It is more because the absurd criteries that that "referee" used in that match. There are 100 fouls would need more yellow card than that and he didn't give. But, when Thiago Silva collides with the goalkeeper unintentionally (you guys know Thiago Silva very well, obviously he didn't do this on purpose), "it is a crime, yellow card for him!" *sarcasm*
The referee didn't know how to read the mood, as always in that match, and give a unnecessary yellow card. Mark foul was good enough.
Whether it's necessary or not isn't the point. Interfering with the keeper during a goal kick, not just when the keeper has the ball (there is a difference), is, by the book, a yellow card-worthy offense. I'm not saying it's right, but tell Thiago to not run into the keeper/ball during a goal kick.
The ref didn't book Neymar when Neymar charged way past where the wall was supposed to be during that free kick.
The point is that you need to deal with it and not whine about it. Other countries have had their captains suspended for huge matches before. Especially because of how Ballack missed out on the WC Final, this is sort of fair. Thiago Silva only has himself to blame, however. He's not a bad guy, or anything, but observing the rules of the game are important.

So? How does that change that Messi is the best atm
He's gotten to play more matches as well...
Did Messi have three or four in the group stages? I think it was four. Anyway, you were trying to discount when Messi was injured, so don't discount the fact that Ronaldo and Suarez were injured down the stretch in spring 2014.
