I agree with you. People are just in denial. People have got to start learning the difference between Rave Master and Fairy Tail. Mashima is not trying to recreate that story and give it the exact same everything.

Yes he did actually say something along those lines. I'm trying to remember where I saw it. It was a response to fan. Could have been a fanart or fan suggestion? But it was published him saying he liked them. (meaning Mira/Laxus)
Ah alright, so that's fairly new. But actually that doesn't mean that they will be canon. He could also mean it in a platonic way, we don't know. So I guess we'll actually have to wait for actual hints in the manga because as of yet they've barely had any interactions at all? But thanks for showing this, I didn't see this before!
This might be an unpopular opinion but I see Mira more as the guild mother? Who prioritizes other romantic relationships and not her own? Hell, I could even see her as asexual. If I had to pair her up with someone then I would pick Freed, Erza or Cana though ;D

In all honesty, when romance is developed in a shounen, end game pairings are incredibly straight forward. You can't go in trying to overanalyze or has the attitude that "romance does belong in a shounen."

Well to be honest none of those ships are 'canon', as they haven't actually happened in the story. They may, they may not. You don't know how Mashima's cookie of ships will crumble. Personally I dislike all of the main ships except for GaLe, as they are either really one-sided, feel extremely forced or they're pushed a lot by fans of the ships. NaLu is a prime of example of feeling very forced and being pushed by a lot of fans, and Gruvia is a prime example of being very one-sided.
As for ships I like right now, I like Jegura (Jellal X Kagura), NaLi (Natsu X Lisanna) and I don't mind a bit of Meria (Meredy X Juvia).
One, all big four pairings are going to happen. Mashima isn't subtle with his romance and the stuff we've gotten is already beyond what shounen usually offers.
Two, you're joking right? Gruvia is more mutual than both Nalu and Gale (and the rest of your fanon pairings) at this point in the story. Gale will be canon, but as it stands there has been little to no evidence on Gajeel's side of the equation. As for Natsu, he doesn't seem to be interested in romance, but it's evident he cares about Lucy a great deal. Not all Nalu "moments" are romantic.
I'm using Gale as an example again because you state you like this one. You really think Levy's feelings will be the only ones returned? Despite the author constantly showcasing Juvia's love for Gray and the impact it has on the story/both their characters? Juvia won't be in an unrequited love forever, nor will it be unrequited at the end. There would be no point in keeping her feelings otherwise. This is basic story telling. The same shit happened in Naruto and the naysayers acted like the end pairings came out of no where. Newsflash, they didn't. They just failed to comprehend a series aimed at younger teens, which sadly seems to be the case here as well.
Gray is the only man ready to directly address his romantic relationship (once the war is over and they are out of danger). Do I even have to start with them living together? Get out of here with the "Gruvia is one sided" bullshit.
As I've said in the past, I am not a big shipper. But I am logical and this is what logic tells us. Gruvia isn't just beneficial to Juvia. It is for Gray as well. Their characters are entangled to the point of no return.

Well, people can ship whatever they want. However, just like we can determine which character is stronger in a power-ranking thread by looking at their feats, we can also determine which pairings are more likely to happen by looking at their interactions. For pairings like Gray and Lucy, the evidence isn't nearly as strong as the evidence for Natsu and Lucy or Gray and Juvia. When you say that Gray might have a crush on Lucy, it's pretty easy to deny that interpretation if you just say that Lucy was an attractive girl and Gray is reacting just like any boy his age would be when he says she's attractive. You can easily question whether or not Hiro was trying to portray the situation in a way that implies that he wants the characters to end up together. On the other hand when you look at an image like this, it's pretty hard to deny Lucy's feelings for Natsu.
But what you say is right to the extent that everyone has the right to ship whatever they want. I just think it's also perfectly okay to say that some ships are wrong and some ships are right - at least within the context of whether or not they will end up happening.

People can ship whatever they want, truly. I don't care. But when they start posting denial and ignorance, that's when I have a problem. Calling Jerza one-sided? Calling Gruvia, Gale and Nalu one-sided? Since when? Gray is the only one who has addressed anything in regards to his and Juvia's relationship after the war, thus far. There's also the fact that Gajeel has made it clear he WILL bring Levy home, even if that means arresting her. Jellal and Erza have both confirmed their feelings for one another. Jellal outright stated that yes, he does love Erza. Erza has told Jellal she cares about "more than he knows" etc... Look at what Jellal just did for Erza last couple of chapters? Ever seen him snap like that? Not since ToH and that was essentially Ultear snapping. Not him. There's nothing one-sided about any of these relationships. People can ship their crackships and whatnot and prefer who they want together, that's perfectly fine, but when you're coming in for debate, don't be ignorant to what's actually canon and what's right in front of you. Because then you just make yourself look foolish.

In general, Fairy Tail isn't a series that is hard to figure out. Pretty much the day after Anna and Layla were mentioned by Zeref, people were already nailing the theory on them being the ones to open the Eclipse. I don't want to make anyone who ships an unpopular ship uncomfortable though. Sometimes when it comes to romance, people tend to get very heated. I just think if we look at the subject like we would any other topic, think the picture is a lot less complicated than people make it out to be.
I'm pretty confident in some of my theories, particular the one about Acnologia's dragon form being his Dragon Force. However, if I'm being perfectly honest, I think I have more confidence in which pairings are going to happen than any theory about the plot. I must say that figuring out Zeref and Natsu are brothers 2 years ago is pretty impressive. I was still puzzled at their relationship after I found out Natsu was END.
I'm curious; Brandish x Dimaria is THE ship on tumblr when it comes to shipping Brandish. Who are people shipping her with one here? xD Also, what about Cana? I'm really not a fan of Baccana to be quite honest though that may just be because I don't like Bacchus behavior/attitude at all. I shipped her with Hibiki in the beginning, then with Laxus and now with Mira. Although similar as to Laxus/Mira/Freed I don't believe her or any other side charas apart from Elfmanand Evergreen will get involved in a canon ship.

Actually they are so obvious that most people predicted which major pairings would have the highest chance of turning canon 7 years ago. It has gotten to the point that if you deny the obvious pairings in favor of another you are lying to yourself.

Still people have a right to have they own opinion ( don't we :P) and shippers tend to force they bias to characters and attack others just because people have different opinion.
Sometimes you can't even discuss a character or write what you think about him or her without being attacked people tend to get blinded and acting like i would stab her someone from they family ( I know that all people are like that ) it's similar to sometimes pointless power level discussion when people try to force they opinion on others ignoring the facts other person providing.
In that moment ships become for me a cancer of the series with people blinded with they bias towards characters ( example : i've read so many bi....s and other words towards Kagura and Hiro after chapter 481 although here it wasn't that bad :P)
Also so far the only canon is Alzack and Bisca ship
I don't care so much about ships but let others have their opinions if we would have all the same opinion they would be nothing to discuss/talk about isn't that right.
