Is not that I don't believe,I know that you're a credible info provider, but I would like to see at least an image of the volume telling that information, for bigger credibility.

*32,000,000 - Kinnikuman

No information for Naruto at volume 10, but at volume 6 it was with 5 Million and with 13 volumes at 12 Million.

An important thing to remember about HxH at 10 volumes is that the franchise add already 2.5 years, instead of the normal 2 years, and the fact that already had an anime for 1 entire year.

I have never read a manga that feels more like it's about to get cancelled than Red Sprite.

So messy, so many things happening and you still barely know or understand the characters and the world.

Do you have this information for bigger series, like One Piece or DB or Slam Dunk or something?

HxH also has the natural advantage that it came after YYH, which I imagine made it much more successful than your average newcomer initially. It makes sense why it would be significantly more popular than other similarly new series. One Piece had to earn every single person in its audience, HxH already started with some Togashi fans that were looking forward to his next work.

Since the Boku no Hero volumes are selling more than 500k, why did they increased only 400k from the previous 5.9M?

Only one volume was released since then, and I'm sure it hasn't sold 500k yet. Probably very close, but not there yet

The 5.9 Million copies in print is the Series total. That includes the Spinoff, character book and light novel and any other print release the series had. The article specifically says " コミックスのシリーズ累計発行部数は590万部を突破". The 5.7 Million is the total for the 9 volumes that were released as of that article. The cover on this volume does not state that its the series total so it went up by 600K, 100k more than from volume 8 to 9.
Every Volume released so far has sold more than 550K according to 2ch, with Vol 1~4 in the 700k range. Last I checked, Vol 1 was around 780k.

Now it makes sense. According with 2ch, only volumes 8 and 9 are still in the 500k range.

The Closest, before and after, recorded data for those series:

**5,000,000 - Dragon Ball(4 volumes)
*32,000,000 - Slam Dunk(15 volumes)
*41,800,000 - One Piece(17 volumes)
*54,000,000 - One Piece(21 volumes)
*65,000,000 - Slam Dunk(22 volumes)
*50,000,000 - Dragon Ball(23 volumes)

Does anyone have a rough estimate of Kochikame individual volume sold? Data from 2008 showed that it decreased to around 100k/volume. My guess is the first 50~ volumes must be at least in the 700k-1 million range.

wow, these numbers are so strange.

DB had 5,000,000 at 4 volumes which seems to be insane, but then one piece at 21 was already higher than dragon ball at 23, not to mention slam dunk at 22 which is even HIGHER.

is it possible that a lot of DB's sales came from the next generation of readers after the series was over? because with these numbers i dont understand how DB sold so much more (and more per volume) than Slam Dunk

maybe DB's sales increased later, volume 23 was the Ginyu force. I feel that around the time of the super saiyans and subsequent cell saga is when the dbz craze would really start
