You are still the team with the most fouls. You can't deny that.

FIFA decided not punish Zuñiga and the referee because of that coward foul. They say to the referee to not give yellow cards and now this... Now it is clear: FIFA geezers are getting senile. :nod

FIFA acted correctly according to the rules in Zuniga's case, so I don't see any problem here.

There is still the factual decision rule. Just accept that... God damn it...

What rules? Which criteria they used to punish a bite (that didn't cause any consequence) and not punish and knee in the back with unecessary force that could put an end in a carrer? Pressure of the media, probably. We know very well what FIFA works...
Both cases were a disgrace for a tournament like the World Cup. Rules are the same for everybody and it was not the case now.

Anyway, it will not bring Neymar back. What is left is we win this. It turned a personal affair, a matter of honor.

If FIFA was doing it by the book, you wouldn't be busy organising a world cup. And Brasil would have been out of the competition a long time ago.

I thought that Germans were cold, but Germany team is funny, they're enjoying Brazil as much as possible. XD
Well, they have to enjoy their last days here. :3c

What do you mean?

It's called factual decision, like Skyguardian said. FIFA can't overrule the referee's decision. IIrc, the referee saw Zuniga's foul, gave Brazil a free kick and for whatever reason didn't book Zuniga. The key element here is that he saw what happened and acted the way he thought was right. This makes his decision final.

FIFA - Laws of the game - Law 5 - Page 25
The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play, including whether or not a goal is scored and the result of the match, are final.

The referee may only change a decision on realising that it is incorrect or, at his discretion, on the advice of an assistant referee or the fourth official, provided that he has not restarted play or terminated the match
FIFA can only act, if the referee missed what happened and there is no mention of it in the game report. That's also the difference between Suarez' case I assume.

Brasil was not ready to organize a world cup and constructions of infrastructures were delayed beyond reason. Plus, the economy of your country had more urgent matters than "organizing a world cup". If FIFA listened to his own rules, the WK would have been reassigned to someone else. That's a fact.
Then, if Brasil was not the host, I have it hard to believe that your team would have made it that far. This part is only interpretation of course but you're far from 2002 or 1994. Offensively, there is (was) mainly Neymar when there was Ronaldo,Ronaldhino,Rivaldo or Romario,Bebeto, the solid and underrated Dunga,Rai,... I hope for you that we will assist to the "Pat Ewing" effect but Germany is still the clear favourite.

Oh and when Hardy say that Brasil 1994 was not a great team, I answer "you're too young to remember". The Bebeto-Romario duo was one of the best to ever play a world cup. Period.

Not even Brazilians think it was a great team.

It was the first brasilian team playing in a realistic way instead of the real "joga bonito" that lasted until the 70s (and was completely useless in the 80s). That's why it is so much underrated. I don't even know why I'm discussing it with someone who was barely born at the time ...

I know everything you said, I live in Brazil. However, the problem is not money, we're the 6th biggest economy of the world, it is bad administration. Organize a World Cup is superfluous for any country because there is always something more important. The bad administration and corruption is our biggest problems, the delays were mostly because of this. South Africa was not that far from us, they aren't as rich as us, and even so FIFA gave them a WC, why not give to Brazil?
Even with the problems, everything is going smoothly and many renowned websites and newspapers is already saying that it was the best World Cup of all times. It was not perfect, but we gave a very good spectacle.

As for the rest, I refrain from commenting, it is interpretation after all.

Wow, sorry witness of the dinosaurs, I didn't know you were a football journalist when you were 10.

Fact is: "YOU WERE NOT READY IN TIME". You can interpret all you want and explain it like you want. South Africa did it (thanks the dutch administration behind it ...). You were supposed to deliver some stadiums at specific dates and you couldn't do it. And at that point, FIFA had every right to reassign the world cup and would have done it if they respected their own rules. That's a fact

It's still better than analysing a world cup for which you were at best in diapers ...

NB: Last response for today. Bye.

If transfer a World Cup remaining 1~2 years to its start were easy.... They could have the right to do it, but they are not crazy. In the end, FIFA decision was right, there are more compliments than complains so far.

Are you not reading what I am writing? Factual Decision rule!
The referee DIDN'T notice Suarez biting Chiellini so FIFA was allowed to punish him after looking at the replay.
The referee DID notice Zunigas attack and decided not to give him a card. The FIFA CAN'T go against the factual decision of the referee, if the guy already evaluated it.

Well honor would be 3rd place too like Germany 2006. Don't be greedy.

I'm actually rooting for an all European final. It would be amusing to see the big South American giants facing each other off for third place. :teehee

It would be even more amusing facing each other off in the final. It is the biggest rivalry of the soccer after all. :nod
