World Trigger?

I really wonder why people have their hopes so high for this series. I tried to watch the anime but the first episode was simply unberable...
I follow World Trigger since its launch, so I have a special affection for this manga.

The anime is not really good, and even already giving a good improved in the current arc, the animation is still one of the worst I've ever seen (even, as I said, has improved). Anyway, it is neither the ranking itself that I'm interested, but whether he will win at least a color page in the next issue.

We don't, but it is entertaining sometimes. The anime is terrible, I don't recommend judge the series by the anime, it is like judge Aku no Hana by its anime.

Oh, don't say that. Aku no Hana's animation is an experimental and misunderstood work (the end of episode 7 is, I dare to say, one of the most beautiful things produced in the last years). It's rare you see an adaptation out of the comfort zone. Ping Pong, for example, even without money and time, managed to create something refreshing. If World Trigger had a director with some balls, could have done the same. Yeah, I know that anime of this type are made only to generate a "boost" in the sales, then, mission accomplished, but, c'mon, creativity is not a sin. Necessity is the mother of invention, after all.

Just because something is experimental doesn't make it good.
Take "Enter The Void" for example, it was a very ambitious and experimental film, but at its core it was a failed experiment due to its convolution and spoonfeeding exposition.
Aku no Hana tried to be unique with its animation, but it ended up looking pretty awful and thus was a failed experiment.

Come on, you cannot use something experimental as final product, it is fundamental. 99% of people will say that Aku no Hana was terrible and a bad choice of animation, it was ugly to the extreme. At that time, everybody was expecting something great from Aku no Hana, an almost sure success, that anime poured cold water on everybody.
And again, I think said it here dozens of times, something "creative" doesn't mean something good. Creativity is a not a sin when it is good. It is better to do something common, but with a good quality than invent and ends up bad. Like creativity is not a sin, something common is not a sin either.

Indeed and actually it ends up as a failure most of the time.
Therefore, it was a terrible decision. If you want to make an experiment, you have to, first, start with something small, in our case an OVA would be more than enough to prove the success or failure, but an entire anime? :fail

I disagree entirely.
There are countless examples of well executed experimental film, music, literature, animation, and comics.
Just because some experimental works end up not being executed well or come across as too pretentious does not at all mean that most experimental works end up as failures.

It's distressing to see Black Clover being successful.
I expected Jump readers to have better taste.

Not to happy to see Yokota Takuma in Jump either, I've never been a fan of his works. He's far too edgy for my tastes.

Wow the rise of Gakkyu Hotei, finally.

Jump readers have good taste, it is to be expected that this original Tolkienesque manga would hit all the right notes and then some with us readers. The art, attacks, characters, and world is full of so much untapped potential that folks are dying to see where it goes next. I get the shiveru from thinking of this manga. As Asta would say, its so cool.

We don't know until we read it. Who knows it will be better this time.
Well like I said before, most of Jump readers are young people. They love hot blooded stuff.

Black Clover is anything but original.
It uses every cliche and trope in the book and plays it as generically as possible.
I also don't see any resemblance to Tolkein's works whatsoever.

Glad to see Black Clover so well. Pretty much its adios for Roggy and UBS is going down the very same way.

Its just HIDEOUS to see Nisekoi receiving the cover... Please somebody do something about it FAST.

Ooh, while the art could use some work (which it probably has seeing how that one-shot was from 8 years ago), I really like the panel-work and art-style
Excited to see the series.
The art is really awesome! That is the best drawn Tenkuu that I have ever saw.

Roggy & UBS are dead, but I still think its very early to determine if Kagamigami & BC will have a long life in Jump or not

lets see how well they will do in ranking after the cancellations & competing with the unranked series for 8 weeks

I'm really hoping Kagamigami is able to succeed.
Iwashiro is one of the best writers among Jump mangaka. He's also great with comedy, and has an incredible knack for drawing dynamic battle scenes and panel-work.
