Can't you put two and two together?

We got clear indication it was, he was flashing back to all those moments of dragon force
Dragon Force takes a large amount of ethernano to activate. Bradman said that Gajeel had absorbed the miniscule amount of Iron present in the MBPs so that he could affect his body. He had absorbed the MBPs, not ethernano.

Natsu and Gajeel were never equals even in their first fight

Once Natsu ate the fire it put him on equal footing with Gajeel because he finally got his strength back.

Natsu straight rekt Gajeel after he regained his power.

Heck even after smashing Gajeel he even went further and busted Gajeel's entire guild.

Natsu and Gajeel were never stated nor portrayed to be equals even in their first fight. I never got where people keep getting these notions that character A is as strong as character B when character B's feats sh!t on character A's feats. Like seriously, portrayal means jack squat when that character feats don't stack up to said portrayal hype.

It still strikes me that, in the same mindset, Gajeel and Natsu were portrayed as equals. The thing in their fight is that they weren't sharing the same mindset: Natsu was bloodlusted whereas Gajeel was not. And we all know what bloodlust does to FT characters.

Take a look at Gray. He was being defeated by Invel even in DeS mode, but as soon as he got bloodlusted he wrecked... Does that mean Gray > Invel? Well, bloodlusted Gray is > Invel... but that does not necessarily Gray can always beat Invel. Bloodlusted Invel could probably still defeat bloodlusted Gray, thing is, we hardly ever, or rather, never, see bloodlusted villains; their morals are off, but that does not mean they're bloodlusted.

Bloodlust comes from a very strong pain/sadness (normally) and since villains are generally drawn out to be merciless/emotionless characters, they 'can't be bloodlusted' because they 'have no reasons to really be angry'. That may be bullshit for you, but it makes sense to me.

People who keep on referencing the Natsu vs Gajeel fight are ignoring what happened later in the manga, I mean seriously do I need to spell it out for you people?
Natsu and Gajeel vs Laxus, no one was getting ahead of the other
Natsu and Gajeel vs Sting and Rogue, they were both dealing with them easy-diff
Natsu and Gajeel vs Tempesta and Torafuzar, everything went the same, they even used their dual modes at the same time.
So no, believe what you want to but Natsu and Gajeel were the same before the timeskip
Also why are people saying Nienheart is weaker than Bradman? Nienheart can summon all the demons Bradman has a curse for and more. He can summon Keith, marde Geer, Sayla, Kyouka, Silver, Jackal, Tempesta, Ezel, etc.
Bradman uses the Curses better than the actual Demon Gates, remember his Thorn Curse affected Gajeel when it shouldn't have, since current Gajeel is X791 Gajeel

Also why are people saying Nienheart is weaker than Bradman? Nienheart can summon all the demons Bradman has a curse for and more. He can summon Keith, marde Geer, Sayla, Kyouka, Silver, Jackal, Tempesta, Ezel, etc. Also how does he have horrible durability when the only attacks that took him out was an enhanced version of Grand Chariot and a FDKM punch from Natsu? Natsu also one shotted Bluenote and The war god doesn't mean he have low durability.
Because when you put it on paper (and going by feats), Neinhart is weaker than Bradman. Bradman has all of the 9DG curses, Mard's curse and his own curses, not to mention that they're powered by Spriggan level curse power. He could steal Neinhart's senses, flood him in Tenchi Kamei, Absorb his energy attack via Absorption Curse, restrain and puncture him with Thorns, Bomb him, freeze him via DeS etc. The list goes on. All Neinhart has going for him is his Historias but they won't be able to do anything against Tenchi Kamei and the Third Seal. With all of this being said, Neinhart might not even push Bradman that far, the second he uses his First Seal Neinhart is going to be taking in copious amounts of MBP's in and we've seen how badly they affect people in battle. On top of this it's likely the Historias wouldn't even do Bradman much harm as he can use his MBP body or his Absorption curse to mitigate damage.

With all of the above being said you could make it even simpler, which feat is better, fodderizing Gajeel (who was a direct counter to him and had help) or getting two-shotted by Base Natsu whilst enhanced?

Ok I find it quite ironic how you accuse us of ignoring things when we literally have a canon fight between the two that shows us who's stronger and yet you want to keep going back to portrayal. Natsu and Gajeel are in the same tier, sure, which is why their performances against enemies are similar. But as we've clearly seen from their performances against each other, Natsu > Gajeel. I cannot for the life of me understand how you can still argue that they're equal when one has literally already beaten the other in a fight.

Mindset had nothing to do with it. Natsu was matching Gajeel while he already fought against 2 EF. So when Gajeel regain his strength by eating the metal it turned the tide to his favor but when Natsu ate fire and regained his strength it even the plain field and once the plain field was even Natsu rekt him. Gajeel and Happy clearly state this in the text.

Natsu was the heavy hitter in their fight against Laxus. He was the one who was leading the attack and doing most of the work.

Natsu beat Zancrow while Gajeel barely beat Capricorn's subordinates. Both subordinates admitted to being vastly inferior to the 7kin.

Natsu beat both twin in DF while Gajeel needed a power up to beat Shadow Rogue.

Natsu had two prior matches with 9D before he fought Tempester and he was easily keeping up with Gajeel.

X784, x791, and x792 Natsu was always stronger than Gajeel by feats. Nothing has stated them to be equal and portrayal means jack.

Huh? most of the work, where is this from? Dude, Gajeel saved Natsu's sorry ass from getting basted and you say Natsu was leading the attack? Lol wut?
Natsu beat Zancrow
Makarov helped him -_-

Yomazu + Kawazu= A single Kin in power
Natsu beat both twin in DF
Gajeel was capable of the same, he was manhandling Rogue on the last day before Shadow kicked in, add Sting and the result doesn't change
Gajeel needed a power up to beat Shadow Rogue.
Yeah, Shadow Rogue would have also raped Natsu, since according to your words earlier he 'admitted to being more powerful than Natsu', so Shadow Rogue>Natsu and Base Gajeel
Natsu had two prior matches with 9D
He powered up from eating Tempester's flames and Jackal's explosions, try again
and he was easily keeping up with Gajeel.
Because their equals? I literally stated that in my earlier post..

Natsu was the heavy hitter in their fight against Laxus. He was the one who was leading the attack and doing most of the work.
Thats completely false.

Natsu wasn't leading shit. If anything it was Gajeel who was setting-up the team plays:

Natsu only went on the offensive in the last 3rd of the fight, but Gajeel made-up for his lack of participation by saving Natsus ass, twice. If anything, that fight showed that Natsu and Gajeel were relative equals in everything bar endurance in which Natsu has Gajeel beat (hence why he fought longer).

Natsu beat Zancrow while Gajeel barely beat Capricorn's subordinates. Both subordinates admitted to being vastly inferior to the 7kin.
Zancrow was stomping Natsu up until Makarov saved his ass and stalled Zancrow long enough for Natsu to use his brain for the first and last time in the entire series. The gap between Zancrow and Natsu was very evident. Both of Capricorns subordinates are INDIVIDUALLY far weaker then the Kin, and Gajeel would have destroyed them had they fought individually. What made them give Gajeel as tough a time as they did was their teamwork combos.

Natsu beat both twin in DF while Gajeel needed a power up to beat Shadow Rogue.
Tf does it matter? Shadow Rogue is >> GMG Twins and even Natsu for that matter.

Natsu had two prior matches with 9D before he fought Tempester and he was easily keeping up with Gajeel.
He had breaks in-between.

X784, x791, and x792 Natsu was always stronger than Gajeel by feats. Nothing has stated them to be equal and portrayal means jack.
Equal? No, Natsu is stronger, But the gap isn't big. He is stronger on the merit that he can outlast Gajeel due to moderately higher endurance. I'd consider ISD Gajeel more of a threat though overall (Tartarus Arc that is), because ISD is a better power-up then LFD.

Natsu literally fought Laxus alone for most of the battle. Gajeel barely even faced off against him.

Levy helped Gajeel -_-

No they didn't. They already stated that even together they were no where near 7kin level.

Gajeel rekt base Rogue that isn't a big feat. Shadow statement is baseless.

You think Natsu just goes to a hundred when he eats flames? He still takes a huge toll on his body.

They aren't equals. Natsu fought two other 9D before that battle. Gajeel was fresh as he didn't even fight nor confront a 9D before his battle with Torafuza.

Really because who was the one who got up to finish the fight? Yeah it was Natsu.

Gajeel only got up a deflected one attack Natsu got from multiple of Laxus attacks and had the magic too take him down. Gajeel did not. Gajeel was only in the second part of the fight while Natsu was up fighting Laxus in all three sections of the fight.

Yeah Natsu beat Zancrow when he found out how to beat him. You act like the fight wasn't in Zancrow's favor in the first place lol. Natsu was at a disadvantage against a top tier 7kin and came out on top albeit he had help. But Gajeel also had helped and he was getting rekt by two scrub subordinates. Those subordinates together couldn't have taken on a 7kin. The Goat admitted he couldn't contend.

Wth did you think adding a chicken who just exploded eggs could do? Seriously did you think Hades is stupid enough to have a 7kin that can be defeated by just two of his subordinates?

Shadow Rogue is not stronger than both the twins in DF. You don't even have basis for that statement and don't use that whack statement from Shadow Rogue.

He had a few hours after Jackal and he literally had what 20 minutes after his fight with Franmelth. That's not a lot time for a break and Gajeel was out of the battle after one fight while like I said Natsu fought 4 in the course of one day.

Lol no, LFD is much stronger than ISD by a lot. LFD starting ignition KOed Hades while ISD starting ignition only beat shadow Rogue.

Natsu beat Gajeel in Phantom Lord because Lucy helped, it wasn't a solo effort -_-
Why are most people conveniently ignoring this?
Yes, Lucy did help there be fire for Natsu to eat but you can't ignore that after both of them ate their elements Natsu finished out on top. Regardless of Lucy helping him there, they both ate their element and Natsu proved then and there that he was the stronger of the two. During the recent timeskip, Gajeel spent most of the year with the magic council and levy while Natsu was off training. Its not unreasonable in the slightest to say Natsu is stronger than Gajeel.

That one attack was the strongest or 2nd strongest attack that Laxus used (that landed). Like I said, all that showed was Natsus superior endurance. As far as actual performance goes, they performed dead on equally against Laxus.

Yeah Natsu beat Zancrow when he found out how to beat him. You act like the fight wasn't in Zancrow's favor in the first place lol. Zancrow was easily overpowering Natsu in every exchange they had. Him being able to eat Natsus fire wouldn't have made a difference. Zancrow was vastly superior to Natsu overall. Since when did together equal to I? Cause the goat said the latter whereas Gajeel fought the former. Levy just fed him to make-up for the damage he took earlier. The second half of the fight (w/Levy gone) was the true fight.

Wth did you think adding a chicken who just exploded eggs could do? Seriously did you think Hades is stupid enough to have a 7kin that can be defeated by just two of his subordinates?
Tf? Hades was stupid enough to have Kain as part of the Kin so yes.

Shadow Rogue is not stronger than both the twins in DF. You don't even have basis for that statement and don't use that whack statement from Shadow Rogue.
LOL yes he is. No basis for that statement? How about stomping Gajeel? Gajeel is vastly superior to one of the twins, DF or not. Adding another one doesn't turn it from a Easy-Diff win for Gajeel to a stomp by the twins. I'd even argue that base GMG Gajeel can defeat the GMG version of the twins. On top of that we have the statement though, someone who most certainly knows the full extent of Rogues power and can generalize to Sting since they are equals. Statements can be dismissed as cocky boasting if they have no weight, Shadow Rogue fodderizing Gajeel supported him being > Natsu.

He had a few hours after Jackal and he literally had what 20 minutes after his fight with Franmelth. That's not a lot time for a break and Gajeel was out of the battle after one fight while like I said Natsu fought 4 in the course of one day.
Natsu had a decent amount of time after Franmalth, including a big break from Alegria. Gajeel pushed himself a lot more then Natsu did in any of those fights, and like I said, Natsu does have more endurance. Him fighting for longer doesn't show any superiority in anything other then endurance.

Lol no, LFD is much stronger than ISD by a lot. LFD starting ignition KOed Hades while ISD starting ignition only beat shadow Rogue.
Those instances don't mean anything because Natsu got MP from Laxus (most of his MP tank at that) whereas Gajeel got MP from Shadow Rogue (only the scraps used to defeat him), someone weaker then Laxus. What matters are the feats from the automatic versions of the two (ie the ones used against the DGs) when they are using THEIR OWN MP. And in that regard ISD is superior, since on top of giving a boost in raw power it also gives shadow body intangibility which entails 1) An even further increase in speed 2) Intangibility to avoid attacks. LFD only boosts raw power.

If we aren't considering the instances where they first got their modes then Gajeel's intangibility shouldn't be taken into account either. I don't think we've seen Gajeel ever turn into shadows after his fight with Rogue.

Erza was doing most of damage to Laxus until the ending where Laxus used all his dragon attacks.

Do you think natsu is capable of doing that again ?

FDKM Natsu is not superior to DF Gajeel, that doesn't even make any sense based on what the manga shows. Natsu and Gajeel have always portrayed to be equals, and DF is stated to be the most powerful power-up a Dragon Slayer can receive. So yeah, based on these facts it seems pretty obvious that DF Gajeel is > FDKM Natsu. And just like @Emperor Spriggan stated, FDKM Natsu used his full power to defeat a low durability Spriggan while DF Gajeel only used his fists to defeat a high durability Spriggan.

Natsu's attack power is not above Gajeel's, that's baseless. Gajeel's Iron Shadow Dragon Roar is without a doubt equal to Natsu's most offensive spell. Natsu = Gajeel and that's a fact.

Also ISD > LFD since ISD is extremely hax.

So yeah everything you said was wrong and was nothing more than the way you want things to be.
Doesn't make any sense based on what the manga shows? Natsu has defeated a Spriggan with a few attacks in base, that clearly shows he has quite the impressive attack power. Not only that, but Natsu has clearly shown in this arc that he's the stronger of the two. He's clearly shown to have the greater attack power from his encounters with Spriggans and has also shown he's got the greater AoE etc- He has everything supporting him as the stronger of the two Dragon Slayers. He trained for most of the timeskip which Gajeel didn't, so how can you legitimitely expect Gajeel to be on equal footing with Natsu when he hasn't put in nearly enough work or shown anything to suggest he is an equal?

Again, it isn't baseless. We've seen countless times that his attack power is greater than Gajeels in the manga. Show me the Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar that was stronger, bigger etc. than the Flame Dragon King's Demoltion Fist that Natsu used in base against the war god. I guarantee you that you can't, and even Natsu's base Flame Dragon's Roar he used on Bluenote would rival anything you can pull up. The Flame Dragon King's Roar against the Alvarez soldiers would easily eclipse it, so I don't see how you can actually throw around those statements which are clearly baseless.

Iron Shadow Dragon mode is better than Lightning Flame Dragon mode purely because of its intangibility? As we've seen before, intangibility can still be broken though as we've seen people do to Rogue in the past, so I don't see how someone like Natsu who whipped Dragon Force Rogue (and Dragon Force Sting) in the GMG would struggle to hit Gajeel. Also, I said that LFD is greater than ISD in attack power which you haven't tried to refute so I'll assume you agree with me there.

Tier 4 -Erzaa
Tier 3- Gray
Tier 2- Natsu and Gajeel
As of right now this ranking is legit. Erza got the speed and strength to beat Natsu in a fight, power isn't everything. Gray now has ice to freeze anything rendering all of Natsu' attack useless and to top it off, he has devil magic. Natsu and Gajeel are equals at this point, they both went all out to defeat a spriggan. You may argue that he went into dragon force and that tops FDKM but Bradman was immune to physical damage.

Yeah shadow rogue AKA future is stronger than GMG. Natsu couldn't jack shit to him even with hellfire flames from Atlas flame.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

Erza was doing most of damage to Laxus until the ending where Laxus used all his dragon attacks.

Do you think natsu is capable of doing that again ?
Shadow Rogue isn't Future Rogue. Future Rogue is Rogue seven years into the future with shadow power mastered and he also has Sting's Holy Dragon powers.

What does Erza have to do with this? She fought Laxus for like two pages and left to go destroy the lacrima.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
That one attack was the strongest or 2nd strongest attack that Laxus used (that landed). Like I said, all that showed was Natsus superior endurance. As far as actual performance goes, they performed dead on equally against Laxus.

Tf? Hades was stupid enough to have Kain as part of the Kin so yes.

Natsu had a decent amount of time after Franmalth, including a big break from Alegria. Gajeel pushed himself a lot more then Natsu did in any of those fights, and like I said, Natsu does have more endurance. Him fighting for longer doesn't show any superiority in anything other then endurance.

Algeria put him in a stasis so no he barely got rest time after the Franmelth fight.

Levy helped Gajeel as much as Makarov helped Natsu. Zancrow was only dominating bcs he had fire that a Slayer couldn'the even eat while he could constantly eat Natsu's.

Kain was stronger than that pathetic chicken and Goat. Hade isn't stupid either considering he was a brilliant mage that created Infinite Magic a.k.a. Fairy Heart.

Gajeel displayed nothing to say he can 1 on 2 the twins in the GMG. Clearly your statement is baseless. DF Sting and DF Rogue together >> Rogue alone.

Lol that statement is pure BS. He had no idea Natsu true power when he got smashed literally two days ago by Natsu with back up. Natsu didn't even go LFD on their butts bcs he knew that'd be overkill. Like said that statement was pure BS plain and simple.

Look @SirSamuel016 post for the rest.

Laxus nuke is more impressive tbh. Erzas speed, Mira's hax, Juvias hax.

Ok, now I'm heated, how in the hell does Natsu rank above Laxus?

His casual lightning nuke went multiple KM abov the clouds. That's the key word, ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

Natsu' strongest attack being his Kings roar can't even scale to Laxus' CASUAL nuke.

Natsu gets wrecked and Gildarts scales above both.

There's a reason why Jellal and him are equal. His meteor reached speeds enough to catch fire and was multiple KM wides.

Yes, Natsu defeated a Spriggan with a very low durability WITH a spell. Gajeel defeated a Spriggan with better durability than both Neinhart and Jacob WITHOUT a spell. This isn't that hard to understand right? Gajeel has shown far better attack power in his Spriggan fight, it's not even debatable.

Yes I can.

Flame Dragon King's Demoltion Fist its AoE was Ikasutsunagi size. Now try to convince me that Iron Shadow Dragon Roar can't cover Ikasutsunagi lol.

Yeah right and exactly how can Natsu undo Gajeel's intangibility?

Nice try :cookiestare
