The way i see it is the only people who might be able to beat one of the Spriggan 12(not including August or Irene) 1 vs 1 right now is FDKM(no Igneel power) Natsu,Laxus and maybe Jellal. It would be largely matchup based and would be a rough fight with any of them.
The Spriggan also have levels. I could see someone of Erzas caliber actually defeating Jacob
on a good day, and definitely defeating Neinhart (given that she can basically cancel out his magic with a stare, though thats more lineage then outright raw power). However those are the weakest Spriggan by what I consider a fair margin, Spriggan Ajeel potentially wouldn't even need Sand World to defeat. Brandish can also potentially fall to that level depending on her upcoming feats, as of now hiro seems to want to just establish her as a support/healer, she is certainly
absurdly good at it but that doesn't give her much battle points. DiMaria with just God Soul also falls to that level, Age Seal is a wild card, it may or may not work on fellow Spriggan (with their enormous MP) though its implied that it wouldn't. However thanks to Age Seals efficiency against weaker opponents I still put her on the same level as Ajeel/Serena/Wahl, even if she couldn't outright beat them in a 1 Vs 1. Mostly my opinion of course.
DF Gajeel may very well be on that level as well, however had he not absorbed that specific substance he still could not have hit Bradman. I mean i feel like that is close to the equivalent of TO Sherria, where the God Slayer advantage was clearly why she beat Dimaria.
I disagree that its the same. DF Gajeel was clearly blitzing and overpowering Bradman whereas Chelia was arguably even on the loosing end of things against DiMaria. If we are talking strictly overall battle prowess, DF Gajeel would still be well above Bradman (time limit not withstanding) whereas Chelia would be below DiMaria.
plus his durability is easily the worst of any spriggan so far due to him being largely a summoner type fighter.
I think we will have to hold off on that. I don't consider Brandishes fall at the hands of Cana valid due to it mainly being a gag bit, but I could see her durability not being overly high as well due to her similarly not being a direct combatant.
I honestly felt like Jacob was right on par with the others. I mean he had not one but two overpowered abilities. Transport would just straight up end a fight with almost anyone. Stealth makes him completely invisible, free to attack in any way he wants.
Transport has a pretty small AoE and slow casting/initiating time, I think it should be rather easy to get out of range. Thats ignoring the fact that much like every other magic in this world, someone with enough MP should downright overpower it (its just his MP trying to send you to another realm). Stealth is very OP in the right hands, but Jacob lacks offensive power to make the most out of it. His strongest moves are literally his punches, and while they are impressive, its going to take hundreds of them to actually take down a Spriggan level fighter. Its weakness is the fact that he is still there, a good AoE attack makes it redundant.
I think Wahl and Ajeel are the most underrated Spriggan. The formers
weakness magic often gets overlooked, he could render most hax ineffective and he has some of the greatest raw power in the manga (he has a mini Etherion Canon for crying out loud). Being a cyborg also gives him immunities to different types of magic. Many of Ajeels sand attacks are waved off as well, despite most of the series not actually having a counter to attacks like his SLP (despite it being a magic series, many don't actually have nukes) and Sand World is basically a better version of Jacobs
Stealth. Even
Or the Fire Talons he used to kick Lucy in tandem with Lucy's Regulus kick, though glad we seem to be on the same page..
Yeah but thats one of his weaker named moves. In fact I'm pretty sure its the weakest one he has shown so far since Post-TS.
P.S:That avi and signature though, as Emperor Spriggan I am completely impressed
Zerefs awesome. Not a lot of people reppin him round here. Next up is August.
