Base Natsu has attacks that can melt the GMG stadium
There was no confirmation he was in base mode when he entered the stadium, was there? And judging by what Happy said about Natsu not being able to hold back I think it's safe to say he was in FDKM mode when he was entering the stadium...
or that large roar he used against Bluenote,
This is base, I'll agree with you, although since Lessio>BueNote, the best I can see it doing is giving Lessio a few bruises
or even the types of punches he was using against the Alvarez Troops.
He used an attack other than the FDKM roar? I don't remember...
Not quite, base Natsu also entails attacks like his Roar and Iron Fist (those are still basic moves, even if they are huge). Although I do agree that Base/ISD Gajeel should be around the same level as base Natsu (as he was against Bluenote ie no restrictions), probably even a little stronger.
Or the Fire Talons he used to kick Lucy in tandem with Lucy's Regulus kick, though glad we seem to be on the same page..
P.S:That avi and signature though, as Emperor Spriggan I am completely impressed:D

Other way around. There's no confirmation Natsu was in FDK mode. Since base mode is Natsu's default, we usually need to see him enter the mode or at least use a named attack. Happy simply said that Natsu always tend to overdo things, probably in reference to the fact he's melting the stadium, and that's not enough for us to say that he's in FDK mode.
Moreover, Natsu's punch that he uses against the Alvarez troop are comparable to the GMG stadium punch so there's no real reason to assume he couldn't have done what he did in base mode.

Natsu being in FDKM when he was in the arena is kinda iffy. I don't think we've ever had an instance where a character enters one of their modes without explicitly stating it.

Natsu's Fire Talons aren't nearly as destructive as some of his other attacks. One roar and the guild would have been gone lmao

But wouldn't you put evaporating a lake on the same level on melting the stadium? The AOE is most likely the same, and Natsu melting everyone's clothes in the stadium is akin to him burning off Lessio's clothes? The two feats honestly don't seem all that different, so I can argue that base Natsu can't melt a stadium, but FDKM Natsu can

The feats could speak for themselves, plus it would be similar to Gray using Devil Slaying Magic with the tattoo (against Azir and Goumon) and without the tattoo (against Ur)

The way i see it is the only people who might be able to beat one of the Spriggan 12(not including August or Irene) 1 vs 1 right now is FDKM(no Igneel power) Natsu,Laxus and maybe Jellal. It would be largely matchup based and would be a rough fight with any of them.
The Spriggan also have levels. I could see someone of Erzas caliber actually defeating Jacob on a good day, and definitely defeating Neinhart (given that she can basically cancel out his magic with a stare, though thats more lineage then outright raw power). However those are the weakest Spriggan by what I consider a fair margin, Spriggan Ajeel potentially wouldn't even need Sand World to defeat. Brandish can also potentially fall to that level depending on her upcoming feats, as of now hiro seems to want to just establish her as a support/healer, she is certainly absurdly good at it but that doesn't give her much battle points. DiMaria with just God Soul also falls to that level, Age Seal is a wild card, it may or may not work on fellow Spriggan (with their enormous MP) though its implied that it wouldn't. However thanks to Age Seals efficiency against weaker opponents I still put her on the same level as Ajeel/Serena/Wahl, even if she couldn't outright beat them in a 1 Vs 1. Mostly my opinion of course.

DF Gajeel may very well be on that level as well, however had he not absorbed that specific substance he still could not have hit Bradman. I mean i feel like that is close to the equivalent of TO Sherria, where the God Slayer advantage was clearly why she beat Dimaria.
I disagree that its the same. DF Gajeel was clearly blitzing and overpowering Bradman whereas Chelia was arguably even on the loosing end of things against DiMaria. If we are talking strictly overall battle prowess, DF Gajeel would still be well above Bradman (time limit not withstanding) whereas Chelia would be below DiMaria.

plus his durability is easily the worst of any spriggan so far due to him being largely a summoner type fighter.
I think we will have to hold off on that. I don't consider Brandishes fall at the hands of Cana valid due to it mainly being a gag bit, but I could see her durability not being overly high as well due to her similarly not being a direct combatant.

I honestly felt like Jacob was right on par with the others. I mean he had not one but two overpowered abilities. Transport would just straight up end a fight with almost anyone. Stealth makes him completely invisible, free to attack in any way he wants.
Transport has a pretty small AoE and slow casting/initiating time, I think it should be rather easy to get out of range. Thats ignoring the fact that much like every other magic in this world, someone with enough MP should downright overpower it (its just his MP trying to send you to another realm). Stealth is very OP in the right hands, but Jacob lacks offensive power to make the most out of it. His strongest moves are literally his punches, and while they are impressive, its going to take hundreds of them to actually take down a Spriggan level fighter. Its weakness is the fact that he is still there, a good AoE attack makes it redundant.

I think Wahl and Ajeel are the most underrated Spriggan. The formers weakness magic often gets overlooked, he could render most hax ineffective and he has some of the greatest raw power in the manga (he has a mini Etherion Canon for crying out loud). Being a cyborg also gives him immunities to different types of magic. Many of Ajeels sand attacks are waved off as well, despite most of the series not actually having a counter to attacks like his SLP (despite it being a magic series, many don't actually have nukes) and Sand World is basically a better version of Jacobs Stealth. Even

Yeah but thats one of his weaker named moves. In fact I'm pretty sure its the weakest one he has shown so far since Post-TS.

Not entirely, remember the Avatar members in the church? He used similar moves like in the fight with Lessio and that took three of them down, that's why I think base Natsu is just him minus the FDKM mode...

Overall why do i think Gajeel is below Natsu? Or that DF Gajeel < DF Natsu, which is essentially the same for me?

We've seen more feats from Natsu, which means nothing tbh. He's the main character so obviously he would receive more screentime.
But when we finally saw feats from Gajeel it was against Bradman.
What did Gajeel do against Bradman? Nothing spectacular. Defeating a Spriggan is great don't get me wrong (though he was supposed too die as well but anyway). But he showed nothing before DF. All he did wasn't different from pre time-skip. I genuinely didn't see the result of his training, if he trained at all. I don't even know if that's been stated (but we can assume safely he did, as everyone did).
Everyone did but some trained more than others. Natsu has been showed to have become EXTREMELY stronger. His growth rate is absurd. Gajeel on the other hand didn't prove anything compared to pre time-skip.

Now about DF. That's the big new thing from Gajeel, as DF is the strongest power-up of DS. But that didn't felt overwhelming.
Overall it felt like every other power-up from Gajeel. He inhales an element, becomes immune to the thing that troubles him (either Rogue's shadow, Torafusa's water, and now BMP), and stomps the guy.
I even question if that was really his DF, since it wasn't clearly stated and since it was no different from Gajeel's usual power-ups.

I'll probably get some hate by saying that, but yeah, Gajeel didn't impress me.
We can't g by portrayal alone.
Natsu --> absurd growth rate, he became vastly superior to what he was before
Gajeel --> probably normal growth rate, but didn't really show significant improvements imo
Same goes for Erza, she's still powerful don't get me wrng, Gajeel is powerful as well. But did they really show major improvements, in my opinion no they didn't.

That's the main reason why for me Gajeel is below Natsu in my list, and by Gajeel i mean DF Gajeel as well.
We haven't seen dragonforce Natsu yet this arc and I never mentioned df Natsu to begin with. It's a no brainer that if Natsu used df that he'd most likely be stronger than df Gajeel. Gajeel using the same attacks? That's true, but Natsu is using the same attacks as well except they are huge. Jellal's grand chariot was no different, but obviously stronger. Against Wahl I didn't see Laxus create any huge attacks. It was in Alvarez that Laxus made a huge explosion on Ajeel and did it like it was nothing. Gajeel did a mass attack by clapping his hands and sending many soldiers flying. Df Gajeel only punched Bradman. He didn't even try using magic in that form. Meaning in df mode he didn't go all out. Being able to hit Bradman alone does not mean sure victory if he lacked power.

Natsu has gotten much stronger and he proved it. After the time skip though he fought Gray, thinking Gray became evil and wanted to snap him out of it. Natsu was not trying to kill Gray, and Gray pretending in from of Avatar didn't plan on killing Natsu either. But when have these two held back on one another? They fought and were even. Gray's ice wasn't melting. It's just a matter of opportunity to achieve feats if they have the strength. Natsu and Gajeel fought together against Bakel and Kareem, two soldiers of Ajeel, which exhausted them a bit. Both were holding back to conserve energy.

Portrayal alone does not give accurate ranking. Neither does feats. If feats is all that counts then Zeref has none in this arc. He told Acnologia that he would give him a real fight. That's why sticking to the story is just as important. Gray and Gajeel aren't getting any hype, but from how the story is going they are silent and only demonstrate their abilities if faced with the opportunity. Natsu is the main character I believe to be stronger than both, but not BASE Natsu against df Gajeel or def Gray.
Df Natsu>df Gajeel
Base Natsu<df Gajeel

No, because the most impressive part about the evaporating the lake feat was the fact that Natsu's body heat caused Jacob, who was a Spriggan 12, considerable pain. In comparison, the fodders Natsu didn't show any reaction when he first used his power.

Simply because he was an enemy, like I said earlier, everyone in the stadium wasn't an enemy to Natsu so he wasn't going to use his body heat to hurt them, also I was comparing evaporating the lake to melting the stadium, they seem to be the broader spectrum here...

The fodders standing in front of him should be enemies, even if Natsu wasn't trying to kill them. If Natsu had really used FDK mode during the GMG, then the fodders standing in front of him should have been defeated by the sheer body heat alone.
The lake is also far larger than the GMG stadium, which makes Natsu's feat against Jacob more impressive AoE wise. Honestly, the only thing similar about the two feats was that the clothes were melting, and clothes should melt rather easily. It's not a good indicator that Natsu was using FDK mode.

Yeah I just don't see it that way, and by Mashimas portrayal with saying they are all on par with God Serena, that seems to support what I am saying as well. Honestly how could Erza beat Jacob? He could just use Transport on her, then she's done. Or if he used Stealth how can she see him? Maybe with Morning star armor perhaps, but I don't know. Dimaria's trump card is God Soul, why would that be weaker than Age Seal as a whole? They all have their strengths and weaknesses, I just don't agree with your portrayal of clear levels.

While I (mostly) agree with the rest of your post I don't really get this. Bradman was literally about to kill Gajeel and Levy, if DF Gajeel wasn't going all out then when would he? I get that he didn't use a named attack but I just took that as DF Gajeel being so pissed that he flew into a rage. Plus the strength that DF Gajeel had in that scenario would've been monstrous.

You actually hit the nail on the head there, Morning Star Armor produced enough light to pierce through a sandstorm, that's arguably stronger than Loke's Regulus Attacks, Erza can use that and spot Lessio pretty easily
He could just use Transport on her, then she's done
About this, couldn't she just use Nakagami to tear her way through? I always thought Transport took people to a dimension similar to Minerva's territory, and since we saw that Nakagami Armor could cut through spaces, I think she could easily free herself from Transport

I think that portrayel lost credibility with August, Irene and even Bradman (who's MP isn't high). Besides, I do think that besides those three the Spriggan all have similar MP (even Neinhart), its in the way that they fight (ie combat prowess) where we can draw clear lines.

Honestly how could Erza beat Jacob? He could just use Transport on her, then she's done.
She could run out of the AoE, which is roughly the size of the guild. Distance that has been crossed near instantly before. Nakagami is also another good counter to it.

Definitely. Morning Star should be even brighter then Lokes light tbh.

Dimaria's trump card is God Soul, why would that be weaker than Age Seal as a whole?
Trump cards are meant to be someone's ace in the hole, their strongest "thing" when all else fails. Besides that though, the clear giveaway is the fact that DiMaria says that God Soul is the true power of the 12, implying that everything they had seen before (including Age Seal) is not Spriggan level. This is honestly an overlooked dead giveaway to me.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses, I just don't agree with your portrayal of clear levels.
Thats fair, feel free to disagree.

Gajeel got help from Levy when Bradman tried to turn it into an underwater fight where Levy used her magic to drain the water. Gajeel could not hurt Bradman because he's made of particles, but was trading physical hits and also traded dragon roar and ice devil attack that cancelled each other out. But yeah, Gajeel was in trouble due to not being able to hurt Bradman who's made of particles. DF Gajeel didn't use anything other than his fists to beat Bradman. I believe he'd have monstrous magic power too, but he only demonstrated physical strength in that mode. that was all he needed. If Bradman could have been hurt without absorbing his particles, IMO I'd guess base Gajeel would've still whooped him. Same with Wahl. If he was never immune to lightning, and if Laxus was healthy I'd still pick Laxus to win without the use of red lightning.

Even if Bradman could be hurt without absorbing the MBP's how would that change the result? It still leaves Bradman with his Three Seals and the 9DG curses, meaning that all it would take is Bradman to use his Sensation + Enhancement Curse or his Second Seal (Gajeel only escaped that because of Levy). Base Gajeel vs Tangible Bradman would likely end in the same way due to Bradman's hax IMO.

As for DF Gajeel, why would he hold back in that situation? It literally makes no sense, he was on the verge of death so he'd want to take out Bradman as quick as possible meaning he'd be going all out. His physical attacks are likely immensely powerful (same for his MP) but I can't imagine that his named attacks would be much more effective otherwise he would have used them.

I don't really think Mashima specifying certain spriggans as being more powerful loses the credibility of his previous statement(Brandishes,Hyberion's comments). I agree with the magic power statement, but as i have already said almost all of them have some form of hax, so it really comes down to when each one decides to use it. I personally don't like judging it that way, which is why i say they are roughly on par with each other. It is subjective though, for the most part we are saying similar things.

I don't think Erza can outrun Transport seeing as how it's pretty much instant when he claps his hands. Nakagami armor could work possibly, but she would have to identify it and use that armor instantly essentially to do so. Which is honestly my point, most of FT's mages may have a way to counter certain attacks, but in a straight up fight where neither knows the others abilities the Spriggans have the edge imo because of how hax their abilities are.

As far as Dimaria i agree i would place her with them if i had a ranking( i will work on that haha), but seeing as how i believe Bradman and Jacob are also on that level, i think we can agree to disagree here. Overall i don't think what we are saying is that far apart, i just think you have more distinct "tiers" than i do. Which is fine, all this stuff is super subjective anyway, and as i have said before FT has one of the more inconsistent power scales imo, mostly due to power inflation.

Well he did end it quickly, no roar or anything like that. I'm not saying he held back on punches. Just that I didn't see him use magic in that mode. You make a good point, but if Bradman could have been hurt without the need of absorbing his particles, he'd be just that from attacks, hurt. Meaning it would still have been a close fight. I'd assume he would be more cautious if he was hittable from the start, but he'd have taken the damage and get worn out too. He might not have been able to hit, but he did trade shots with Gajeel and both also traded roars which neither overpowered the other. Gajeel took damage because he could be damaged, and if you account the times Gajeel hit him, a tangible Bradman would be in a lot of pain too.
