Looks more like WT is near the Top 5 or even in the top 5 depending where the nonranking mangas and cp mangas are.

lol because Zumou get a not so good ranking this week some people start talking about cancelation or fall, if this was a rule, more than half of the Shonen Jump mangas would be already cancelled

About Zumou position, remember that have Ansatsu and Gakkyuu color page, Shonen Jump never would put the Ansatsu color page so low and probably Gakkyuu too, so probably Zumou is on 8th place, not even the worst position of the manga

Well we shall see, we shall see. I think it strongly suggests and highly indicates that it is a sign of the end times. It will face a shortened run. This time next year we'll be seeing more sports series making attempts to replace Sumo's missing spot.

You've already lost a bet about Bleach ending by 2015, are you going to now bet someone that Hinomaru Zumo is going to end by 2016? Just give it a rest already.

World Trigger should have been cancelled pretty much every week by your logic but you claim it is going to be a jewel in the SJ crown & last for years. How can you not see the hypocrisy in your arguments?

What do you mean, Sumo is at the same point in time in which they were giving WT CP's left and right for popularity. (Chp 19 (No. 30), Chp 23 (No. 34), Chp 28 (No. 41), Chp 36 , (No. 48), Chp 41 (No. 1 ) (2014)) I dont think the two can be compared.

World Trigger has spent multiple weeks in the bottom 5 whereas Hinomaru Zumo has had one week where it is 4 spots above the bottom 5. Hinomaru's "struggles" are nothing compared to World Trigger's.

What is this: "(Chp 19 (No. 30), Chp 23 (No. 34), Chp 28 (No. 41), Chp 36 , (No. 48), Chp 41 (No. 1 ) (2014))"?

I have to put it again! Here are Zumou rankings: 1 4 2 7 4 2 6 5 5 2 1 6 4 7 5 ?(Best: 5th, Worse: 7th)

Where in the hell do you see any indication of Zumo not enduring a long time?

About Color pages: Zumou already got 4 Color Pages and 1 cover and Lead Color page. 2 of those Color Pages were consecutive, showing how popular the series is in the magazine.

There is no indication whatsoever that Zumou is loosing popularity in Jump and that will not run for a long time.

You must be comparing it with Boku no Hero Academia that is always in the Top 5 and that had an amazing start volume sales, and so you're thinking it is a failure or going to be.

Uhm, I have to disagree. I only said what I said because of Zumo's mediocre rank in the current TOC and low sales. It's still way ahead of where WT was when it started out. If WT can survive, then a manga that had started out much better like Zumo can most definitely too. WT's where it is right now thanks to promotional campaign from WSJ. Without that push, WT might have died long before it hit the great chapters.

So there was a site whre jump posted wich mangas will be geting reprint. Can someone geve me a link. I forgot it.

Btw The toc seem normal. Gintama is waaaay to low. I mean the shit is getting way too real. It`s the best in the magazine at the moment. Only PSY can deliver better storytelling. World trigger is up which is aways a good thing. I`m kind of afreid that Jump will stop promothing zumo after the low selles of the manga. Magico was doing better and it was in the bottom.

I just did the most useless/useful thing ever (it all depends on the point of view).

I calculated the Jump reader's purchasing power.

What I did is compiled the Oricon sale data of each Weekly Shonen Jump Series since early 2008 and sorted them by month and then I did the sum of each of these month.

After that, I find the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine printing number per Quarter and I divided the number of Volumes bought per month buy the number of Jump printed per Week.

That Number Should be the ratio of Manga volumes sold per "Jump buyer".

But there was a problem, One Piece sells a lot more volumes than Shueisha sells the Weekly Shonen Jump magazines, so I decided not to take into account the sales of One Piece since its popularity has gone beyond the magazine.

So here it is, the Jump reader's purchasing power !

Basically, the ratio Volume Sold/Magazine Printed is 0.7:1 or we could also say that 7/10 Jump buyer also buy 1 manga volume each months.

So, what's the point of that crap ? Well... I wanted to see what kind of impact could do the end of Naruto to the volumes sales in general, and one of the way I thought was to look into the past of the magazine and see of the end of other popular manga like Bakuman affected the number of volume sold per months. In the end, it change nothing.

So in conclusion, expect a huge increase in sales for several series after the release of the last Naruto volume.

PS: If you want to look more into those data Here is the Excel 2010 file. So Yeah.

@BobLeNoLife:
I'm pretty sure people in Shueisha have these kind of graphs and stuff, it's nice to see stuff like this.. even if I don't completely understand it xD
Btw guys.. was there like a decline in WSJ circulation numbers because of Naruto ending?

How is it performing when launch aligned laterally with the others...food wars level or assassination classroom level?
