Escanor will probably be the first in terms of physical stats. We don't know Meliodas strength, but we can assume it's stronger than Galan since he was able to destroy his face with his bare hands. But with this enormous amount of strength, he was still unable to carry Rhita whereas Escanor had no problem swinging it with only 1 arm.
I wish we knew more about the other St's abilities like you said. We only know Meliodas' and to some extend, King's. But they seem to increase a special ability a sin has. Gowther's ST was kinda buffing the range and the dmg of his mind abilities. I'd expect the other being like that
I see Escanor as the same type of fighter as Escanor, I think Diane will probably be first in terms of Strength while he'll be above her in terms of Magic. Pretty sure Meliodas was using his Strength of 960 at Edinburgh when he was carrying it.

I'm not sure about Meliodas. I just think it might be possible. But Diane and Gowther are not too fast. And King is pretty powerful
And as I said Meliodas himself was praising Diane's speed when they were fighting, and Gowther was able to keep up with him and Ban without problem when they went to Liones. It's not that he is slow, speed has just never been a factor too important for him in his fights because of his hax and body.

So? King has still shown to use speed quite well, and Diane got blitzed by Dreyfus. And they weren't running too fast in Liones.

No, that fight is not relevant in describing current Mel vs King. That was before Mel got his strength back, and now he has it, even if he's not used to having it and is somewhat weakened.

Mel is many times faster than King right now. Galan has the kind of speed to be able to escape Merlin's teleport spell radius by freaking jumping, and we've seen Mel outclass that speed completely and utterly in 136.

Right now, the strongest protagonist is Mel, hands down. Escanor seems to be able to control when his power activates at this point, but that may also be because he's in a cave, which cuts him off from the sun. So right now, Mel is the strongest, fastest protagonist out of everyone. King's speed can't hold a candle to that as he is now.

And Gowther may be slow, but let's not forget his tendency to intentionally take a hit to put his opponent in an inescapably close range of his power, like he did with Dreyfus. So even if he gets hit once, he can still use the tiny pause in his opponent's movement right after a successful hit to counterattack and begin manipulating their memory.
We dont know if his speed increased actually. And Gowther can't do that with characters who mostly use long ranged attacks, like King

I used that example to help with Overlordplex's argument about the comparison between Mel (pre power up) and King's speed. Mel is head and shoulder above Ban and King in speed (and everything else) now, but before Mel got his power back, those three were comparable.

If someone is too fast, he won't be able to do so though, like we saw with Hendricksen, who outspeed him and took off his head before Gowther was able to do anything. Dreyfus definitely wasn't as fast as Hendricksen was at that time. It's actually likely that Gowther is a bit stronger than human Dreyfus anyhow. I imagine Galan would have done the same to him had Gowther participated in the fight.

It's pretty likely Mel's speed increased. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's fact that his speed increased, seeing as how Mel couldn't react to any of Galan's attacks before his power up, but after it, the situation was reversed.

Galan, an insanely fast character, couldn't tell what was hitting him; Meliodas' speed definitely increased.

Mel was able to hit him before the power up. And Galan was caught off-guard the second time.

At the moment I would argue that the situation of the sins vs the commandments (safe for escanor and mel) is that they are all helpless and worthless fodder unable to do a thing to them. And that includes ban and considers how he performed against galan.

first is gowther. Gowther has a convenient technique which works even regardless of power. However in context he still would never win against a commandment. His basic memory wiping does not last to long and would not kill a commandment. Nightmare teller would perhaps be interesting but whether gowther gets to use it depends entirely and exclusively on luck rather than skill. With his current PL absolutely everything gowther does would by all intents and purposes be slow motion against a commandment. Heck, he probably would even blink in slow motion as far as the commandments are concerned. It's not like when he went up against dreyfus. dreyfus was merely comparable to GHKs, his power is not the sort that can immediately obliterate a sin. On the other hand the weakened commandments do have the power to obliterate out of existence with absolute ease at least stuff beneath the 15k range. So assuming gowther tries something like was he did against dreyfus with a commandment it is 99% certain that gowther is obliterated on the spot. His only chance would be that his commandment enemy was either not thorough or by some miracle there was something left of gowther. It'd be interesting if nightmare teller could be used to prey on the commandments own precepts though.

merlin has a number of tricks but realistically speaking nothing she has, at her current pl, can ever work. Gallan or the other commandments could be black out drunk and passed out allowing merlin to simply loose her shit and hit them with absolutely every spell on her arsenal and even then she probably would not even wake up the weakened commandments. Well, maybe the ones that seem to focus on magic and thus have been hit hardest by not having any magic in them would take some damage. But even that is a insane stretch. As far as we have seen the commandments seem to have power upward of 30k at least. So a commandment could have, say, 5000 strength points and it would still be their weakest stat. However that number, worthless to a commandment, would still be more than what merlin or diane could hope to hurt. Maybe if merlin has some spell which works regardless of strength. Something like poison or something... Then she could do something to a hypethetically blackout drunk and passed out commandment. Diane focuses entirely on raw power so she is pretty much screwed here.

King is an interesting case. His standard techniques would in fact not work at all however his actual skillset is the widest among the sins considering the sheer scope of his natural ability and that he combines it with the sacred tree. However even then I don't think he'd be able to do much, at best he'd do marginally better than merlin or diane. His status promotion would actually be able to do something here however there is a crucial flaw to consider. for status promotion to do... something, anything at all, king needs to be able to at least scratch galan. Or do something to galan which he can then promote. His best bet would be that galan gets and actual scratch from king's true chastiefol however king would still be unable to fight after that. And his odds are terrible considering mel's power of darkness, which was actually comparable to what king is able to achieve with true chastiefol, did not manage the necessary scratch.

Ban is the only sin that could, thanks to his ability put up a fight against a commandment, provided the enemy's focus is not magic rather than physical strength. Now, we did see how ban did against gallan and I would argue that his performance there pretty much conclusively proves ban can never hope to win against a commandment. His time limit is too short and he barely managed something against galan. What could perhaps turn the tide is ban getting his sacred treasure though that would still not be enough IMO. Even then, at best it would give him a chance against weakened commandments. However it would not help him against commandments at their power power. Even merascyla thought galan would be able to do better against meliodas had he had magic power. And merascylla genuinely believes that to be a fact because otherwise she would have turned to stone.

I am not talking about King in particular, I am saying that none of the Sin can blitz each others as you're implying. Diane got assaulted by several attacks because she could not move at all, that's the only reason she lost.
How can you say that they were not running fast? Meliodas was enraged because of Elizabeth's kidnapping, he rushed with Ban and Gowther a few minutes after this, why in the world would he slow down?

Because the other holy knights were slowing them down and it didn't look like they were at full speed.

I'd argue Mel, Ban and gowther appeared to be running at full speed after they landed. And they weren't being even slowed by the kingdom's HKs.

Well, that's not what it looked like to me. But whatever, I guess

Ok. But wasn't it stated that Ban was the fastest? I'm beginning to think that statement is worthless.

Ban's reflexes and battle speed are the fastest (barring Meliodas and Esky), not his running speed.

Why? Because Meliodas is ahead of them? It's probably movement speed and not running speed as Gallon said. Advantage in speed is good but it doesn't mean the fellow Sins won't be able to keep up.

It's not worthless, it's relative. We saw the fight between ban and mel a while back. And the point was made that mel had strength but was slower than ban and ban had speed but his strength was lower to the point where several punches from ban were worth one punch from mel. In a normal shounen it would be ban who has the advantage but seeing this it just seems like the author has a different take on the importance of speed during battle. speed is not the defining stat but rather an aspect which can be overcomed or surpassed with other factors such as strength or spells or whatever the fighters use.

Well, the durability has also importance here, Meliodas can take hits more than Ban can, Ban is immortal but he gets injured easily.

@Aonori you and all the others can compare the Sins in this thread.

I am not sure if Ban is overall the fastest Sin or King, the latter's movement speed is pretty astounding as well. In terms of overall attack speed Ban is probably the highest, yes. He seemingly got another huge boost when he made that opening in the maze, I mean he swung his Sansetsukon so fast that he was literally pulverizing a path into two of those huge walls (which was a nice nod to Iai Banchou's "Grave" form in Kongou Banchou btw).

EDIT: Just to clarify, most of this applied to the feats we know when comparing to Meliodas from before him getting his powers back. Right now it's clearly disproportionate because the overall level he is at is way above his other comrades barring Escanor.

Well, if we take the comment from the first Vaizel arc and apply it to their attack on the Maze Wall, it could still check out without Ban having a boost. One of Mel's hits equaled several of Ban's before, but now, one of Mel's charged hits with him having his original power now equals a complete full speed onslaught from Ban.

As I said before, in terms of running speed the Sins are about equal but Ban got better feats in terms of movement speed since. Ban was able to beat Meliodas with all his powers at arm wrestling with his speed. And with that same speed he has been able to destroy a wall made by Dolor with his movements. None of the other Sins did something comparable.

That doesn't make any sense (I know it's stated Ban and Mel are equal in this arm wrestling)... Because using his speed and strength would imply moving Melidas' arm. I mean when they fought the blue demons at full speed, Mel didn't even move but one of them tried to chop his head off. I don't think Ban was even fastest than them
