Yeah which is why at the very least it's 100% guaranteed to not be them. Toei is always on the production committee for their projects these days. On the note of the whole "correlation between distributors and studios" thing there is a little bit of that in some instances since Warner Japan's been known to use JC Staff for most of their projects and similarly Aniplex also uses A-1 Pictures a lot since they're partially invested in it.

When it comes to Toho though there's no real precident for guessing who'll do it since they've used a lot of different studios since moving more into the anime side of things. If I were to guess one based on who they have used in the past though, Production I.G. would seem the safest bet in the event they want it to be a long runner but it'll probably be someone else in all likelihood.
Unless you're talking of a cooperation, Production I.G can't be the "safest bet" for a long runner. The studio only made 1 long running anime ever, Blood+ with 50 episodes. If they want it to be long runner then Studio Pierrot would certainly be the best bet.

Majority of Toei TV series, and I'm talking of 99%, don't even have a production committee. Toei owns the rights of adaptation and than get together with a Television and an Advertisement company and makes the series.
From Toei you will usually only find a production committee in movies, not TV series.

Also, Toho Ad was the one that registered the domain, not Toho. They are different companies, just like Toei animation is a different company from Toei Company and Toei Philippines. Like Production I.G. is different from Wit studios and Tatsunoko productions.

Its funny to note that one of the comments in that link said that as long as the studio that is adapting isnt Toei, its okay. Some japanese also thought that toei was the most likely to get BnHA.

I know the Toho Ad and Toho the distributor are somewhat different entities but is likely to be them manning the production committee bare it being Shueisha themselves. And when I said Prodo I.G. was the "safest bet" I meant in terms of having SOME experience and longer shows and generally being a realiable studio in terms of production. I don't seriously it to be them handling this though

Well, Studio Pierrot and TMS are "safest bets" than Production I.G. though.

*cough* Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex *cough* even though 2nd GiG was a second season

I wouldn't rule Production I.G. out. I doubt "My Hero Academia" would be a long running anyway. Probably something along the lines of the recent "Nanatsu no Taizai" and "Assassination Classroom." "My Hero Academia" just doesn't have enough material to be a long running show. And since Toei is definitely ruled out (CAN I GET A'MEN?! :super ) I doubt whoever picks it up will put filler in it, unless Studio Pierrot picks it up, then it's a definitely going to have filler, hell, it will probably be all filler...

You totally made invalid your own point.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a seasonal anime with 2 seasons and each one of them having 26 episodes(2-cour content). The release schedule is also a weird one with a same day release of 2 episodes, each release per month.

Yep, it took 1 year for every season, but calling it a long running anime is the same as calling Hellsing Ultimate long running, because it took 7 years to release its 10 episodes.

At it's peak it was a rival to Toriko so yes I'd say so

A rival in what?

It seems that long running series is a format about to end, but what they did to Nanatsu was ridiculous. 100 chapters in 24 episodes? Wtf!

Given that in a given season there is around the same number of long running series as there are seasonal ones(40 long running and 40 seasonal), I totally don't think they are any close to dying.

Also just the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine is tracking right now 7 long running series and 1 short:

Long Running:
- Gintama
- Naruto
- World Trigger
- One Piece
- Dragon Ball Super
- Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V
- Battle Spirits

Short Running:
- Haikyuu!!

but people loved 7taizai anime.
Oh yes, people adored the Magi anime as well! Such excellent adaptations.
A-1 is truly an incredible studio that crafts masterworks deserving of entry into The Criterion Collection.

Magi anime was pretty definitive, especially the second season. That soundtrack was masterful. I hope we get a true s3. And A-1 is affiliated with great anime, Sword Art Online got me into Kawahara's writing as Kirito matches my ideal for how every lead character needs to be written. And it throws the fantasy genre upside down as it reinvented it from start to finish.

Only people not happy for 7taizai were some manga only readers. I was not as it kind of got stale after 70 or so chapters, its so derivative.

A-1 did well with Taizai but they also left out so many little details and changed the ending.
They aren't that bad, but for some reason they like to rush the series they do, so I would prefer someone else.

Let me rephrase what I said so I don't get grouped in with Sharkbait before it's to late. I enjoyed the visuals of the Magi anime more than the manga. The mangaka's art style is way to clustered for my taste. In my humble opinion, the anime really cleaned her art style up and improved upon it.
