Indeed, I did :^)Haha you liked that one huh? :^)

= :^) ?Hmm, to me sounds like we don't disagree that much in terms of the characters. Mostly on Jintan really. Not much Anaru could've done. Everyone else moved on much more easily than Jintan did. I guess it does make some sense that he's still that far back. Maybe I interpreted it too strongly as him still being a dropout. He is indeed going to finish the class so seems like I overhyped that aspect. I agree Anaru should be more direct. My main point about their duo is that nothing has really happened. It seems strange to me that Anaru whom confessed rather abruptly in the series still hasn't done anything. I mean the second time should be way easier when Jintan already knows how she feels. But they do seem to hang out although with others at the same time, like the karaoke event, so it's not 100% bad. The rest of the characters we agreed on.Kinda the opposite opinion I had. The only stuff I agree with is the romance between Jintan and Anaru, but way more focused on Anaru. Who is the one who's always loved Jintan? Anaru, not the other way around. I'm not sure what you expected from Jintan. Okay so Menma is gone and now I'm a good boy and start to go to school owning like a boss. Maybe I have that opinion because of how much the human mind was part of my education training, emotional scars don't vanish that easily nor does behaviour change that fast. He basically was a shut-in before the Menma case, now he goes to school somewhat regularly and is able to finish the class, I call that quite the achievement. No way he can change that drastically just like that. He's on a good way, probably just doesn't know what he really wants to do yet. He never was in love with Anaru either, while he basically never got over Menma (only some short time ago). Don't expect him to do anything in that direction, he's too focused on his everyday life atm, and like I said needs to find his own goal. Anaru needs to be more straightforward, then again she's always been more of a coward. A kind coward but still. She should do more, that pretty much was the only complaint I had with the movie.
Agreed on Yukiatsu/Chiriko.
To me how often they actually meet is a bit of a mystery, they never defined it that clearly. Doesn't sound like it's too often but then again, they each have their own stuff to deal with. At least it seems like they really are close friends now and behave like that, best example was the convo between Anaru and Chiriko on the phone. To me it became especially apparent there that they all don't try to hide their true personality any longer, like they were freed from their shackles. If anything, that was the achievement they all gained from the encounter with Menma, besides rebuilding their friendship.
In any case, the movie was never supposed to show much progress, maybe you expected a bit too much from my words. I meant it in case regarding how they developed, something where we seem to mostly disagree xD All the important stuff was hinted at/shown glimpses of, so that already was more than I expected.
Didn't mind the flashbacks either, besides one time I think. Outside of that one I am enough of a fanboy to enjoy/drown in the sad moments again. Like I said, I cried again when they parted with each other and Menma was writing those messages for them etc.![]()
So I got what I wanted (minus Anaru/Jintan romance/development) and am pleased with the movie.

= :^) ?Well yeah, I'm with you :^) Though Anaru didn't really "confess", it was more like hinting at it heavily without ever saying it clearly. Like I said too much else happened and changed in Jintan's life, so if someone needs to make a move it's Anaru. I guess they didn't have the balls to give us something substantial lol, but I agree it would've been nice if they somehow hinted at them getting closer to each other. That Anaru did nothing even after a year is somewhat ridiculous, if you love someone you have to fight for him. The extremely little steps she's taking are not enough, by far. I guess it somehow fits her character, she probably still fears rejection from a Jintan who isn't over Menma completely, at least that's what I could see her imagine. After a year and the letter where she even told Menma her feelings it's time to move on though, so even if the confession failed they should've made her "Yeah I'm convinced now, gonna make my move soon" like what Tsuruko said. I assume they didn't have the courage to go for that, honoring/respecting the dead is such a huge deal in Japan. If you have somewhat conservative people working on the movie it almost makes sense.Hmm, to me sounds like we don't disagree that much in terms of the characters. Mostly on Jintan really. Not much Anaru could've done. Everyone else moved on much more easily than Jintan did. I guess it does make some sense that he's still that far back. I don't really buy the "was never supposed to show much progress". I mean we basically knew zero about the movie besides it being some content from 1 year later + major flashback content. There could've easily been progress here. Honestly to me it seemed a bit weak in terms of progress. The storytellers could've been a bit more generous IMO when they were going to give us an "epilogue" to begin with. At least some hints you know, especially towards Jintan/Anaru. The others are pretty much settled but we didn't even get a HINT of Jintan and Anaru's relationship being in development, just that Anaru liked the Jintan whom was in love with Menma and would MAYBE make her move sooner or later. Just a hint and I would've been way more satisfied really. Her almost confession could've been just that. She wouldn't have needed to confess, just make them touch and be comfortable with it or something or something. Or just have a decent moment up there just talking a bit.

Maybe I'll rewatch the movie minus the flashbacks.
What exactly would you in a consulting job? Something like counseling?A consulting job would be the best match. Of course I'd love a major big shot firm, like PwC or something, but those firms are incredibly hard to get into. I've sent applications though so I might be lucky, as long as I get an interview my chances are the same as everyone else more or less. I'm trying to get anything within big firms though, not necessarily consulting, as if I get into the corporation it's easier to change jobs within it later/promotions etc. Plus any experience is relevant really. Just need to get a foot in somewhere.
Yeah it's really ridiculous. No one I've talked to really understand how it's not possible to fix. It's beyond me as well. Really stiff bureaucracy bullshit. Oh well.
No you said nothing wrong. Just felt like we had voiced our respective opinions, plus my rant was long enough without another major section :^)
Funnily enough I'm job-hunting right now too, shouldn't be too hard. Probably going to enjoy my time until October and then work hard

Oh consulting... The stuff I wanted to do after I finished studying...![]()
Maybe. I can only be one's Kappa though. Work hard for it :^)Wanna be my Kappa? :^)

Doesn't really matter in the end but yeah, stuff like that is so annoying. It's everywhere like that here in Germany.
tl;dr you analyse corporations and their industry/competition/situation/blabla and counsel them in measures to take to improve something, whether it's performance, relations, leadership/management, or whatever.
What a shame I already used "Don't be a Steph" too often lately :^)Maybe. I can only be one's Kappa though. Work hard for it :^)
Watch House of Lies and you'll knowtl;dr you analyse corporations and their industry/competition/situation/blabla and counsel them in measures to take to improve something, whether it's performance, relations, leadership/management, or whatever.
You'll just chill until October then hunt for jobs? I've basically chilled all summer although I've applied for quite a few jobs, but even so I don't feel like I neither truly "chilled" or "worked", which annoys me.

A dream is a man's romance huh? :^)Yeah thanks. I'm living the dream...![]()

That's why I said I used it too often latelyDon't go full Steph and call others Steph too often man...
I already am a big shot :^)
I... I don't even know...

Too pessimistic!Nah a dream is just a big lie you tell yourself until you realize bubble will burst sooner or later...![]()
