The chapter is up at Death Toll Reader.

What can I say? I am elated that I guessed right what Dongtae would attempt, and was impressed that even the "throw a stone" guess that another reader posited elsewhere featured in the chapter. I failed to deduce Taebin's countermeasure, though, so I was still able to savour some suspense towards the end.

And the end… I have seldom felt so satisfied. Taebin deserved it, Dongtae had been longing for that for a long time, it was beautiful, thrilling, I was punching the air in joy. And the half smile in Dongtae's face when he was about to land the much desired punch was precious, too.

Now, the two are probably going to exchange their information and go their ways.

The chapter was essentially the resolution of the fight and there isn't much to comment on. I wonder what the blond kid will do now. He has had priviledged access to a fight between the two most powerful Dicers other than Mooyoung and gained much intel by it. Now, I bet he has no interest in the pitiable B-Ranker tussle going on nearby.

I wonder whether this kid won't turn out to be a maxed-out strength monster who will casually use the opportunity to crush the two B Rankers and extract all their Dice for himself. It would be shocking and entertaining to see.

Other than that, I had the shivers on seeing Miju meet Eunju. The casual arrogance of that hag in shoving her own hand into the way to the vending machine sets the tone of the encounter. The girl is dangerous, and Eunju enjoys no protection from Taebin (who probably has no interest in her) or Dongtae (who is probably trying to forget Eunju). Then again, Miju should have no interest in a girl who is no longer the object of a quest and who is not a Dicer. I mean, the three Dice Eunju has should be a pittance to an A Ranker like Miju, so I guess she will just try to be horrible to Eunju and pour scorn on her morality by calling her a self-righteous fool or something. Or worse, she will try to ingratiate herself to Eunju in the hope she will be able to get closer to Dongtae and Taebin, who are potential targets.

Well, cannot wait for the next chapter!

Chapter 68 was amazing, I liked it from the start to the satisfying end, hehe. Dongtae is one tricky fighter. Taebin sure must be pissed off hard right now. I wonder if they will continue to fight or stop for whatever reason. Anyway, the headphone guy has a huge advantage. On top of that, he seems to be very smart, much to my surprise to be honest. He was watching them the first time and easily predicted Dongtae's method to land a successfully strike on Taebin. Of course he watched the fight from save distance and wasn't involved in anything, unlike Taebin, but I do think it's still a feat you can praise. Let's hope Chapter 69 will be translated as soon as possible.

I'm pretty shocked that Dongtae has any analytical ability whatsoever. I'm curious to see what other techniques and strategies emerge as the abilities are strengthened. Our watcher seems pretty intelligent and he's probably a bit ahead of most with the rules of the games already, he's likely to be a challenge. On the other side of things, I'm curious to see what Miju's ability is, and what she does to Eunju.

It depends by what you mean with recent chapter. Officially, the most recent released chapter is #69. Tomorrow it will be #70. The recent translated chapter is #68 (officially released on October 18th, 2014). The last couple of posts here refer to Chapter #68.

Support the Manga Editors, read them on Dicescans or with full-quality in the reader at Death Toll Scans, who agreed to host their releases.

Chapter 69 is out. As usual, a nice chapter, but this time I anticipate a lot of Eunju-bashing.

"Who cares that she had a sister who outshone her! And that she lost her in a car crash! And that she is traumatised about shining alone and tries to be in a chorus so she can shine along other people! All this proves is that Eunju would have definitely become a Dicer to beat her sister if she had been alive!"

Well, I'm setting up a straw man here, I admit, but I've seen worse against my favourite female character.

Of course, I don't believe the pianist girl is dead. She is probably crippled, and Eunju only felt tempted by Dice because she might be able to cure her sister.

And if this is true, then Eunju is really way above all the other characters in this series, because she actually loves the sister who beat her. The scar, of course, is her injury from the accident. She probably has lots of survivor's guilt.

This poses an interesting question, though. Now Eunju knows the S-Ranker can change the world, will she finally yield to temptation?

I don't think so, first and foremost because Eunju has learned from Minju that X is not issuing quests any longer. With only three Dice, even if Eunju became a Dicer, she would have not a chance in hell to compete for the final Die.

I think - and Eunju haters and Mio-Dongtae shippers will hate me for this - that curing her sister will be Dongtae's final gift to Eunju.

As for those who might accuse Eunju of hypocrisy because she "would have definitely become a Dicer to beat her sister if she had been alive", this is comparing apples and oranges. It's blaming the Eunju that exists by what a hypothetical Eunju with a different life history and thus different morals would have possibly done. But this is nonsense: Eunju is Eunju also because of her tragic past, just as Dongtae is a kind young man who protects victims of bullying and non-Dicers because he knows what it means to be a weakling.

And I must say, Minju gives me the creeps. I pointed out elsewhere that she seems to be used by the author as an ironic motif: despite having invested heavily on personal appearance, her outward beauty is marred by her dark soul, and she is often shown with an ugly, contorted face. In other words, no amount of Dice can make her truly beautiful.

Other than that, this chapter was uneventful. Of course, I liked seeing Dongtae punch Taebin from a different angle, but what he has told Dongtae about Mooyoung so far is nothing we hadn't already guessed.

However, there is one important piece of information. It's on Minju's saying that one has to beat five A-Rankers with one of the remaining skills each to get the final Die.

So, the first conclusion is that one doesn't have to kill all the other 15 A-Rankers to become an S-Ranker. Five are enough.

For the second conclusion, let's have some fun with mathematics:

i. Assuming a perfectly balanced distribution (slightly more probable and better for managing the plot), six skills for 16 A-Rankers probably means that there are four skills each with three A-Rankers, and two with two A-Rankers. A couple of side thoughts:

- For plot purposes, Time Pause must be one of the two with only two A-Rankers - Mooyoung and Dongtae. I'm assuming this because Time Pause, even factoring in Battle Mode, seems to be the most powerful skill (in my mind, at least, only Cloaking stands a chance against it).

- Right now, with Gilma dead, Psychokinesis has only one or two users.

ii. This means there can be up to two Dicers with all skills, because the skills with two users are limiting.

So, how to solve this? There are some ways:

a. It's possible for two people to acquire all skills, but they are told by X to fight for the final Die because only one of them can become the S-Ranker.

b. Time matters, and only the first one to gather the six skills gets the final Die.

c. Time doesn't matter, and they are not asked to fight. The first one to become S-Ranker challenges X, and if he loses, the second one can have a turn, too. A side thought:

- In addition to two S-Rankers, from a pool of 16 A-Rankers there can be a Dicer with up to four skills. If the first two are defeated by X, the remaining one instantly becomes the most powerful Dicer for the next iteration of the game. No wonder Dicers like their privacy!

I'd say (c) is the most likely, because the other two are tantamount to X telling the first S-ranker candidate "wait a little to see whether someone else will be able to challenge you".

I wonder what happened before… why is Mooyoung the only one ever to have challenged X? My best guess is that in the previous iteration X started PVP with fewer Dicers and thus there was only room for one S-Ranker. Oh, well.

Cannot wait for the next chapter!

First of all thanks for taking your time to do the maths about this!

I was vey excited too for finally having some light on Eunju's past. I completely agree on the fact that her sister is not dead and she's definetely the person Eunju was refering to when she asked X if she could use dice to change "someone else" (at that time I thought she meant Taebin though). The scars confirm that she was in the accident too.

However, her relationship with her sister is not very clear. I won't deny that she loves her (she considered involving herself in that evil game just to help her) but my theory is that that was not always the case. I'm not saying she hated her sister but I think that deep inside she was very jealous of her. Maybe so jealous that sometimes she wished something happened to her. Well, gues what, that "something" happened. It's obviously not her fault but she feels terribly guilty for that. That's why she feels so uncomfortable when someone tells her she's Miss Perfect, because she knows there's a dark mark in her past. I may be wrong but that's what came to my mind after reading the chapter.

One more thing, since you seem to really like Eunju, could you elaborate a little on why do you think she's in love with Taebin?

@Zoofranz:

Oh, so you've found this place. I saw your comments at Reddit and Mangafox and was glad that someone else had reached similar conclusions (not that that wasn't the author's intention, but even so).

And we continue in agreement: maybe I wasn't so clear about it, but I do believe Eunju loves her sister now, but was probably jealous of her back then. I also agree that her guilt probably comes from both the mechanism you described and having survived the accident without being incapacitated (survivor's guilt).

About your question… I have written in detail about Eunju and Taebin, walls of text really, at Batoto, before I decided to settle here. So I don't really feel like being very detailed, because I'd be repeating myself.

But the short answer is… Eunju loves Taebin because, for most of the time until after the Long Day Arc Taebin had treated her as any boyfriend is supposed to treat his girlfriend, with attention, tenderness and care. Even if Taebin is one who likes to fake his feelings, he puts up a good show doing it, and Eunju believed him.

We saw little of their interaction, though, but what we saw is exactly what most young couples do: holding hands, bickering occasionally, hanging out together…

I think the most vicious criticism levelled against her is that she is a hypocrite. Those critics point to her attraction to Taebin as proof that Eunju has no right of criticising Dicers for wanting to improve their looks if she herself fell for a handsome man. Some even say that "she would never have fallen for Dongtae if he remained the way he is".

I believe these people are mistaken in several accounts.

i. Most obviously, the fact that she doesn't issue a blanket condemnation of Dicers. What she objects to on several occasions is that Dicers are hurting each other in pursuit of Dice.

ii. Then there is the fact that there is nothing wrong or unnatural in falling for one's looks. Especially among adolescents, instinct guides the initial approach and humans are attracted to beauty. It's a fact of life and Eunju is human. What sets her apart is that she doesn't let appearances cloud her judgement. After the initial "falling for" moment, Eunju took a few weeks interacting with Taebin before asking him out. During that time, Taebin was putting his best act as everyone's favourite nice fellow, and eventually was under a quest to start dating her. So Eunju only had confirmation, during that period, that Taebin was someone she would like to date, and not only because of his looks.

And as couple she was seen arguing with him and disappointed in him… just as any normal couple does. Clearly, she wasn't blindly in love with him and willing to overlook his faults just because of his looks.

iii. True, she might not fall for Dongtae if he remained ugly. And that's where pretty people get it easier: they can enjoy natural attraction from other people, whereas those who are not pretty must fight to conquer that attraction.

However, for people who can see beyond appearances like Eunju, the benefit of this "falling for" moment is minimal. She wouldn't have continued dating Taebin if he hadn't done his job of being nice to her and a generally good person.

In the case of Dongtae, he would have first to overcome his shyness, grow some confidence and enter her choir when she invited him. Then he would have to use every opportunity to approach her, grow friends with her and then ask her out when his positive traits - honesty, kindness, tenacity etc. - were clear to her. Because the package is ugly, he would have a tougher time exposing the contents, but I'd say that for a girl so unprejudiced to Eunju, it would be doable.

I know this is difficult for teenagers, who are in the process of discovering love and commit lots of mistakes. Seeing beyond appearances is something that takes time and experience, and that is why ugly people normally have a better shot at happiness during adult life. But if there is anyone in that school who is mature enough to see beyond apperances, it is Eunju.

But Dongtae kept hiding around corners, never talking to her and never showing her his feelings, even after he became a Dicer. It's not her fault for not noticing his attraction: from what we see in the beginning, the two interacted so seldom that Dongtae was euphoric that she knew his name. But he is the one who had been hiding, Eunju never indicated his presence was anything other than welcome. The two could have been friends for years if he had been a little bolder.

I'm not criticising Dongtae, I understand his insecurities as a former bread shuttle loser, and in shipping terms I root for him (although right now I'd say Mio has better chances), but I don't think Eunju is to blame for the state of his affairs either.

Eunju is also the target of many other kinds of criticism, but I have also argued about these elsewhere and here, and for now I rest my case.

Now, about chapter 70.

Other than the imminent first real PVP battle between A Rankers, what interested me most about this chapter is the second round of X's attempts to taunt Eunju.

Despite all his swagger and cavalier attitude, he went to the unprecedent length of hijacking the mobile phone of a non-Dicer to have a chat with her. He is clearly very interested in Eunju, to say the least: most likely, he is spiteful that she rejected Dice and puts on this brave façade of trying to annoy her and make her regret not having become a Dicer.

Still, it is also true that Eunju is very interested in the Final Die. It is possible that she will fall to temptation, if not by becoming a Dicer, by doing something for X or Mooyoung in the hope that they will do something for her sister. I am eager to find out what the outcome of this will be.

May I also point out that, despite all he says about the final Die, X doesn't seem to have the kind of omnipotence that the S Ranker is supposed to have. At least he is not showing it: while he seems to be able to do supernatural things and hijack any kind of communications technology, he doesn't look godlike. He seems to be bound by very specific rules regarding Dice creation and his role as a GM. So I'm wondering whether he isn't just some kind of concierge, a person guarding the gates, barring the way to true omnipotence and testing all those who try to achieve it. In other words, it is possible that he isn't an S Ranker himself.

If that is the case, I'm curious why he isn't an S Ranker, and what does he gain from his job as a GM. (Well it's possible that he is just a sadistic kid who likes to send humans into vicious quests for personal enjoyment.)

In any case, this makes the promise of "changing the world" very suspicious. There must be something more… something nasty.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

@kendama

Hey thanks! I read your post on dicescans comments and decided to give this forum a try because I love discussing about Dice.
I'm glad you didn't realise think I stole your theory about Eunju's sister and started posting it everywhere :^_^

I didn't know that survivor's guilt was a real medical term until you mentioned it again lol I read a bit on wikipedia and it looks interesting. Fortunately Eunju seems to have overcame most of that trauma. What remains is just her love for her sister.

Well that's not what I call being short on an explanation...jk, I appreciate it. Now I'm curious and I may go and search those walls of text you mention :D. To be honest, when it was revealed that Eunju started dating Taebin I was as astonished as Dongtae. Since we didn't have many details about Eunju (only what Dongtae could see from the corners he hid in) I couldn't find many reasons for that relationship to ocurr...but, realistically talking, there wasn't a reason for her not to like him either (as you say, handsome, good guy, she's a human after all). It's just that it's not very common for the kind girl to fall for the popular guy. It's always the nice girl who doesn't seem to have love interests or the nice girl who's secretly in love with MC too. Reading your post made me realise how realistic Eunju is as a character and that's another reason to love this story ^^

About this chapter...
First of all, I'm surprised about the determination of the "flying guy". When he and the rest of his guild set the trap for Dongtae he looked like a big coward and now he has decided to fight one of the scariest A-Rankers out there (she was one of the Three Foxes back then, an Elite dicer everyone knew about). This just shows the greed that the Final Die has awaken on everybody.

Secondly, I loved X showing his trolly sadistic nature at its best. I agree with you. He clearly hated the way Eunju rejected joining the game. There's surely a way he can get her into it again, but he wants her to beg first. And unfortunately X seems to be the only one she can ask for help since things are awkward with Dongtae and Taebin right now. You mention MooYoung but I think she doesn't know about his existence yet (Unless MooYoung is the one who looks for Eunju to use her against Taebin?)

Finally...I miss Mio :( but with the incoming battle it seems like we have a long way to go until her next date with Dongtae.

Chapter 71… what can I say?

Sometimes I despair of human nature.

So, Eunju is the only person who seems to have realised Dice are inherently malicious because of the quests.

The only person who treated Dongtae and Mio decently before they became Dicers.

Someone who is willing to put her life and physical integrity on the line to make a statement (the rooftop fight), protect an acquaintance who had shunned her from a Dicer (with pepper spray, for goodness sake!) and stop a fight between A-Rankers (with her own body!), and what is the first thing I read this morning when chapter 71 was out?

"Damn that Eunju getting more and more irritating by the minute. Its good to have morals and self disciplines but when's she gonna learn that it doesn't mean she could force it upon others."

Now, I am an atheist, but poor Jesus of Nazareth… if he did come back here nowadays, he wouldn't make it past adolescence, to say nothing of starting a religion!

Eunju is not "forcing" anything upon others… because she doesn't have the power to force them to make anything, being weaker than everyone else. She is doing her foolhardy best, in the best Arendtian tradition, to make people think, to bring them to their senses!

She is the only person in this series that lives by the Platinum Rule (don't do unto others as you wouldn't have done unto you). Yes, not even Dongtae fully qualifies. She even tries to apply the Golden one from time to time! Why, why is she so hated?

In a way, she is much braver than Dongtae: she has been going through hell for a while now and still hasn't lost her faith in people… even people like Miju and Sungchul, about the two nastiest pieces of work in this series.

Oh well, enough with the rant, it's not as if Eunju-haters will ever change their mind…

I am really curious as to what Miju's skill is… but maybe we can guess already. It's definitely not Flight, because otherwise she would have realised where Sungchul was. The fact that she chose to run at him with a razor blade means it's not Time Pause or Teleportation, because with those it would make no sense to run. If it were Perspective, she would have no need to ask him about his skill. Psychokinesis is also unlikely, because it would make little sense to run with a razor blade… much better to make the blade fly at him from a distance.

So, assuming Miju is rational and her actions make sense…

That leaves Cloaking, right? It's the ideal defensive skill, and good for sneaky tactics in combat, but not much for a face-on attack, because we know from Daewoong's silly misdemeanour spree in chapter 47 that the things the cloaked person holds remain visible. So the razor would remain in sight and her being cloaked would make no difference to Sungchul.

However, other than in a direct confrontation, Cloaking is probably the scariest skill after Time Pause (and if the user is clever, probably rivalling it) and I shudder at the thought of Miju having it. I cannot wait for the outcome of this battle! (Because of course, Eunju is going to be pushed aside in no time by one of the two.)

Eunju is doing her best. I'm sure of that. However, I think that she has to be a little more rational. Her intentions are the best but...if you know there is a way you can save your sister, that person you love and that has been with you your entire life...should you risk your own life to save a guy you barely know about and a girl that tried to do all those horrible things to you?

If Taebin had kept fighting MooYoung in a useless effort to save his friends he would probably be dead right now. That means no Dongtae, and MooYoung wins. This I'm saying sounds terrible, I know, but this is a fucking evil game. Not everybody will survive. Not everybody can win. The characters will have to take some serious decisions and they better start practicing those as soon as they can.

If there is one piece of criticism I can easily accept and share about Eunju, it's her recklessness. Perhaps because of the value she attaches to human life, she seems to be inclined to put herself in danger to bring people to their senses. I don't think there was any mortal danger in putting herself between Miju and Sungchul, but serious injury is definitely a possibility.

But one ought not to underestimate the merit of Eunju's efforts or her very existence.

Today a curious equation occurred to me in that respect. Tell me whether you dwellers of this forum agree that

Dongtae - Eunju = Taebin

When I defend Eunju and compare her to Dongtae and Mio, saying that the three are more similar than it appears at first sight, and that their education in suffering is what allows them to retain their morality throughout the story (Dongtae a little less than Eunju, and Mio less than both), I am often told that Taebin breaks this pattern. Despite having experienced suffering the same way as the other three, he has grown cynical and disillusioned, and although he has not devolved into a power-crazy Dicer like Mooyoung, he has no qualms about manipulating people's feelings and thinks that everyone is trash.

I have to agree that suffering alone does not a moral man make. Something more needs to be added to the recipe.

Eunju is the missing ingredient. Because she was a constant reminder to Dongtae that there are decent people worth fighting for, and because she treated him with esteem and humanity, he was able to escape the bitterness that consumed Taebin, and at the same time got his inspiration to fight from her. Relentless suffering tends to make people cynical; they need to have some relief, some proof that there is good in people from time to time to avoid that path.

Because prior to becoming a Dicer Taebin had no Eunju-like figure to offer him some hope and something to fight for, he has ceased to believe in people. When a random girl told him to just go and die, that only reinforced his notion that even those who didn't engage directly in bullying him were scum.

In other words, even if Eunju is weak and seemingly powerless against X, her small, constant, disinterested acts of genuine kindness have a powerful multiplier effect on those touched by it. They made Dongtae muster all his courage to save her, and even Mio's reluctant gratitude to Eunju caused her to run to her aid later. In a sense, one could even say that Eunju "made" Dongtae, i.e. was instrumental in his becoming who he is and the hero of the story.

I call her X's chief antagonist for that reason. I believe that she is the only power in the story that can counter his own.

So, chapter 72.

Now, I am pretty sure that most people will be discussing whether Taebin is gay, if it is just "bromance", X is a troll or a combination of these.

I'd prefer if Taebin were straight, just because it makes a little more sense given the events of the first season. But whatever, I loved his face when he saw the quest!:XD

But what I am really interested in are other things.

First, okay Miju is scary. I mean, when I think I've seen her worst face, she comes up with an even uglier, blood-curdling mug! I am seriously hoping her skill is not Cloaking, although it is what makes the most sense to me. I almost pity Sungchul! (No, not really, they deserve each other.)

I think her plan is simple. With the barrier, he cannot fly away, so when he runs short of Die points to keep floating, he will have to land so the two can resume the fight.

Now, about Eunju.

The girl is still trying to talk sense into people, but she couldn't have chosen worse listeners to preach her gospel to: those two are about the nastiest pieces of work in this series, consummate traitors and power-crazy to the hilt, no way they are going to listen!

However, Eunju did something I considered epic.

The girl has declared war on X.

On the face of it, it looks like a flea declaring war on an elephant. But declare it she did, the only person in the story to do it clearly. Eunju drew lines in the sand between herself and a superhuman entity! It is the height of recklessness, but I was proud of my favourite female character!

And what is more important: apparently, X took it seriously. Instead of dismissive sarcasm, he responded with a terse, chilling: "this is my fun. I won't let you ruin it."

How do you like that? X, perhaps, considers Eunju a true enemy. How ironic… while everyone else seems to consider her an annoyance at best, the one calling the shots really includes her in his calculations.

I am thrilled. I guess we will see X and Eunju interacting much more often from now on, and I cannot wait to see what the outcome will be! My bets are on her, X underestimates choir girls way too much!

Chapter 73 is out and as is common in flashback chapters, there isn't much to comment on, as it mostly gives context to the present events.

There is new information though, and not only pertaining to the fact that it was trolling from X, after all - there doesn't seem to have been romantic feeling from Taebin towards X.

We also learned the full name of the last ability: Clairvoyance (although the word means something a little different in English from what the power does; probably the author misunderstood the word, or there are still hidden aspects of that power). Their decision to test it on X was ingenious and stupid at the same time: as if X won't have countermeasures deployed against the powers he himself bestows on others!

I was intrigued by her strange vision of… stars? Sand? when piercing through Dawn with her skill. Does it means that the fundamental nature or physical existence of Dicers has been altered relative to normal humans? I can't wait to find out more, this series is getting more interesting in unexpected ways!

I was right: X started the PVP stage with fewer Dicers than in Dongtae's time. This is stretching it a little with mathematics: the chances of seven people rolling all the sides of a Die separately in their first attempts is, hmmm… 7!/6^7, if memory serves, or less than 2%. So the chances that a contender for the Final Die can emerge from such a small group is very small. The most likely outcome would have been for a couple of people to end up with redundant skills and for one skill not to appear at all, making it impossible of any given A-Ranker to acquire all the six skills.

(If I am wrong in the maths, you are welcome to refresh my memory, I'm recalling my high school combinatorics without checking. In any case, the point is that Dongtae's PVP stage is much more credible for generating an S-Rank contender than Taebin's.)

Whatever, the author's hand of god intervened and they are all getting different skills for the purpose of advancing the plot.

I'm curious about Seyoon, though (the glasses kid). Right now, he and Taebin are redundant: if any of them gets Teleportation, the PVP stage will begin and Mooyoung will launch into his murderous rampage.

But this is a flashback. We know Taebin did get Teleportation, so what happened to Seyoon?

Well, my guess is that he got Teleportation, was killed by Mooyoung and that's why Mooyoung didn't have to go after Taebin to acquire all the skills.

However, the ending of this chapter… Mooyoung does seem to know what is going to happen, as Taebin suspects. The implication is that he has gone through the PVP stage before. Does that mean he has challenged X multiple times in the past? Or is he a survivor of an early PVP stage? Maybe he has been caught in a loop because of his own ambition?

I know many people don't like lengthy flashbacks, but we are definitely going to need one to understand Mooyoung better. It is safe to say, though, that it is not coming anytime soon.

Well, my old adage: I cannot wait for the next chapter!

Chapter 74 is out at the Death Toll reader, and I imagine it will be at Dicescans soon.

Lots of interesting things in it.

So Seyoon was the teleporter Mooyoung killed? No, that's impossible. Taebin escaped from Mooyoung by Teleporting; if Mooyoung had already got Teleportation at that time, he would have had no reason to attack Taebin and if he really wanted, he could just give chase by teleporting too.

Maybe it is an inconsistency of the plot. I am really looking forward to the next chapter.

The scenes where Jihae tried to use Clairvoyance to investigate X are eerie, and very beautiful. But I am intrigued by the fact that there were several pop-up windows above Mooyoung preventing her from reading his profile. Does it mean he is a multiple entity, or that he absorbed(?) other people in the past? Very strange.

But of course, my favourite scene this chapter was the final one. X is persistent and is trying his best to lure Eunju in. But to think he would propose a bet with her… it exceeded my expectations. He is clearly obsessed with her.

(By the way, Eunju-haters will love and reproduce his question to her: "How much longer are you going to be boring?")

Well, I believe Eunju will accept… but it will backfire on X. The bet is unfair, by the way: X knows what Miju's ability is, so he can make an informed opinion that Eunju cannot.

But rigged bets are the Devil's specialty, aren't they?

The thing is, I believe Eunju will bet on "No winner" and then Miju and Sungchul will kill each other.

That may lead to a scenario, which some readers proposed when I first pointed out that it was too late for her to become a Dicer and make a difference, where Eunju collects the spoils and instantly becomes a double-ability A-Ranker. Maybe.

But I am more interested in what Eunju will do with her wish (assuming X doesn't cheat). Logic has it that she would ask him to cure her sister. But if we assume she doesn't trust him enough to put her sister's life in his hands, she might ask for a completely different thing.

Like asking him to visit him in person where he lives, for example.

If he wins, of course he will ask her to become a Dicer.

I know that if Eunju is really the virtue paragon she has been portrayed as, her natural choice would be to decline the bet altogether. But even I agree that would be boring. So I really hope she shows some weakness here.

Well, we will know for sure soon. I cannot wait.

only interesting part is the fight inside the barrier....but it is draging on so much because of the 3 different storys told at the same time :(
well....let´s wait for the translations of chapters 75,76 and the soon to come 77....maybe there is something interesting revealed in the texts *yawn*

Caught up with things. The flashbacks seemed a bit oddly timed, yet they were informative. Jihae's attempt to decipher X was pretty amazing, and rather eerie. Eunju continues to exist...how unfortunate. The next match-up seems pretty interesting, the battle between the A-rankers is heating up.

Well, taste is really an interesting thing.

I find the flashback interesting because it sheds light into Taebin's personality and how it came to be.

And I really, really love the Miju x Sungchul fight because my favourite character is Eunju and I cannot get enough of her, especially now she and X have declared war on each other. I actually like that part more than the flashback.

But to each their preference, I guess. I have seen the raws for the next two chapters and I can tell that if you don't like the current sequence of events

stop reading for a while, because the flashback hasn't fiinished yet, nor has the fight.

Just finished chapter 73 und 74 and I can’t get enough of the flashback. X is one hell of a scumbag. For someone who involves himself in every tiny bit of ones life, he surely acts like an asshole when others try the same. :amuse

However, I find it very strange that Jihae couldn’t read Mooyoung’s profile. I didn’t like the explanation of the overlapped screens to be honest. Well, it’s not a big deal but there would have been better ways to reveal Mooyoung without revealing anything. We may have not a single clue about X, but it appears he felt uncomfortable a lot. I think if Dicers would stop to act selfish and gang up together, they would have good chances to corner X.

As for Eunju vs. X, I hope Eunju wins the bet just for the sake to piss off X. :lmao

Bold for QFT :)
i held dice in hiatus for a while from november tbh and just read few chaps in a go. I wish Dontage learned/ got more of those side abilities like tabein did it may come in handy with his fight against the hooded guy. Other than that the Enjus parts are most boring to me.

So, chapter 75 is out.

I am really curious about how the kerfuffle with X, Eunju, Miju and Sungchul is going to end. Sungchul looks insanely strong, and that is a little inconsistent. Actually, the inconsistency around Sungchul is quite egregious: when he makes his appearance falling from the sky, we are to believe he has been floating in a frenzy since he escaped Mooyoung. But an entire day has passed since that confrontation. We know that because it is the day after the chorus competition, when Eunju and Taebin had their terrible date. Mooyoung's rout of Gilma's group happened in the early hours of that day's morning, while Eunju was sleeping and Mio had just left Dongtae's home.

So Sungchul has spent a whole day and night floating while his thoughts were in disarrray. And after all that he still has Dice points to float a while longer!

Also, his endurance seems incredibly high, on par with Daewoong! What's this about? If he had been so sturdy as to smash a vending machine and create cracks in the ground without getting hurt, how come Dongtae defeated him so easily? I could buy that if he had spent Sunday beating the crap out of poor B-Rankers and using the points on his endurance… but he wasn't, he was floating in a frenzy all that time!

But never mind, I've seen worse in other series. For now, I am curious as to what Miju's skill is. (She cannot use it from up close? Is it some derivative, Battle Mode special skill we don't know of?)

The flashback comes with a confirmation that A-Rankers really die when they are defeated. (I mean, that was pretty obvious, given that we've seen Mooyoung crush Gibaek's spinal cord in the previous flashback, but Jihae's not breathing is smoking gun evidence.)

And Mooyoung… is not a human being? What is that supposed to mean? Does this mean he was human and lost his humanity over rounds and round of gathering skills and confronting X, or is he something completely different? An alien who wants to recover the power of Dice X stole from him? Dafuq?

(Still, now he has lost all his credibility as an antagonist. If he has been defeated by X many times, in the end he is weak.)

Well, as usual… I can't wait for the next chapter!

A bit of a wasted chapter. The flashback didn't seem to move along much, although we're almost to the point that we've seen in an earlier flashback. The fight between Miju and Sungchul is heating up, excited to see how that pans out. As for Eunju, we already know that X is trying to drag her into the game....the only question is whether she's going to join in. If she doesn't, she's effectively useless, however, if she does, she's pretty much lost against X in their battle of wills.
