Mag Talk Weekly Shonen Jump [2015] - Discussion and TOC Talk

I doubt it would even still be running if it were in Jump. It's really fun, but honestly a bit too weird to get the votes in my opinion. Chapters are shorter than usual too, only about 16 pages instead of 19, plus they can run small side chapters if the author can't finish the full one.
Oh well, there's enough reasons for me to ignore the translation anyway. Glad someone is finally doing it, maybe I should finally do the oneshot.

That's the great thing about Jump Plus though, it gives these titles to have decent runs. Something like My Animal wouldn't have lasted a third as long in Jump, but it's decent battle shonen and I enjoy it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about it having a long life, I'm just not happy about how they pick what get serialized in main magazine

anyway, I hope Pochi Kuro get some color pages in WSJ to help promote the series, like other jump+ titles have gotten special chapters

So, people buy WSJ to read stuff like Judos, HiFi Cluster, Sporting Salt, Ageha, E-Robot & etc.....
meanwhile stuff like Pochi Kuro is free for everyone to read?

I understand your point, but we don't know if Pochikuro was discarded from WSJ... Pochikuro started along with Jump+ and I think that it is a good news for the series. I think that when a business is open you have to cause a good first impression, in Jump+ case, it is good series. So, choose Pochikuro to make part of the first batch is therefore a good news.
Jump+ is something that I think that they should do with all magazines in the future: focus the income in volume sales. You cannot read the first chapters of Pochikuro on the site anymore. It just has chapters 1 to 3, to serve as demonstration and chapters 4 to 8 were deleted of the website because they were released in the first volume. They are going to do it every volume.

The same could be said for some the successes in the main magazine really, but lets not forget that an opinion is an opinion and not a fact. I'm sure there are people who think the opposite of you and in regards to Pochi Kuro or My animal say: "Thank God that filth didn't pollute the main mag." What we're all forgetting here is that jump's main mag isn't really a shining paragon of literary excellence, and while I'm sure Jump + is nice, it's still a shounen mag that people probably think very little of unless they happen to like shounen. I'm not saying that since I don't really read Jump other than a few series, and I haven't read Jump + at all. I guess I should though from what some people are saying.

First volume was sold out on Amazon for some reason, but it didn't reach the top 50 in Oricon. I really hope that next volume sales increases.

The editors are humans and subjected to errors. They commit more mistakes than hits when it comes to what will make success or not. Of course, there are series that we don't know how they thought that it would make success before serializing, but they are not common, I think...

maybe i didn't explain my point good enough

I'm talking about the editors letting weak series get a run in the main magazine & letting them get famous & people buy would their volume
while a better series is just thrown to the side

Do you remember iShojo? It was running in WSJ but got transferred to jump plus because the usual WSJ reader didn't like it . And currently iShojo is one of the most popular series in jump plus. Maybe Pochi Kuro is not suited for the print shonen jump. I believe Shueisha knows what they are doing and decided to give it a shot in jump plus instead of wsj

カラーはなかったけど、本編の前にヒロイン集合の短編13ページがあったよ
ちなブラクロは７番目だわ
あとソウルはカラー予告ページあったけど、やはり超発表ありとしか書いてなかったね。
ナルトは読んでないけど700＋1話表記だった。710まであるんじゃねw
USBも読んでないけどタイトルは 百地流 だった。

I hope english Shonen Jump will cover the interview with ODa and Kishimoto which will be featured in the upcoming issue.

I haven't yet caught up with Gintama but according to the author's announcement in the latest volume and to the recent rumours could it be possible that it will end in the issue after golden week?

I remeber that the series of Akira Toriyama(Jacko) lasted 10 chapters,but it was considered like a series by japaneses,and If I'm not wrong a series was canceled because of it.
