I think Execution is rather underwhelming compared to the last game's version. There's a higher chance of you losing the match because of it than the other way around, lol.
You're right. At the time, though, there wasn't really anyone else I wanted to take instead of Tohno, however. I considered the pros and cons of Execution.
This table, as well as all results and links to all matches can be found in the opening post.
This concludes the group stage. Hardy, Seakay, FrostyMouse and myself advance to the KO stage. Thanks to LetalHawk, Ganonslayer101, Friss and Philia for playing, I hope you guys had fun and will be back next season.
Semifinals (December 15 - December 18)
Hardy vs FrostyMouse (Hardy serves first.)
Seakay vs Kaoz (Kaoz serves first.)
Hardy and FrostyMouse, send your line-ups to me, Seakay, send yours to Sai, please.
You may have noticed that I shortened this round to 4 days instead of 5. This is because if everything goes according to plan this lets us finish the season on X-mas and I figured that might be nice - if anyone needs the extra day, don't hesitate to let me know though and I'll extend the round accordingly.
So . . . do I get a prize for having to face Yukimura a third time this season? He must have a grudge against me or something.
But yeah, I think my team is a hard match up for you Kaoz. Reinhardt and a sub-optimal Kaji defeat Yukimura in Singles, so that's why I expected him in Doubles. If my math was right, I think Reinhardt edges out Tanegashima 4-3, so it's a question then of you predicting where Reinhardt will be and winning the other two matches.
^me too. Didn't expect him to be so valuable in doubles.
I was pretty certain of defeating Kaoz. 2 wins followed by 5 losses. What a season for me.
Go to finals Seakay.
Didn't he win the one time you actually put him into Doubles? In any case, I think an issue for you was that your other characters didn't support Yukimura too well. Because Sanada and Atobe have relatively low base totals, it's not as necessary to use Specials against them to stay in the game as it would be against Kaji or Ohmagari for instance, so you're not putting the opponent in a spot as difficult that way.
I'm kind of in the same boat since most characters can't beat Tanegashima anyway, so it's not really a choice either, but for instance Yukimura/Marui in doubles is a pretty potent combination.
