeria keeper didn't even attempt to save that freekick goal... That would've been an easy save honestly. Great shot but Messi scored due to the Nigerian goalkeeper not doing his job. He thought it would go out so he didn't bother to stretch out his arm, rofl.

I hope Messi don't score again. He doesn't deserve to surpass Neymar so far as top scorer.

It was too fast there was no way to reach that ball.

Wtf are you talking about, how the hell is this easy?. And he did almost the exact same save 4 minutes before that and looked like a god.

Ok Messi, we need a 3rd one now.

I disagree. That was a completely saveable ball. The goalkeeper just walked, looking like he thought he was controlling the ball out of the goal, but then it went in. he didn't even stretch his arm and he was right beside the ball where it got in.

Argentina resting Messi or is he semi-struggling with something?

It was saveable, but it was far from easy. ¨Just stretching his arm¨ as you're saying clearly wouldn't had been enough.

Resting Messi, just in case.

Why, btw? One of his goals was the penalty against Croatia.

Well because people hype people based on the goals they score, most of all xD IMO Neymar has played incredible compared to Messi, whom has had a few "moments of brilliance" like people put it in the past two matches and saved Argentina. Silly really to talk about "unfair" in football, but still I feel like Neymar deserves more praise so far than Messi. He's been consistently good in all the matches, just getting better and better in every match, and "only" scored 3 goals. Messi's goals have all been good but still Neymar has done more IMO. Messi played a lot better this match too compared to other matches, plus scored twice, but I still think Neymar has delivered more.

OK maybe not easy, over-exaggeration, but still it's a classic case of the GK giving up too easily or misjudging IMO. I don't think it was "too fast" or that super hard to catch.

Alright thanks. Just wondering since I hadn't heard about any injuries or troubles. Good to know he's healthy and just being wisely rested.

Man Nigeria's GK has played amazingly this game with the exception of the 2nd Messi goal. Didn't see the first though. But he's had some very good saves.
