I think there's something nice to the current graphics as well. Current graphics in WoD are actually rather good IMO compared to shit graphics in previous expansions. MoP is good, but different too for that matter. I think WoW would be very different with real graphics, and not just because the graphics are better. The whole concept of Warcraft is rather goofy (ref. how characters move, especially their portraits when they talk in WC3). It's supposed to be "cartoonish". Real graphics would change the feel of Warcraft entirely.

You're right about changing the graphics changing the game though. The later stuff looks alot better, but it still feels the "same" since the engine is still the same. Add a new engine and the game would probably feel a lot different. That's probably why they're saying shit about "10 more years of WoW content" instead of saying "WoW Sequel".

Well sure, they're not all bad or anything. Still think it would be a lot of fun with new graphic too, but not sure if that would just be a temporary thing or not. I guess you get used to everything, so it's prolly just a matter of time. Even with new graphics the characters could still look kind of cartoonish xD Calling the whole concept goody goes a bit too far for my taste, but surely it always played a part in it yeah.

They finally reached Dio and the battle is epic so far. I'm not exactly sure where you stopped, so maybe you missed one or two major/important fights, but all in all you could watch maybe the last 5 episodes and then watch until the end. It's been really great for the most part and you wouldn't miss much skipping to that point, if you are interested.

Super graphics wouldn't matter to me really. It's still the same game. I'd need a new world. It would work in a new expansion obviously since it's a completely new experience. But experiencing Elwyn Forest again with super graphics? What does it matter xD


I didn't know it wasn't over when I started watching it, rofl I thought that part was over completely. My main problem with that part of JoJo is that Stands are boring in general to me. It's a dull way of fighting IMO, and made everything seem more dull and less badass.

Nah, Part 3 is long. Or well was, the show just finished this friday. I think the whole Stand thing really depends on the opponent and the creativity, sometimes it's really fun to watch (Iggi vs. Fagbeard was so guud!) and sometimes it just doesn't work that well. Like I said you could skip somewhere close to the end if you're interested in the clash with Dio. Maybe two episodes earlier or so, as the last fight before they reach him is very important and pretty epic.

Well I did like some of the fights, and the characters are all cool, but in general "summoning spells" have never been cool to me. JoJo is a fun enough ride to ignore that through.

Yeah sure, but it's an entirely different thing to create a huge world where your mind can dive into or something, we're still way too far from technology like that. Games might look almost real in another 10 years and I guess VR headsets or something like that might be common, but SAO technology is just not realistic in that timespan. My father has been a computer geek since 1980 or something and even he thinks that real Virtual Reality is at least 20 years away, if not more. Not that I would dislike being wrong, a game like SAO would be awesome, but I absolutely can't see it happen in the next 10-15 years.
Then again, I feel like we already discussed this in the past...

Yeah we disagreed then too Doesn't have to be completely real, or even that massive. I mean imagine original WoW (no expansions) in super graphic. That's completely possible right now. Games like The Witcher 3 have insane graphics. In 10 years the graphics will be completely nuts. I do feel graphics have slowed down the past 5 or so years, but that's because it's getting closer and closer to looking "real". Engines improve and heavy graphics are more easily implemented in masses. I honestly don't see how it would be that delayed. The only thing we can do is wait and see XD The problem isn't the size and graphics IMO but implementing it with VR headsets and all that.

lulz I dunno if it's hyped, you prolly know better than me. It's reasonably popular, though I don't think there's a hype or something. I honestly think it's better than SAO though, even if the comparison is a bit off obviously.

Well if you looked at my post then I basically said the same lol Graphics I agree, but companies have been struggling with VR for many many years. The current pseudo VR headsets might be the first time something substantial actually gets released and maybe somewhat popular, but that's still far away from a concept like SAO where basically your whole mind dives into a virtual reality. I don't see a chance that's happening in another ten years, you're way too optimistic there me thinks. Even if that technology became somewhat available in another ten years (which I doubt too), the whole game would still need to be made, and that would prolly take another few years at least.
