Yeah makes sense, though it's always annoying when you miss an A because of some small details. Reminds me of the time I didn't get an A in biology because I made 2 spelling errors, that was so ridiculous

Not way better, no. There's a reason why the fans love it so much and still read the series, just like with Berserk. Something entirely different, but in regards to storytelling it's almost on par to Berserk and it has one of the most cleverly devised "ability" system I've seen, far surpassing Naruto or Bleach.
Drawing looks coolbut yeah, the upper half is much better than the lower one. I think you could be pretty good with some practice, shame you stopped.

Meh, I was never that good, nowhere near you would be amazed. I just know I had some talent for it but never built on it, but that's so long ago that it wouldn't look anything impressive today. It was just a good fountation to build on.

pft, you still talking about HxH? Man I get SAD when you put Naruto with the likes of BLEACH in terms of battle system... It's like NIGHT AND DAY wtf. Bleach has one of the most simplistic battle systems in modern shounen... There's absolutely no logic foundation there, you just have reiatsu and you perform spells using it. Then your zanpakuto is a "reflection of your soul", so to speak. Come on man.... Naruto has an incredibly complex ability system. If it's worse executed than HxH I couldn't say, but gtfo with putting Bleach with Naruto here man. My inner fanboy raging at you here.
Yeah I noticed MASSIVE improvements just from #1 to #2 colorings. I scrapped some simple stuff between IIRC, that I never got too deeply invested in. But when you are noob it takes a long time even for shit coloring like that Sasuke one. I basically tried to mimic the anime coloring feel, only more "smooth", but then it got kinda hard at the lower body end and I didn't have the skills yet to really do anything about it. Was too hard to do what I wanted with the mouse IMO.

Hmm, kinda curious how it is then. IMO Naruto has some of the actually most clever ability systems. I don't know any series with better system I think. Granted it's gotten out of hand lately, but if you consider the elemental wheel + ying/yang, as well as the actual forming and usage of chakra/stamina/natural energy I find it really clever and well thought out. The ways of fighting are so varied and endless, and years ago the battle system and battles used to be heavily regarded as the series strong point outclassing others. But to you it seems HxH outclass Naruto even. Yeah Kishi doesn't care about "molding chakra" much anymore, even though Kyuubi has been doing it twice this battle, and people don't run out of chakra and shit, but even so it doesn't take away from the battle system. I view the war as a big exception xD
I don't even remember how to do some of the technical details in PS to make me avoid coloring over black etc. It's a way you can have a "lineart" and thus not color over all the lines. ugh....

Heh, HxH anime going on "hiatus" next week since the author is too lazy to continue the manga, so now he ruins the anime too. It's sad really. The anime has overall been getting massively positive reactions from what I've heard and seen. Judging by his pace the anime will probably not resume in years. Then it'll look so weird too with +5 years from now animation quality compared to this current one.
Actually I might check it out. Actually I think I will. However the thing keeping me against it is the fucking hiatus.... Guess I can treat it like something like DRRR having "animated X amount of novels and awaiting further seasons".
Would be great to see you watch the anime, I guarantee you won't regret it. Like I mentioned earlier, the ending of the anime won't leave you disappointed, and until then it's an awesome ride. It's unbelievable how much money and effort Madhouse put into the anime, I've never seen such a long running anime with that amount of quality, both animation and story-wise. Certainly one of the series that deserves all the love, nice to see that it's at the 10th place rating-wise on MAL, probably will rise a few more ranks once it's over. No point in me praising to series to the sky though lol, just see and judge for yourself.

I was planning on coloring this one but lost motivation as I wanted to make it rain and stuff, the rain drip of him etc but I was too noob to pull it off nicely. It could've been so fun doing it though if I stuck around with it. Would've been so fun comparing a noob version of this to a later version when I was more skilled, oh well.

Cut out the first paragraph since I replied to it seperately. Just saying it in case you decide to cry like a bitchWell it all comes down to interest and motivation I guess, ofc you would forget even the most simple stuff over time. Any particular reason why you didn't really get into coloring?
You make it sound like I'm a pro or something lol xD I suck at the most simple things, mixing effects together or experimenting with color schemes. You have to get your hands on a good amount of fonts and whatnot too, to have a nice range of variety and possibilities, which proved too time-consuming for me.
Haha, hiatus might not be the best word, it might as well be the end. Not all that bad, it ends at such a fitting point that a continuation isn't a necessity or anything. People were actually surprised that Togashi continued past that point. Or well.... don't mind, too hard to avoid spoilers if I go into detail now. If they ever plan to continue the series it's definitely going to take years though, no doubt. Doesn't change that the anime is a masterpiece to me.
But hey, that's awesome!
