Readership of Jump changes every 5 years on average. That is one of the reasons Toriko, Bleach and Gintama have such a hard time. The authors have to adapt to that change and only a few are able to accomplish that feat (Oda)

Maybe in toc Black Clover is higher but in reality is not. Black Clover is complete garbage how can anyone like it? I have read more than 800 mangas and really Black Clover is one of the worst mangas in jump. There were far better series in jump and early cancelled. Toriko is best pure battle shounen now in jump. It can not be replaced because there is no other manga with so detailed world building. There is only one thing that makes Toriko unpopular and it is jojo like art and no boobs. Also usually Toriko is in middle or higher in TOC. This toc i from ch 342 when a lot of people thought that Mitsutoshi skipped area 6 Also Toriko is still in top 8 best selling jump mangas.
