It's a little sad not seeing HSDK come out today.

The reason is, that the Manga has already ended.

Damn, I can't get over the manga ending the way it did. KENSEI GOT AWAY WITH IT! We even saw him kill tanaka and basically lead his own disciples to ruit... We barely got to see the result of his seidogyo too... Kensei was a character I actually got invested in (is that the right expression?) and it sucks to not be able to see him get defeated. He is the single most influential master in yami and he ended up just saying he liked his disciples... I was really looking forward to akisame beating the crap out of him. Him not getting what was coming to him is worst than not seeing mikumo, saiga and serul get a proper fight (what saiga got sucks, he ended up being a hidden saint who fought some guy we have no reason to care about).

I agree Kensei did get away with it, and he really shouldn't have..He put 2 disciples under questionable training almost crippling or killing them.. The. He killed Tanaka's father in-law, Tanaka's Wife and Child then Tanaka himself not to mention he should get his ass kicked juss for sneaking into Ryozanpaku.. Not seeing a 1 on 1 with him a master was disappointing but he needed Some type of punishment...Mikumo too

MIkumo I don't mind as much as kensei. Overall mikumo was a bit of a joker character. Her power was insane, the only master that could have believably defeated her would be the elder. Anyone other than the other would have amounted to another junazad vs akira thing. I guess I would have been satisfied if another katsujinken got to her but it would still have been a similar scenario as with junazad. Unless junazad himself did the trick but then he is already dead. With kensei on the other hand it was personal. He taught his disciples dangerous techniques for the sake of experimentation... He broke them morally and physically. He killed people. And to boot his very views are to an extent justified in that he actually learned from them an usable form of the seidogyo. He is the single most atrocious character the manga presented and he got away with every single thing he pulled. More than that, he profited from it. More importantly, him being defeated by any master, specially akisame, would have been entirely believable. That he got away with it is a tragedy on multiple angles.

I am also somewhat disappointed about that raiko guy. He seemed to be very competent, having escaped the elder and being familiar with katsujinkinken fighting methods. I was curious about his past, the manga kinda seemed to hint a bit to it with those comments. I got the feeling he was like a turned katsujinken or something.

Kanata is out on Mangastream. It was actually pretty enjoyable. Makes me kinda mad HSDK ended the way it did. The sense of action was just as grand.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. It was pretty nostalgic, it was a reminder of the better days with HSDK. Of course, it was good to finally get a glimpse of Mikumo's final form...even if it was only one of her hands.

Man, I kinda miss this manga. Anyone heard anything about the one shots that were supposed to be out? I thought there were going to be 3 one shots from the author and far as I have seen only one was scanlted.

There are about 11 chapters escanlated and the raws for several more... Although even with that I admit I am not feeling the characters either... Its a bit weird, its like the 3 of them are meant to be main characters at the same time.

Woohoo, a chapter. I miss this manga even if its ending was kinda less than dignified. Its good to see the elder trolling one last time.

Now, several days after the omake thingy was released, I can't help but remember how fulfilling the ending to the manga was... so many loose ends...
